Drink in the sweetness of this little pup! Poor little baby was found wandering with a small group of dogs and didn't have anyone looking. A kind person cared for her for a few weeks and brought puppy here to find her forever home. Puppy has started first shots and will be spayed on 7/7 so can go home real soon. We estimate the puppy was born around 4/16 and will remain small. Pup definitely looks like Chihuahua and the Papillon is a guess, but they were found with a female who looked very much like she was Papillon mix (may have been the mom). 100% adorable for sure! If you are looking for a great little companion, look no further as Lemonade might just be the one. $350.00 adoption includes spay, microchip and vaccinations. Story
It’s with a sad heart that I need to rehome my chi mix dog. He’s long hair (I keep short) He will be 7 Dec 25. He definitely bonds heavily with his person but loves anyone who pays attention to him. He is a barker, so unfortunately he is unable to live in my new home(apartment) Good on leash, prefers harness. House trained, uses a bell on back slider to “ring” when he needs to potty or wants to enjoy the outside lol.. Crate trained at night and during day when needed. Lived with a cat the last 3 years. Potential to do great in a home with other dogs. Grew up with kids in home, youngest was 2 at time we adopted him. Please only serious adopters: he will come with his crate, blankets, food bowls, loves clothes, current food, trimmers, harness/leash. Free to a good home! You’ll love his personality when he warms up to you, perfect couch buddy!

Story
Chihuahua Mix Age: > 1 yrs old Male, neutered 7 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Charlie was dropped off at the Berkeley Animal Shelter by someone who initially stated that they “found him.” Then it was discovered that person actually had the dog for a couple of months, so it was treated as an “owner surrender.” He has no real use of his back legs. They were froze/locked in a rigid position, so he used them to steady his back end, but he wasn’t able to actually move them in any useful way. X-rays of his spine showed a major deformity that he was likely born with. The shelter didn’t have the resources to care for this kind of disability. They called us before making the decision to euthanize him. We have determined that Charlie is incontinent (bowels and bladder) due to his condition. He mostly gets around by dragging his hind legs, and occasionally using his legs as “crutches”. The foster family hasn’t done a lot of work on getting him to use a wheelchair/cart. As a puppy he is very playful. He had to learn a lot of puppy manners while interacting with the other dogs in the home. He is doing pretty well in that area. Charlie would do well in a home with other friendly, playful dogs his size. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
