Story
Meet Blanche! Sweet senior girl Blanche has beat the odds and defied death more than once in the month and a half since she joined our RMG family! After arriving into our care with severe chemical burns on all four feet and in kidney failure, doctors truly didn’t think she would survive. Then she stopped eating and her eyes became seriously infected causing one of them to rupture - her chances of surviving and going on to find her Happily Ever After seemed like a pipe dream. Thanks to lots and lots of TLC from her team of fosters and amazing medical care from our friends at Whitmire Animal Hospital , Blanche not only gained enough strength to survive surgery to have her ruptured eye removed but she is now thriving!! Truly nothing short of a miracle! Now that the whole ordeal is long behind her, Blanche is officially ready to find the perfect family to live out her Golden Years with! Blanche is estimated to be about 10 years old but it's really hard to guess age on a dog who has been through as much as she has. She's perfectly house trained and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She's a love bug of a lady who truly just wants a nice lap to snuggle in and maybe a warm spot in the sun to nap, with an occasional leisurely stroll thrown in to keep things interesting. Blanche may be an older girl but the will to live she showed during her whole ordeal tells us that this girl has LOTS of life left to live! Story
    I'm Faith Lee, a 13 year old Pekingese. I was rescued by AAU after my owner died and had no where to go but to the shelter. I was a bit of a hot mess when I came in-skin issues, ear infections, under weight, and some structural issues that make me walk a little funny. I'm working on everything in my current foster home and will be spayed when I have put on some weight.
