Story
Molly is an adorable 1.5 yr old, 15lb TFT or Rat Terrier mix ( she was 11 lbs when we first got her but she is a big fan of food!) She was surrendered to a local shelter with other dogs. She was terrified in the shelter environment, so we didn’t hesitate to pull her. Molly is a sweet goofy girl, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. She LOVES to play with other similar sized energetic dogs. She is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed as an only dog! Older dogs may not appreciate her enthusiasm. She is fine with cats and even tries to get them to play. Once she gets to know you, she is the biggest sweetheart, but she is SUPER timid with new people. She needs someone who can give her the time she needs to get used to new people, it helps that she is food motivated! We are seeking a home with no kids. Molly is seeking a home with a SECURELY fenced yard . She is learning how to walk on a leash but will alligator roll to try and get out of going for walk. Molly is a lover; she wants to snuggle and give kisses. If you do not like dog kisses, then Molly is not the dog for you! Molly is VERY very smart and is a possible candidate for agility. Molly is crate trained and housetrained. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY

LOOKING FOR A NICE HOSPICE HOME:  Approx. 13 years  old / Approx. 13 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilfred!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am sure happy about that.  I needed bloodwork and a good dental cleaning when I arrived and I've had those now, thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization!  Unfortunately, my teeth had been so neglected that they all had to be pulled.  I also needed some additional medical care – see medical below.  I’m grateful for the good care that I’m getting and the love from my wonderful foster family while I wait for my hospice family to find me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along just fine with the dogs in my foster home and I follow their cues, too.  I’m not looking for a playmate, but a gentle companion would be fine with me, so let’s meet!  I also met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and although I didn’t want to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression.  / I get along fine with the very dog friendly kitties in my foster home, too.  Of course, all kitties are different, so use careful introductions. / I haven’t met kids yet, so if you have kids that are old enough to be very gentle with me, let’s meet and no toddlers that may fall on me or very young children.       • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was pretty confused and unsettled when I first found myself at animal control and later at the Mostly Mutts shelter. I didn’t really understand what had happened, but even though I was unsure, I was never unkind — just a little lost. At the shelter, I had a hard time relaxing and would pace a lot. Now that I’m in a foster home, life feels so much better! I do love following my foster around the house, and I’m beginning to relax in a soft, cozy dog bed. I think I’d be happiest with a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member who wouldn’t mind having me as their loyal little sidekick. I’m described as a very easy dog to foster who is sweet, quiet, calm and gentle. I was a ‘perfect gentleman’ for my shelter bath, too — even offering my paws for the rinsing phase.  I’m not playful or a snuggler, but I am a sweetie!  As I’m following my foster around, I’ve been a tripping hazard on a few occasions, so it’s best that I don’t live with anyone who may have mobility issues.  / My energy level is 3-5 and I do enjoy my morning walks with the other dogs and don’t want to be left behind.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I don’t really know any commands, and since I’m a senior fellow, I think we can skip the training and just enjoy each other’s company! / I do well in a gated area in my foster home for bedtime. / Since I’m a bit older, I do need to go out to potty a bit more than the young dogs. In my foster home, I’ll whine when I need to go, so know that that’s my cue.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with my family and the other pets in my foster home and I’ve loved everyone I’ve met so far.  I don’t ask for much – just a nice safe home with a wonderful family where I’ll know I’m loved and included. / I don’t like being left behind when it’s time for a walk outside and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, good care and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have a grade 4/5 heart murmur, so I eat a low salt soft diet and am on 2 heart medications: Enalapril twice a day, and Vetmedin once a day.  I also take an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin daily and a little fish oil for my skin.  I had a boo boo on my hind end that has been tended to and is healing.  As mentioned above, I had to have all my teeth pulled. I seem to be a bit hard of hearing and have some vision loss – both likely just due to my age, but I don’t let it get me down. I am looking for a loving family to give me a wonderful home!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  September 16, 2025, 10:43 am

‘WALTONS’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 2 months old / Approx. 6 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m one of the adorable ‘Waltons’ themed puppies who came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I’ve been growing, learning and thriving in my wonderful foster home and now I’m ready to find a great home and family of my very own!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and do well with the other dogs in my foster home, too.  I’ve been interested and submissive with them – even the nice 90 lbs. dog, so if you have a dog that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I like the teens in my foster home, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’ve grown a lot – both in size and personality – and turned into quite the silly little guy, full of charm and sweetness.  Even though I started out as the smallest and most reserved of the four siblings in my foster home, I’ve always been incredibly loving and snuggly, and I’ll happily curl up for a nap right in your lap!  The Mostly Mutts photographer reported that I was cute, playful and active during my photo shoot. / Energy level: Approx 4-6, though this could change as I grow up. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / You can crate train me. / I’m doing well using potty pads in an enclosed area, but I’m just a baby, so I’ll need my new family to potty train me in our yard. I’m very small so please stay close to me outside so the birds of prey don’t take an interest in me. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to explore and play with my toys, and I really enjoy playing outside with my siblings and family in our yard.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other fun things we will enjoy doing together as I grow up. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    December 12, 2025, 8:14 am

Story
A SWEET LITTLE GUY:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi, I’m Stanley! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control heartworm positive and pretty sick at the time — no worries though as the wonderful folks here made sure I got the good care I needed and I’m feeling good again.  I’ve received my heartworm treatment and completed my rest period, so I’m back to my regular play and exercise routine.  I’m dreaming about the day I can head home with my very own family, could it be you?  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and didn’t play or show any aggression with them.  I met 2 dogs when I had a spend the night with a volunteer and I coexisted nicely as well as played with them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / I met 2 dog-friendly kitties in the home I visited, and I wanted to play with them. / When I spent the night with a nice volunteer, I did well with the teenagers in the home.  So, if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.       • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a very sweet, friendly little guy who loves to spread joy wherever I go!  Playtime is one of my favorite times, and I can’t help but show off my signature happy dance when I’m excited — it’s sure to make you smile.  I was a total charmer during my photo session, happily posing and showing off my fun-loving personality.  I enjoy snoozing behind the front desk in my signature position - on my back with my paws up in the air – which the volunteers say is absolutely adorable!  I’m also a bit of an escape artist — if a door is open even for a second, I may try to dash out — so my forever family will need to keep me safe with secure doors, a collar, and close supervision.  With my affectionate nature and playful spirit, I’m ready to bring a whole lot of love and laughter into my forever home. / Energy level: 4-6, sometimes a little higher, and I should stay on the calmer side until I’ve finished my heart worm treatment recovery period. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘drop it’ and ‘place’ commands as well as how to utilize proper door etiquette and proper leash walking.  I also ride well in the car so you can take me places. / I slept in my crate in my foster home, I hop right in when my foster points and says “get in your crate” (sometimes even without a treat, though a snack helps if I’m feeling stubborn), I sleep there at night, and while I might bark a little at first, I settle down quickly.  / I’m still working on my potty training and will need some guidance, but I keep my crate clean and have a predictable schedule, so once you learn my routine, it’s easy to know when to take me out.  I pottied outside in the home I visited, though I did try to mark a few times.  • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love spending time with people, playing with toys, and treats!  I love to bask in the sun and go for walks.  I’m sure we’ll discover even more fun things to enjoy together! / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  As stated above, I came in heartworm positive.  I have completed my heartworm treatment and rest period, and I am ready to get back into a regular exercise routine.  Local adoption would still be best for my heartworm re-check in March 2026.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.   I’m looking for a great family to love and be loved by. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 3, 2025, 8:44 am
