Story
When fate intervened in her difficult life, Juniper Fox was in very rough shape. But what stood out to rescuers was her open heart and gentle bearing. A brindle mix, possibly a little Pomeranian and a dash of bulldog, she quickly became a shelter favorite, much loved and doted upon as she began her healing. Now at Muttville, Juniper Fox is continuing her journey to good health, enjoying lots of affection, canine companionship and deep respect. Her friends back at the shelter had one request: Please don’t let be her a backyard dog. She deserves to be loved in a home and have comfort for the rest of her life. We agreed. Ready to show a sweet pup what it is to be cherished and possibly a little spoiled? She’s here for it. Here's some notes from her foster: Juniper Fox is so sweet and tender-hearted. She exclusively wants to go to the bathroom outside which is awesome and she sleeps through the night perfectly on her floor beds. It is wonderful to watch Juniper Fox respond so resiliently to human love and investment in her health.

Story
Looks like: Pekingese mix Female, 8 years old (estimated), 23 pounds Some treats are worth slowing down for... and Truffle is absolutely one of them! Like the decadent chocolate confection she's named after, Truffle is a little luxurious, a little unique, and absolutely unforgettable once you get to know her. This darling Pekingese mix isn't looking for chaos or crowds, she's searching for her perfect little chocolate-box life with someone who appreciates all the sweet little details that make her, her. Truffle enjoys peaceful walks (she's wonderful on leash!) and would much rather spend her day with her favorite person than navigate a bustling pack of dogs. While she can feel overwhelmed in busy canine social scenes, she shines as the star of the show or alongside another calm, easygoing dog who respects her space. One of Truffle's most charming quirks is that she's quite the conversationalist. Instead of wagging nonstop or bouncing off the walls, she communicates with the cutest little grumbles and happy rumbles that are almost like a cat purring. They're part of her language, a sweet way she tells you how she's feeling. Because of this, she's looking for a dog-savvy family who enjoys getting to know a dog's unique personality and body language rather than expecting every dog to communicate the same way. For the right person, Truffle isn't just another little fluffy dog, she's a once-in-a-lifetime companion. She's thoughtful, expressive, endlessly charming, and forms the kind of bond that only comes from truly understanding one another. If you've been searching for a companion who's more artisan chocolate than candy bar rich in personality, wonderfully one-of-a-kind, and guaranteed to make every day a little sweeter, Truffle is waiting to melt your heart. Miss Truffle joins is from the Animal Resource Center of the Inland Empire after she was found as a stray. Due to her senior status and their overcrowded shelter, they felt she would do best in a senior-focused rescue.

Story
Sidecar starts out as a pretty timid houseguest. With his foster he was unsure around her dog, but immediately gravitated towards her children. After about two and a half weeks, however, his playful side has fully emerged! He loves to chase balls and his foster dog sibling; he loves to wrestle; and he’s become very attached to her husband. He’s affectionate and will paw at you for attention in the cutest way! He loves his foster family and gets the biggest smile on his face whenever they are around. He really is a special little guy (with the world’s cutest underbite).    Sidecar is two years old, potty trained, has lived with a cat, and can coexist with a canine sibling - a mellow, confident canine brother or sister would be ideal, but he’s found his bossy foster brother to be a pretty fun playmate. He’d also be just fine as an only dog. He loves kids and has really bonded with his foster mom and dad. Really he just wants a family - whatever that may consist of - to love him and show him some patience as he adjusts to a new home. He’s still getting used to walks (he may not have gone on many of those in his former home) but his foster mom is working with him on that. On the plus side, his exercise needs don’t appear to be too high, so any potential adopters don’t need to worry about fitting daily hikes into their schedule!   Basically Sidecar is a sweet little guy who, with patience, can most likely adapt to any home. Apply to adopt Sidecar today! Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Sidecar is $300. If you are interested in adopting Sidecar, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you.
