If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org**.  Hi there! I’m Brock—part Newfoundland, part Great Pyrenees, and 100% committed to being the biggest goofball in your life. Imagine if a teddy bear and a throw rug got together and decided to live their best life as a dog—that’s me! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll greet you like you’re a rock star every time you walk through the door (even if you just went to get the mail), then we might be soulmates. That said, I’m a mellow kind of guy—never one to jump up on you, unless of course you count jumping into your heart with my big soulful eyes and silly grin. I was born around October 2019 and my core interests include: walking at a polite pace, collecting belly rubs like Pokémon cards, and rolling in the grass like it’s my personal spa treatment. I’m the kind of dog who will occasionally plant a soft smooch on your hand just to remind you that I adore you—and also that my belly is still, somehow, not being rubbed. I dabble in fetch, but let’s not pretend I’m out here chasing trophies—I’ll trot after a toy to humor you, bring it back once or twice to be polite, and then stare deep into your soul until you abandon all plans and just rub my belly. Fair warning: I smile like a dork when you do. It's my thing. And treats? I accept them like a Victorian duke—delicately, with a look of mild surprise and refined gratitude. I’m the ultimate fan of low-drama living—no other dogs, no cats plotting my demise, and definitely no sticky-fingered toddlers trying to ride me like a pony. I’ve got a lot of love to give, but I prefer to give it all to you. I’m ready for a peaceful, happy home where I can be spoiled just a little (okay, a lot). So—belly rubs at your place or mine? Story
Shiloh is a 4-year-old Newfoundland mix with Great Pyrenees. We inherited Shiloh from our brother-in-law, who passed away in the Spring. When she was in North Carolina, she was mostly an outside dog, roaming in a fenced backyard, and slept inside. She has been an inside dog since we had her in May of this year and goes on a daily 30-minute walk. Unfortunately, we are not able to dedicate the time and energy to provide the training she needs to correct some of the negative behaviors, mostly resource guarding, which results in being aggressive toward our other dogs. We have a 10-year-old and 2 other dogs. Shiloh is also reactive toward large trucks and other dogs during walks. Having said that, we are really sad to rehome her because she has a very sweet personality when she is not acting up. She is crate trained (needs a sturdy crate) and house trained. We believe that with the right environment and training, she is going to be an excellent pet.

These pups are in Lake Oswego, Oregon too!

If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org. **  If Hannah were a novel, she’d be one of those beautifully written slow burns—the kind that pulls you in gently, page by page, until you realize you’ve fallen completely in love. This lovely little lady is a Great Pyrenees with a calm spirit, a quiet soul, and just a dash of mystery. Born around July 2022, Hannah’s not the life-of-the-party type—more like the girl in the corner reading poetry, waiting for someone kind enough to sit down and really see her. She’s the kind of girl who prefers soft-spoken love stories over action movies, and she’s not one to rush into things. New people? She’ll need a minute. But once you earn her trust (hint: gentle pets and soft voices are her love language), she’ll reward you with the kind of loyalty that will melt your heart into a puddle. Since settling into her foster home, Hannah has begun to discover the art of silliness, especially when playing with the resident dog, her furry partner in backyard shenanigans. Hannah will need a canine companion in her forever home—someone to show her the ropes, share the zoomies, and remind her that life is better with a buddy. Hannah is a smaller Great Pyrenees, which means she brings all the floofy charm of the breed in a slightly more compact package—perfect for those who’ve always dreamed of a Pyr but weren’t sure they had the square footage! Leashes are still a bit of a mystery to her, so she’ll need someone who’s willing to teach her at her own pace—but with kindness and consistency, she’ll learn they’re just another way to walk beside you. Hannah is looking for a home that’s quiet, steady, and full of love—the kind of place where she can take a deep breath and finally exhale. She’s not flashy or loud, but if you’re a person who believes quiet love is the loudest kind, and that every great dog deserves their time to bloom—Hannah may just be your perfect match. Story
If your checklist includes finding a furry adventure buddy with a love for people and all things outdoorsy, Howie is your guy. Born around June 2017, Howie’s ideal match would be an active owner who loves exploring as much as he does. While he’s perfectly content to spend the day lounging on the back porch or catching up on his beauty sleep, Howie also has bursts of playful energy that will remind you just how fun life can be! Walks are his favorite, and while he may get a bit excited at the sight of other dogs, a confident owner with a firm grip will make those outings a breeze. Handsome, intelligent, and as sweet as they come, Howie is a social guy who loves making new friends. Once you’ve earned his trust, he’s the most loyal companion you could hope for. While he’s not the type to crawl into your lap for a cuddle, he’ll happily lay by your feet while you work, offering quiet support and the occasional side-eye if you’re not sharing snacks. Howie’s ideal family would be an experienced and active one, without cats, small dogs, or young children—teenagers are more his speed! He’d thrive with a large lady dog companion, or as the solo star of the show with an owner who knows their way around big, lovable pups. This boy is bursting with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right person to share it with—preferably someone with treats and hiking boots. If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org.** Meet Humphry—a sweet little lovebug with the soul of a poet. As the biggest pup in his litter, you might assume he would be the rowdy kid in the bunch, but Humphry’s the one quietly taking it all in—like a little philosopher in fur. While his siblings bounce and tumble, Humphry is often found taking in the world with curious eyes, as if he’s making sure he doesn’t miss a single detail. Born in May 2025, Humphry is the kind of pup who’d rather give you a soft puppy kiss than wrestle for the spotlight. He’s a certified snuggler, happiest when he’s curled up in your lap and soaking in every hug and kiss you’re willing to give. Calm, sweet, and irresistibly cuddly, Humphry is proof that the biggest paws can belong to the softest soul. Whoever scoops up this little cutie is in for a lifetime of puppy smooches and loyal companionship. Humphry will need obedience training as he gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. He loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as his mentor as he continues to understand the rules of his new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered.
