Hi, I’m Johnny! I may not be the first one to run up and introduce myself, but I promise there’s a very sweet boy underneath my shy exterior.
I’m an almost 2 year old, 87 lb. Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd mix, and I’m basically a big, fluffy bundle of feelings.
When I first meet you, I can be very fearful and unsure. New people, new places, and new experiences can take some time for me to process. I need a patient family who will let me take things at my own pace and never rush me into being comfortable. Once I realize I’m safe, though, I really enjoy being with my people and soaking up their love.
My favorite kind of day is honestly a pretty simple one. I love being home with my people, relaxing, getting cozy, and enjoying the peaceful things in life. I’m also a big fan of having other dogs around, especially calm, gentle friends who understand that I’m not always looking for a wild wrestling match.
I’m not the right match for a home with cats or small animals. We don’t know how I would do with cats, and I don't do well with chickens and ducks, so a home without small animals is the safest choice for me.
I’d do best with kids 15 and older who understand that I may need some space while I’m getting comfortable. I’m looking for people who will be patient with me, celebrate the little victories, and give me the time I need to discover that the world isn’t such a scary place.
I might need a little extra time to find my confidence, but once I do, I have so much love to give.
