Story
Meet Moose (he doesn't respond to the name Superman at all). According to his DNA results, he is 35% St Bernard, 18% Labrador Retriever, 13% Siberian Husky and very small percentages of 11 other breeds. Moose is an affectionate, smart, and calm dog believed to be 6-7 years old. He's hoping to find a stable and loving home, where he can relax and serve as the devoted big teddy bear that he is, having had a complicated journey with conflicting narratives...He first arrived at Big Bones in 2024, actually, having made the trip from Texas to Colorado to start a new life. He was a sweet boy and soon adopted into what seemed to be a good situation. As far as we knew, everything was going well for him since that time. In February 2026, Big Bones was contacted by a dog shelter in Denver that scanned his microchip linking him to our rescue. We don't know what the circumstances were that led to his family needing to surrender him, but Moose is safe in a foster home, he is good with people and dogs, his foster Mom has a 22# Male dog and a 55# Female Black Lab and they all get along just fine. He sleeps in the doorway to the bedroom and watches over all of us. He is ready for a real forever home!! Please come meet this big sweet boy today! He is waiting for you in Berthoud, CO!💜🐾

Story
Rachel is an absolute goofball! Clumsy and hilarious and absolutely adores human affection. She is shy at first and will cower and/roll over for pets but she warms up quickly. She has the cutest zoomies and zest for life. Her personality is really unmatched. Her energy level is delightful (she loves a good nap) and has gotten a little more mischievous as she gains confidence which is honestly just cute. Rachel is very easy to train and eager to please. She was going potty on the indoor potty pads after one full day and is working on potty training outside. Her walks are getting better as well, as she gains confidence. She is curious and sweet and just wants to smother you in love! She has been great with my cat and other dog, respecting their boundaries when they set them. She is going to keep her next family laughing and loved. ##2770425##

Please go to our website at www.milehighlabmission.com to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Sweet, goofy and cuddly! He is a total lover boy and will just melt onto any lap that's offered to him! He loves to cuddle with his humans and doggy friends! He's going to make an amazing pup for one lucky family!Story | Pulled from a high-kill shelter in Alabama before making his way to Colorado! We don't have any history on this sweet boy but the rescue's best is that he might be a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix! Other Dogs | Good with other dogs! He's being fostered with big and small dogs and loves his doggy pals! He loves to cuddle with both humans and dogs! Touch is his love language! :)Cats | Liam is being fostered with a kitty and doing well. He's very respectful of the kitty and doesn't chase or bother him. Children | He isn't being fostered with kids, but his foster mom thinks he could do great with kind, respectful kiddos! He's a total sweetheart with everyone he meets!Training | He's potty trained! He'll go in his crate with a treat and is doing great with his crate training! He currently sleeps in his crate at night without a peep until morning. Leash | He walks well on the leash.Activity Level | Moderate! He loves to play with his doggy friends and is a big fan of any kind of toy! He's still great at settling in for a nap though, especially if it's on the humans lap!Health Notes | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!August 29, 2026, 1:53 am

Story
Hi I'm Fred, Freddie, and sometimes even Frederick! My siblings George, Ginny, and I arrived in Colorado at 8 weeks old after being born in the shelter in New Mexico.  Even with this rough start to life, we immediately loved people and other dogs! We are almost 12 weeks old and soon to visit the vet for something called a neuter- whatever that means!  I am the most confident and active of the three of us! I love to stay busy with toys, other dogs, and being outside.  I'm starting some training with treats and learning new words like sit, outside, inside and food/hungry! Food is my favorite time of day and right now I am eating 3 times a day to keep my weight up with my energy as I grow.  I'd love to give you kisses and I'm learning to not turn them into nibbles.  They say I'll be best suited in a house with a fence, probably with someone who has shepherd breed experience, and older or no kids.  I plan on being very smart and need to be entertained with training and enrichment.    If you're interested in meeting Fred please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in him!) His adoption fee is $400 and he will be available as soon as he is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. ##2795504##
