I'm a lovely lady, tipping the scales at a dainty 14 pounds. At 6 years old, I've got the perfect mix of maturity and zest for life. Happiness is my middle name, and I'm always ready to spread the love. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life, like a backyard adventure or a session with crinkly and squeaky toys – they're my absolute favorites! A tad stubborn, you say? Well, I like to think of it as having a strong sense of self. Also, sometimes I am not the biggest fan of commotion when we go someplace until I settle in.   Treats? Yes, please! While I'm still mastering the art of potty training, I'm making great strides with a consistent schedule. I can be a-okay in the crate, though sometimes I like to mix things up. A fenced yard? Yes, please! I love the freedom to explore and run around, but I'm hoping my forever family will work on leash training with me so we can go on adventures. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I’m Hyacinth!  I know I’m super super cute!   Well don’t worry because I also have a super personality too.  I greet each day with a smile and a tail wag.  My walk is absolutely adorable too.  I have a puppy type pounce when I’m feeling playful and you can see my sass in my regular walk which is a prance haha!  Yep I’d describe myself as happy, classy and just a little bit sassy.  When I meet someone new or if I see something unfamiliar to me I’ll do my cute bark like I’m saying hey there’s a stranger here.  It’s such a quiet bark that it just makes my foster mama giggle.  Don’t worry I stop pretty quickly when assured that everything is okay. I do great with other dogs, but I do ask them to give me a bit of space.  I’d also be just as happy to be an only dog and just be your spoiled princess.   I walk and potty on leash, but I can use a potty pad as a back up.  I’m totally kennel trained though and like to keep it clean and cozy.  I haven’t met any kids yet, but do think I’d prefer a bit calmer home so older kids would probably be better if you have them.  I can see myself stretched out in my new home with you smiling and loving me every day and living happily every after like the princess I know I am. Ok, I don’t need a lap.  I’ll snooze on a doggie bed or a blankie too, but that’s not as much fun haha!  I love everyone that I meet and greet everyone with the cutest smile and tail wag.  My foster dad is my favorite person in the world.  Right now I go to work with my foster mama.  When we get home though I immediately go looking for him.  He picks me up and I give him kisses and then I turn and flop back so he can rub my tummy and I’ll sleep like that belly up without a care in the world. I haven’t figured out what toys and chew bones are for yet.  I’ll take a chewie, but I just set it down and then walk away.  I do well with other dogs, but I do prefer that they are calm and not up in my face.  If they get too close and annoy me I’ll tell them no, but it’s just noise. There are dogs of all sizes in my current foster home and I’m used to them and I’m very tolerant so I’ll just a need a bit to know that the dogs in your home are nice too. I am kennel trained and doing great with my potty training, too!  I’ve only met one child so far.  I was scared of her at first.  A couple minutes later I walked right over though and was all tail wags again.  It may be because she ran up on me and was loud.  If you have kids I think older respectful ones would be best. While we're not sure what sort of breed mix she might be, we know she sure is cute! She has the best underbite and softest fur. She loves to snuggle and is usually curled up next to her foster mom or another pup in her foster home. Coco seems to be house trained when kept on a schedule. She is crate trained and spends her days in the crate while her foster family is at work. She does love to snuggle at night, though, so she hopes her new family will let that continue. Coco is not very vocal, but will bark when the other dogs in her foster home bark, and she will whine when she is crated while people are home. She loves to explore the back yard and go for short walks around the neighborhood. She knows to sit before meals, but is still working on not begging at the dinner table when her foster family is eating dinner. Coco is good with other small dogs, but may get overwhelmed by large dogs. She hasn't been around small children or cats while in foster care, but she seems very easygoing, so we imagine she would do well. Coco is in need of a foster home!  Her current foster is dealing with a family emergency! Coco is a very sweet little girl and loves people. Her favorite thing to do is go for a walk and play fetch with her toys. **Texas adoption only*** This is Joey, a senior dog with the heart and soul of a resilient soldier. For starters, Joey is a beautiful senior Lhasa Apso mix with a unique personality. He's a polite but guarded gentleman who looks like he's wearing a fancy gray suit! Joey is a very sensitive dog who'll need very sensitive, present, and patient people to take him on. For Joey's adoption process he will need several appointments and meetings to see if it is a good match. Joey enjoys long walks, perhaps one of his favorite activities, and will take you on a nicely paced walk through your neighborhood everyday if you get him on the leash! Joey is well trained knowing both how to behave and be comfortable in a crate and relieve himself outside. Joey also enjoys a good tug of war and was a mean puller during his old army days with the other boys in green. He's a child at heart and loves to play with toys! This fellow would prefer to be the only dog in the house but can be tolerant of other dogs. If other dogs are present Joey might feel a bit insecure and start marking. Please don't move too quickly towards Joey! He likes a very relaxed, low-energy environment and is not afraid to let you know when there's too much going on. Joey would prefer no children or at least older children that can respect him and not stick their hands in his face. In addition, Joey prefers people not be too grabby with him. Hello, I’m Nina, a precious and sweet albeit VERY shy female Chihuahua/Bichon Frise mix puppy. I am cautious around people in general and I don’t like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so I’m not sure if kids are a good fit for me! I admit that I follow mom everywhere but it’s not necessarily because I want her attention…I just want to know what she’s up to…unless she’s giving the other pups attention then…of course, I must be part of the action! Hee, hee!! I love playing with toys and eating treats and have even started taking treats from foster mom’s hand…YAY for me!! I am still working on potty training, I don’t have any experience with the leash, and I don’t like the kennel/crate. In fact, I will holler a LOT when I first go into the crate and randomly throughout the night so just for the record, you have been warned! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I have not met any cats or larger dogs, but I do well with smaller dogs like me and will need a companion and a fenced yard at my new home so we can safely explore and play! I am a super smart girl who already knows what “sit”, “stay”, “down”, “leave it”, & “go potty” all mean…all I need now is a fur-ever home with YOU! I simply ask that you love me unconditionally, NEVER give up on me, and that you will patiently allow me the time and space I need to become comfortable in my own way! All my love, Nina I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. Get your toy box ready! *Grooming - this dog's coat may have been neglected before arriving at Underdog and it can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as poodles and poodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment. Hi, my name is Corbin and I am a very shy and timid puppy that is ready to find my forever people with patience, toys and lots of love to help me be the best I can be! I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! I’m just an overall, very happy dog who loves the feel of the sun on my face when I’m sitting outside, other dogs and treats.  All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a family that will help me be the best I can be!
