Meet Perry, a 6 year old white Pekingese with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Rescued after being abandoned, Perry is all smiles now. He’s sweet, kind, great with other dogs, and an absolute joy to be around. He loves companionship, cozy moments, and happily trots off for brushing like a little prince. Perry is easygoing, playful, and makes a fantastic companion or first-time dog. Small, charming, and full of love — Perry is ready to steal hearts and settle into his forever home. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Story

Mochi is a sweet senior pup with some special needs who is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he can feel safe and loved. He is both blind and deaf, so he relies on routine and a calm environment to help him feel secure. He also has an adorably long tongue that hangs out, but it doesn't require any special care. Because of his age and sensory loss, Mochi can be easily startled and may react defensively if touched unexpectedly. He recently nipped at our young child when he was frightened, and for everyone's safety we've made the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home without children or frequent visitors. Mochi would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands senior or special-needs dogs and can give him patience, consistency, and gentle handling. Once he feels safe, he enjoys resting nearby and being a quiet companion. We love Mochi very much and want to ensure he spends his golden years in a peaceful home that fits his needs.

His foster says the experience of losing his home of more than a decade hasn’t seemed to faze him, as he’s a happy, spritely pup full of energy that belies his age. He’s a healthy boy with great hearing and vision who loves walks, head and neck pets and belly rubs. He’s a low-maintenance dog who gets along with other canines in the house – though he often has something to say about dogs encountered on his walks – and has big, heart-melting eyes. Jojo is up-do-date on vaccines, parasite-free and microchipped. He’s completely house-trained! He is not fully socialized with dogs in the open but he’s gets along with dogs 1-1 in the home. He is very comfortable around hoomans and likes pets on the head, neck and belly rubs. Jojo is a low maintenance incredibly soft short-haired Pekingese with big eyes that will melt your heart! We hope you have room in your heart and home for this little fella! While we would prefer that he have a yard and have indicated that, he would probably be OK in an apartment or condo, preferably one with a small yard as he is fully house-trained. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot adopt small dogs like Jojo to homes with pools that are not fenced separately from the rest of the yard. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sandie was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. She is a very sweet little girl who charms everyone she meets. She can sometimes be shy or even frightened around new people. We don't know what happened to her before she wound up in the shelter. She may have been mistreated, or she could have lacked the proper socialization that would allow her to know that strangers do not mean danger most of the time ... but she does warm up given some time to get used to new people and places. She is a darling little fluffball who we would like to see have a home with a yard. She LOVES to play in a yard and roll around on grass, so we'd like her to have that opportunity. If she does have a yard it must have a fence, and she will need to be watched when she is outside, especially if her new home is in an area where coyotes and other wild critters live. As it can take awhile for her to warm up to new people, her home should be in Orange County or close to it so we can help with that if needed. She can be left alone without issues and did well in a confined area in her foster's home. She rides well in a crate in a car and also sleeps in one. She likes other dogs but probably would do better as an only dog -- once she knows and trusts you, her favorite thing is being around you all the time. They were rescued by a relative and taken to a shelter. Shamrock took all five dogs. Dutch's sister, Princess, and brother Brownie were adopted immediately. His brother Bear found a home about a month after getting out of the shelter. Dutch and his brother Teddy are still looking for their homes. The shelter listed the dogs as Pekingese, but we think they are some kind of mix. They're the perfect candidates for DNA testing, as we really can't tell by looking at them. Dutch would do best with someone who is home most of the time or can take him along on outings, weather permitting. He would do OK with a calm, confident dog who doesn't care that Dutch really wants to be the center of your world -- making him an ideal only dog. He would love to share your bed but is not a fan of crates, either in the car or at home. We suggest a seat with a strap that secures him in by attaching to his harness. Dutch is a lovely boy who deserves the best of homes, with someone or a family who will love him and give him a wonderful life. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot adopt small dogs like Dutch to homes with pools that are not fenced separately from the rest of the yard. JENNY--Help needed JENNY is in need of sponsorship in our sponsorship program to pay for the remainder of her extensive veterinary costs. We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 7 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. Dogs like JENNY also require regular ongoing grooming maintenance to prevent dangerous matts and tangles in the fur which can cause serious skin damage. BANDIT, recently groomed and clipped, is a long legged Lhasa Apso/Maltipoo, who is 7 years old, 17 pounds, and has been an only dog with the same family (who could not keep him), since puppyhood. Bandit does bite people. His main flaw is that he is overly loyal and protective, and will take a bite out of a stranger's foot or ankle if they suddenly come too close. Lhasas are a very ancient breed and were fierce little sentinel and guard dogs for the Dalai Llama and Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. The 14th Dalai Llama sent them as gifts to the West, and they have been a favorite ever since. Bandit is neutered and vaccinated and we are searching for an understanding and patient new home where he can be the dedicated guardian he was meant to be.
