Can you say absolutely gorgeous? Because if you can, you must be talking about Vega! This girl is stop you in your tracks pretty - and we're not going to lie - she definitely knows it. Vega was found on the streets of Chicago and after searching for an owner with no luck, her finders reached out to rescues looking for someone to help - and we couldn't say no to this adorable face. We soon found out that Vega had a surprise for us - this beauty was pregnant and soon gave birth to four adorable kittens. Now that her babies are all grown up, it's time for her to find her forever home. Vega would prefer a quieter home where her true personality can shine through. She absolutely wants to be your permanent lap warmer but finds a lot of hustle and bustle to be a little bit overwhelming at times. She lives in a foster home with other cats and dogs and while she tolerates the situation, she definitely seems to prefer when things are more relaxed and quiet. A laid back Saturday night on the couch with popcorn and a movie? Count Vega in, that is absolutely her vibe. The more comfortable this girl becomes, the more this sweetie becomes a total lap cat. She absolutely bonds with her people and we would definitely classify her as a lap cat with her people. Now, don't forget, Vega is a tortie- so she does have that tortitude side and will give you her opinion if she feels like she has to - but only if you're taking her spot on the couch - which is her favorite spot in the house. If you're looking for a girl that is beauty, brains and destined to be your best companion, Vega is definitely your girl. Ready to bask in this girl's glory? Story
Regina (Ginny) is a 1-year-old cat with a bold, energetic, and highly driven personality. She was adopted as a kitten and has grown into a confident, curious cat who loves to hunt, chase, and stay active. Ginny’s favorite things are prey-style toys, catching bugs, and anything that lets her use her natural instincts. She is extremely food-motivated and very vocal, and she does best with clear routines and structure. She would thrive with an experienced cat owner who understands high-energy, high-drive cats and can provide plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment. Ginny is not a laid-back or independent personality she is alert, determined, and always looking for something to do. We believe she would be happiest with someone who enjoys an interactive, spirited companion and can appreciate her unique temperament. Ginny is bold, energetic, instinct-driven, talkative, determined, and intelligent.

Story
You’ve heard of “a little spicy”? Well, Chile started off as a little more than a little spicy, but with time, this boys heat has been extinguished and now he's ready for his forever home. With his sleek, long black fur, adorable white chest patch, and smoldering stare, this barn-born boy knows he’s gorgeous—and acts accordingly. He’s not here to win your affection with soft meows and an immediate leap into your lap - Chile makes you work for his love - but it's oh so worth it when you win him over. Chile has a playful side - one that comes out most when he's with other kitty friends, so we do think he would like to have a feline friend, but we also think he could do ok on his own. He's a boy that's been through a lot, but if you give him time, this sweet boy will show you that he was well worth the wait. Apply to adopt today: sayvanimals.org/adopt (PLEASE NOTE: Despite what PetFinder, AdoptAPet and other aggregation software systems state - the first step is to submit an application via the link above, NOT send a message through their platforms. Story
Meet Peanut — fluffy, friendly, and frequently upside down. Peanut is a gorgeous long-haired orange tabby boy with a soft coat, a sweet face, and a personality that somehow manages to be both gentle and delightfully silly. He’s an older kitten who would love a home with a playful kitty of even a dog companion to keep him company and share adventures with. Peanut is easy to handle and very affectionate. He’ll happily hop onto the bed for cuddles and pets, and once he’s comfortable, he’s all about being close to his people. He also has a very special relationship with dogs — he loves them. In his foster home, he’s completely obsessed with one of the resident dogs. They groom each other, cuddle together, and generally act like best friends who refuse to be separated. If he's not snuggled up with his puppy friend, or his human friends, he's definitely with one of his kitty buddies. One thing is for sure - Peanut is a social boy that likes to be with others. Now for Peanut’s signature move: the barrel roll. If he’s on your lap, a couch, or any surface at all, chances are he’ll be rolling off it in slow motion, often ending up on his back in the funniest positions imaginable. He spends a lot of time upside down and is not particularly athletic, but what he is perfect at? Being adorable. His favorite toy is very specific: the tail of an opossum stuffie. He worked hard for that lone tail and he won't let you forget it. He knows it's a prize and he is determined to protect it forever and he takes that responsibility very seriously. Peanut can be a bit shy when scared and may hide to nap or decompress, but he’s easily coaxed out with a gentle voice and affection. He does best with companionship which is why we are requiring that he be adopted into a home that as a young feline friend for him - bonus points if you have pups too because we know he also loves dogs! If you’re looking for a fluffy orange boy who loves cuddles, cats and dogs alike, and rolling dramatically onto his back at every opportunity, Peanut is ready to tumble his way into your heart. Story
Acorn is a gorgeous 6-year-old medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's very skittish and needs a patient home that can take the time to earn her trust. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home. Acorn is not litter-box trained.

Story
Hello, this darling cat's name is Harley. She is sweet and gets scared easily, which is why we are trying to locate her in a better home. She suffers from feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1), which is triggered by stress, causing flare-ups that can lead to respiratory or eye issues, such as conjunctivitis, sneezing, and squinting. Management focuses on reducing stress with a calm environment. Hence, I am looking for a loving home for her. She is afraid of other cats and kids, so the new home needs to be extremely calm. I can guarantee that she will not hurt any human or other cats, but what she needs now is a new, quiet home. Thanks
