Story
Welcome Sissy to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3.5-year-old Papillion mix pup. She is Black and white with a with the fluffy coat much like the pure Papillion She weighs about 12 pounds. She is getting spayed next week. She lives in a home with a number of other dogs and does great. She lives with an older woman and she is very loyal to her. We are working with her on a harness and leash. She doesn’t know how to walk on leash at this time. She needs to find her forever home. The person she lived with since she was a puppy has had a change in her living conditions and the neighbor has mentioned harming the dogs. When she told us this, CCPAL stepped up for 3 of the dogs. Sissy is still in foster care at the moment. Her foster mom is working on leash and harness walking and taking her places for strangers to meet her. This group of dogs are all under-socialized but we will work hard to get them used to new things, leash walking, crate training and more. She is a wonderful breed and if you love this breed you will like any one of these pups. These dogs would make great companion dogs and love to be at home with their person. They would already be wonderful for someone who loves the breed and maybe is a person that wants a companion but doesn’t need them to be a dog you can take everywhere. These dogs would be ok around children. We like them to be 10 or older with the smaller dogs. Sissy is in CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Cody! Cody joined the Living the Dream family as an owner surrender. His former dad is a truck driver and recognized Cody needed a more stable home. Cody is 2-years-old and weighs 14 lbs   In his foster home, Cody is getting along very well with all dogs and people, and is even opening up to the cat! Cody is also wonderful with children and is very gentle when playing with them.  Cody is very playful and loves to run around, but will also snuggle up at night or whenever you need a napping buddy. He has excellent indoor manners and is also crate-trained. Cody is learning to walk on a leash and will need continued work with that, but he's a quick study!   Cody is one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet and will make a wonderful addition to any family. If you'd like to give Cody the loving home he deserves, please apply online at  https://www.livingthedreamdogrescue.com/adopt   ##2118189##

Story
Meet Faye, a courageous one-year-old, 9 lb. longhaired Papillon with a heartwarming journey from the Caribbean to Connecticut. Faye's story began with a stroke of luck when a compassionate Good Samaritan rescued her from the streets where she had lived a life of solitude, barely knowing human kindness or interaction. Upon being rescued, it was discovered that Faye had some significant health challenges. She had heartworm, lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and was pregnant. Sadly, she lost all but one of her puppies. Despite these hardships, Faye's resilient spirit shines through, and she is now on a path toward recovery and a brighter future. Faye is a gentle soul in search of a furever home willing to be patient and understanding as she navigates her new world. This mellow girl is defined by her loving and loyal nature, always happiest when by your side. Whether it's lounging at home or embarking on spontaneous adventures, Faye is up for it all! She delights in going for walks, where she can sniff and explore to her heart's content, and she especially enjoys soaking up the sun while lounging in the grass. She gets along well with other dogs and actually thrives in their company. Having a canine companion has helped Faye become more independent and has significantly reduced her separation anxiety. She's proven to be a great friend to her puppy pal and would do best in a home where another dog can provide her with companionship and support. In terms of manners, Faye is housetrained and is ready to bring her calm presence to a quiet, experienced, adult-only household. She is scared of children and teens. She would benefit from someone who can continue to nurture her confidence and provide positive reinforcement training. With the right guidance and patience, Faye is sure to blossom into an even more wonderful companion. Her adoption fee is $400 and Faye is vaccinated, is in the process of completing her heartworm treatment, and will be spayed and microchipped when ready.
