Elle Woofs is a 2-year-old, 11.5-pound Pekingese mix who came to us after the heartbreaking loss of her loving owner. While it’s sad that she had to say goodbye to the only home she has ever known, Elle is ready to find a new family to love and trust. She is a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she gives the sweetest kisses and loves curling up in laps. Elle is not pushy; she enjoys being held and petted at her own pace, making her a perfect companion for calm, patient adults or gentle children. She also gets along well with other dogs. Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Elle Woofs is ready to find a forever home where she can feel cherished, secure, and loved for the affectionate little soul she is. -------- Looking to Adopt? Story
Furcules is a 1.5 year old and 15-pound Pekingese mix who came to us from Fresno after the heartbreaking passing of his loving owner. While it’s sad that he had to say goodbye to the only home he's ever known, Furcules is ready to find a new family to love and trust. He’s cautious around new people and prefers to take his time getting comfortable, but with patience and gentle care, he shows his loyal, affectionate side. Furcules has a calm, observant personality and enjoys relaxing in his bed while quietly taking in the world around him. He tolerates other dogs and would thrive in a calm, patient household where he can feel safe, loved, and blossom at his own pace. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Furcules is ready for his second chance! ---------- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. When one of Jojo’s owners decided he was no longer wanted, he was in need of a savior. His foster says the experience of losing his home of more than a decade hasn’t seemed to faze him, as he’s a happy, spritely pup full of energy that belies his age. He’s a healthy boy with great hearing and vision who loves walks, head and neck pets and belly rubs. He’s a low-maintenance dog who gets along with other canines in the house – though he often has something to say about dogs encountered on his walks – and has big, heart-melting eyes. Jojo is up-do-date on vaccines, parasite-free and microchipped. He’s completely house-trained! He is not fully socialized with dogs in the open but he’s gets along with dogs 1-1 in the home. He is very comfortable around hoomans and likes pets on the head, neck and belly rubs.  Jojo is a low maintenance incredibly soft short-haired Pekingese with big eyes that will melt your heart! We hope you have room in your heart and home for this little fella!  While we would prefer that he have a yard and have indicated that, he would probably be OK in an apartment or condo, preferably one with a small yard as he is fully house-trained. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot adopt small dogs like Jojo to homes with pools that are not fenced separately from the rest of the yard. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 25, 2025, 3:50 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Teddy is a sweet boy who was found with his four littermates last summer. They were in their owner's home, and the owner had passed. All of Teddy's littermates have found homes, but Teddy is still looking for his. He's a sweet boy who loves to sunbathe, lie on your bed or couch, and just chill with you. He's not much into toys, but he does love hugs and kisses. He's deaf so he doesn’t come when he’s called, but if he sees you, he will come running.  Teddy is one of the friendliest little guys we’ve ever had and so deserving of a home where he can be loved for the rest of his life . He’s located in Orange County, California, and we would love to either find a foster for him or hopefully his forever home. One thing Teddy is not fond of: crates. We guess he never got used to one, because he panics and/or cries when he is in one (He will tolerate riding in one in the car, but don't try to listen to the radio. Your trip's accompaniment with Pekingese laments.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 30, 2026, 6:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sandie was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. She is a very sweet little girl who charms everyone she meets. She can sometimes be shy or even frightened around new people. We don't know what happened to her before she wound up in the shelter. She may have been mistreated, or she could have lacked the proper socialization that would allow her to know that strangers do not mean danger most of the time ... but she does warm up given some time to get used to new people and places.  She is a darling little fluffball who we would like to see have a home with a yard. She LOVES to play in a yard and roll around on grass, so we'd like her to have that opportunity. If she does have a yard it must have a fence, and she will need to be watched when she is outside, especially if her new home is in an area where coyotes and other wild critters live.  As it can take awhile for her to warm up to new people, her home should be in Orange County or close to it so we can help with that if needed.  She can be left alone without issues and did well in a confined area in her foster's home. She rides well in a crate in a car and also sleeps in one. She likes other dogs but probably would do better as an only dog -- once she knows and trusts you, her favorite thing is being around you all the time. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 25, 2025, 3:50 pm

Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET THIS FABULOUS DUO…..and you will fall in love. (respectively) Caitlyn and Cameron are 18/22 lbs, both 2 yrs old, tan/black Lhasa/Shih Tzu and Lhasa X — likely litter mates. When we get dogs like these two, it reminds me why I fell in love with the breed. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are so smart and have so much personality! We were called and told that a Good Samaritan found them huddled in an alley together and was taking them to the Orange County Shelter to locate their owners. Yes, they were a mess. No they didn’t walk on a leash until they came to us, but they are so loving and happy, we are thrilled that they are here. It was difficult getting individual pictures of them because they are always together, on top of each other and/or playing. They even do their business in unison!! They love to cuddle with each other and you — they give lots of kisses and just reek of puppy love! Initially, they were very fearful and reluctant to meet anyone, but not an ounce of aggression. It takes a minute for them to warm up, but it is so understandable. They have only been here a short time and they are already overwhelming their foster with affection and love. As every day passes, they get more and more rambunctious. Definitely need an active family to love these two to life. The ideal home for Caitlyn and Cameron would be one where there are kids over 8 yrs, a yard and dog parents who are able to spend time and train them. They seem to be potty trained, but no guarantees at your house. They have been extremely quiet, but they just recently arrived. They are learning what toys are…all the writer of their profile can say is they are VERY SPECIAL and will only go home together, so please don’t ask us to split them up. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET NEW KID ON THE BLOCK….GUMBO!! We named him Gumbo because he’s a very eclectic breed combo, maybe Lhasa or Tibetan Terrier and Pomeranian? He doesn’t shed 😉 He’s only a year old, tri colored with a black mask and 20 lbs. Maybe Tibetan Terrier X? We don’t know, but it doesn’t matter to us. HE IS A SWEETHEART! 100% puppy! He hails from the streets of Compton, where he was rescued before getting hit by a car! Gumbo is an active guy, as any one year old puppy is….but he does settle down and loves to cuddle. On walks, he wants to meet everyone and socialize! After he was neutered and dewclaws were removed, we took him to doggie day care to play with the other pups — and he is having a ball! Reports are he’s getting along with everyone, great eater and just needs to learn some manners! He does love to please and listens!! He was getting the hang of potty training but will need a refresher course after being at daycare! The one thing we have learned about Gumbo is he does not like being alone or separated from the action. He needs a family (kids over 8 would be good, younger he might knock them over!) that will take time to train him and love him to life!! He’s a big kisser and just a very happy go lucky dog. Still learning about toys and what to do with them. He’s a diamond in the rough…scrumptious and a delight. Are you looking for a mascot for your home? He’s waiting. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. Story
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET BRONCO…. This handsome, 15 lb, tricolored, 3 year old Lhasa/Shih Tzu/Poodle is a wonderful combination of sweetness and opinions! We are working with 4 Paws Kiddo Rescue to make sure he gets the ideal home. Bronco was dumped in the shelter after a bite incident in his former home. We don’t know how this happened, but we know that he doesn’t like being heavy handled. Since this incident, we have opted to take Bronco to training to desensitize any negative behavior. He was evaluated and has fear aggression with strangers. Once he respects you, he is a wonderful dog. As you can tell by the video, Bronco can be a very loving, happy dog. He just needs to respect you as his leader. He should go to a home without kids and a savvy/experienced family who have dealt with “opinionated” dogs. I can say that he is a wonderful dog and very loving and obedient once he knows the rules! Bronco needs a home that will give him parameters and love him to life. With guidance (and he comes with a trainer) he will be that dog you are looking for. Plays like a maniac with toys and even fetches … follows you everywhere and will prove you’re a good cook! He eats like it’s the first time he’s seen food — blink, it’s gone! Before training, he pulled on the leash and was easily distracted by buses and trucks on the street. He has learned how to be a gentleman on walks!! If you scold him, he will give you side eye for a moment and wait to hear “ok, now good boy” and he’s over it. Bronco sits quietly while you work (or squeaking a toy to remind you he is there)! If you are not at home and you are in an apartment/condo, he will bark voraciously when anyone walks by, but then he is quiet again. He also responds to “leave it” and will be quiet. He does NOT have separation anxiety and gets along great with other dogs once introduced To keep him healthy — Bronco really needs a 2 mile walk daily or exercised to get his playfulness in check! Bronco could be an only dog if his people work from home and he isn’t alone much. His potty training skills are good — but no guarantees. All in all…Bronco is a stallion! We love him and will only let him go to the perfect, experienced home — for him and for you!! Interested? He’s the best. Bronco will not be attending our adoption events; he can be seen by appointment only by approved applicants. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria.
