Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This spunky looking guy is just that, full of spunk and fun and ready to enjoy life in a new home.  This is PANDA, a 5 year old, 11 pound Papillon mix with well you make a guess at what he is mixed with.  He is a mix of happiness and fun.  Gets along with all of the dogs, crate and potty, house trained.  He is a routine kind of guy and very independent but he likes to be in the same room you are in just so he can keep an eye on you! PANDA rides in the car without getting sick and walks very well on a leash.  He was found on the streets with no microchip and very neglected and matted.  He has been a great addition to my home as he is easy to care for and he gets along with all of the dogs, large and small. He would love to meet you!  If you are interested in adopting PANDA, please submit an application on the website below or feel free to call me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
Name: Lady Nickname: Chocolate Breed: Papillon mix? Long-haired Chihuahua? Anyone’s guess! Age: 2 years est. Sex: Female Weight: 10 lbs Before OMD: Found as a stray with bad cherry eye, which has since been corrected. What we love most: Sweet, loving, cuddly, and just a really lovely little dog. She’s chill and affectionate with a fun, sassy personality that comes out once she feels comfortable. What she loves most: Toys, food, people, walks, and snuggling. She especially loves plush toys and will happily take every toy out of the bin and scatter them around the house. Cuddly or independent: Definitely cuddly! Lady loves sitting on your lap while you work and curling up with you on the couch, but she’s also perfectly happy entertaining herself. Working on: Confidence with new people. She can be fearful and vocal when meeting strangers, but give her a few minutes and she warms up and shows you her sweet personality. She’s also working on stairs and becoming fully house trained. Dogs: Great with other dogs so far and starting to play with her (small) foster dog siblings. No aggression or resource guarding. Cats: Unknown but we suspect she would be just fine Kids: Dog-savvy 8 + please since she can be fearful House trained: About 75% there and continuing to improve. Crate trained: Will tolerate the crate; recently graduated from the crate overnight to sleeping in the bed. You should also know: Lady’s mischievous side is coming out. She has figured out how to open cabinets and closed doors and has recently discovered the garbage. Lady is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She can be adopted to residents of CT and surrounding states. Please complete an application if interested in adopting.

Story
Grace was surrendered to a shelter with her housemate Rocky. Both were scheduled to be euthanized within the week due to fear/anxiety/stress within the shelter. Pulled by this rescue on their scheduled D-Day, Grace had pneumonia and obvious ongoing malnutrition. Once out of the shelter environment she began to open up to her foster Mom. Pneumonia was treated, she was able to get spayed, and now she is a zig zag wiggleworm of excitement! She is silly, fun, playful, happy, fetches, wrestles, and gives kisses! You have to earn her trust before she comes to you, but that is a fair ask! Currently working on potty training and getting more weight on her and leash training. Goal will be about 25#. She will excel in a home with a fenced yard, daily exercise (she has plenty of energy now!) and people who understand her wariness of anything/anyone. She is an absolute doll that will melt your heart. She takes treats from yiur hands like a sneaky raccoon… slowly and carefully, then runs off to eat them!
