No unfenced pool Annie was born in approximately 2013. She is a very sweet, affectionate dog who gets along with all other dogs. She is mostly potty trained with the occasional accident. Annie is currently about 14.5 pounds. Annie has a left Atrium leaky valve and an enlarged heart, which has been managed well with medication. She will need to remain on this medication for the rest of her life and have regular follow-up visits with a cardiologist to monitor her progress. Annie was rescued from the shelter. Her owner had moved and left her with friends who did not want her so they passed her along to someone else, who also didn’t want her and they left her outside, so they didn’t have to deal with her. Annie was good at escaping from their yard and would often be found wandering the neighborhood. She was finally picked up by Animal Control and brought to the shelter. Owners were contacted and relinquished Annie to the shelter.

PJ is a super adorable looking guy, but his personality is not for everyone. PJ really needs time to adjust to his people. He can be unsure when first meeting you, but with patience and a calm attitude he will soon be your wiggly baby. We are unsure of what happen to PJ before he came to us but it is evident that he is very cautious. A loud extremely active home would not be a good option for this man.   PJs perfect home would be with a single person, older couple, or mellow family that is willing to continue to work with PJ and give him all the love in the world.  He is currently in foster with three children that are respectful of his boundaries. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bubba Bear came to Shamrock Rescue after we saw a post saying he would be euthanized if a home couldn't be found. This sweet boy's mouth was a mess. He had to have 17 teeth pulled. Yes, 17. He also had a respiratory infection. That's all cleared up, his mouth is healed, and he's doing so much better. He does have a collapsed trachea, which means he needs to stay calm and will occasionally need cough medicine. but other than that, he's a healthy boy. We were told he's a Peke, but we think he's a mix, maybe with a Pomeranian -- a great combo, we've found from experience. Whatever he is, he is CUTE! He's overweight, but we're working on slimming him down. He is a DOLL. Whoever adopts this boy will have a wonderful companion who is happy, silly and loving. He's learning to walk on a leash and gets along well with most dogs.  He much prefers to have the company of others around him and follows his foster mom wherever she will let him. He's content to eat by himself, but once he's finished, he wants to be with her. He needs a home where people are there most of the time -- someone who's retired or works from home would be ideal. We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 7 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. Dogs like JENNY also require regular ongoing grooming maintenance to prevent dangerous matts and tangles in the fur which can cause serious skin damage. BANDIT, recently groomed and clipped, is a long legged Lhasa Apso, who is 6-7 years old, 17 pounds, and has been an only dog with the same family (who could not keep him), since puppyhood. Bandit's only flaw is that he is overly loyal and protective, and will take a nip out of a stranger's foot or ankle if they suddenly come too close. Lhasas are a very ancient breed and were fierce little sentinel and guard dogs for the Dalai Llama and Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. The 14th Dalai Llama sent them as gifts to the West, and they have been a favorite ever since. Bandit is neutered and vaccinated and eager to be welcomed into his new home where he can be the dedicated guardian he was meant to be.
