Story
There you have it! I was living alone in the pound and being a smart and sensitive Jack Russel boy and I was totally shut down.... I didn't want to trust anyone and the loud pound, filled with scared animals who are desperate to get out alive......... and I was one of them. So I was SO SO SO LUCKY, one of the rescue ladies happened to stop by to see ME!! She heard about my predicament being so scared and untrusting.... and she decided to give ME a chance!! NOW I am living the good "foster" life ;) I have lots of friends to hang with and other than the cats I am LOVING my "foster" life :) I am ready for my very own family, I am smart and sweet and may take a day or so to settle in but it will happen and then after that.... you will fall hard for my sweet and CUDDLY personality. ADOPT ME SOON!! I am ready for you! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Spike is in search for his forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: Spike, AKA His Royal Spiciness, is our special little man! He's got pzazz and spunk even though he's a senior boy. He desperately wants your affection but will sometimes reward that affection with a nip on the hand because he's decided, in his Chihuahua energy, that he doesn't want to be touched anymore. Don't worry though - he has 3.5 teeth so you don't really feel it. He loves to cuddle, but again - don't let him sleep next to you because if you DARE to MOVE he will be shooketh at the thought that a human would even think to disturb him and will snap. How else will he earn his title of 'His Royal Spiciness'? All this to say... he has a loyal fanbase of fosters who love his personality and ease of leaving him alone so the spiciness grows on you. If you're looking for a dog that will add spice to your life, Spike is your man. Spike recently underwent surgery to remove a mass on his head, and while it was entirely removed with narrow margins, it is possible due to the nature of the tumor it may have spread elsewhere in his body. However clinically, Spike is thriving. He is energetic and spry, eats well, and still very much enjoys his life. Check out Spike's video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYsD1bKn42Y ATTRIBUTES: Spike does well in foster with other dogs that respect his personal boundaries and gives him space. Spike should not go to a home with cats or kids. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. Story
If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a bat-dog hybrid who runs on unlimited energy and pure joy, your dreams just came true. Missy is a 22lb, 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix who looks like a bat in disguise (seriously—check out those ears!) with the sweetest brown eyebrows and muzzle freckles you’ll ever see.Missy is a professional zoomie champion who believes exercise is a lifestyle, not a hobby. One walk? Great. Two walks? Better. Three? LET’S GO.This silly girl is smart as a whip and eager to please. She knows her commands, sits patiently at the door like a little lady until you say “okay, let’s go!” and beams with pride whenever she hears the magic words “good girl.” The only thing she loves more than hearing that? Attention. Any kind. From anyone. Always.Missy is perfectly house-trained, sleeps like an angel once she’s in her crate (bonus points if she gets a blanket to burrow in), and is working hard on her leash manners. She’s very enthusiastic about dogs, cats, squirrels, and, well, life in general—sometimes too enthusiastic—so she’ll do best in a home that can match her zest with consistent training, playtime, and lots of patience. Her dislikes? Being ignored, crate time, and small woodland critters who dare to exist. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, high-energy best friend who will keep you laughing (and moving!) every single day, Missy is your girl.If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
This 18-month-ish Jack Russell / Smooth Fox Terrier mystery mix is 16 pounds of tri-color charm, a dash of goofiness, and a whole galaxy of potential.Aries didn’t have the easiest start (being abandoned in a park will do that), so she’s still learning that the world isn’t as scary as it once felt. But wow, is she blossoming. She’s housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on leash in calmer environments, and—thanks to a road trip résumé that includes TX to MD and a multi-state camping adventure—she’s an elite little traveler.Aries is the ultimate cuddle comet: she loves snuggling other dogs, sometimes a little too enthusiastically, and is learning that not every dog wants her sleeping directly on top of them. With cats? She shrugs. With people and new dogs? She warms up fast when she feels safe… but may give you the “stranger danger” side-eye for a minute first. Fair enough.Inside the home, Aries is all about soft blankets, cozy sweaters, couch hangs, and routine. She’s smart, sensitive, food-motivated, and so ready to be part of a real family for the first time. She’ll thrive in a calm, predictable home—suburban vibes preferred—with adults or dog-savvy older kids who understand that confidence takes time. Whether she joins an existing pack or flies solo, this sweet girl is absolutely ready to love big. She just needs her constellation of people to shine with.If you’d like to take Aries home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes.
