Persian kittens & cats in Frederick, Maryland

Meemo is a white blue eyed flat face Persian. She enjoys just hanging out with her person. Her coat is thick and needs daily combing and face cleaning like all flat face Persians. She is sweet, calm and chill. She was rescued in late February with many other exotic cats. Sadly this breeder and her sister of exotic cats( Persians, munchkins and minuets) down in Florida both became extremely ill with fatal diseases. One sister died and the other became disabled. The many animals they had were breeding among horrific conditions. I was notified by a person and drove 2 hours to check out what the situation was. Over the course of several days traveling there to bathe and flea treat all dogs and cats, the final tally we took in was 23 cats and dogs. They all were in terrible condition with internal and external parasites. They have been fed the highest quality food since that time. All cats have received PureVax cat vaccines, a rabies vaccine, dewormings, have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and tested for FIV/Feluc and heartworm( all were negative). He was transported up from Florida (by diesel) at the end of April. She is continuing to be fostered in Thurmont, Md. with the owner of the rescue who is a vet tech. Ferdinand (Ferdi) is a sweet, purebred cream-point Himalayan, about 10 lbs and nearly 9 years old. Due to an international move, his family made the hard decision to find him a new home. Ferdi has an incredibly loving and easygoing personality. He purrs constantly and loves everyone he meets- he will curl up in any lap he sees! Ferdi was also raised with a dog and another cat and was around many children for most of his life and has always gotten along very well with them.Like many flat-faced cats, Ferdi has chronic nasal congestion (sneezing and snot) and is also deaf.Ferdi deserves a loving, stable home where he gets love and cuddles.The move is on the 18th of July, so we are hoping to find him a home before then.

Robyn is a beautiful older kitten we are thrilled to have with us. She had a rough start in her little life but she is now safe and cared for. Robyn is a cream colored Persian. She is beautiful with her thick long fur and gorgeous face. Loves to be doted on. Gets along beautifully with her fellow foster friends. Robyn would love to go to a home with another cat. She is very social. We prefer that her new family have experience caring for Persians or long haired breeds due to the upkeep and grooming needs. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Atlas was found on the street with little boys terrorizing him. Thank God a kind lady grabbed him and took him away. She was too afraid Atlas would go back to that area so she grabbed him and took him to safety. Atlas is a long haired white boy with stunning big yellow eyes. We think he is part Persian and maybe has some Turkish van in him due to his very silky fur. He has blossomed in his foster home once he felt safe. Loves to be petted and doted on. Gets along famously with other cats. We would like to see him in a home with Persian or long haired cat experience. These cats need regular brushing and care. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. He will do great with kids and probably a dog. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Sunset is a very sweet 2 year girl. She has lived with other cats and would love a family to call her own.

Meet Spotty! This gorgeous and easygoing fluffball absolutely loves her people! She will seek you out and rub against you, purring loudly. If you let her, she’ll curl up and sleep on you, no matter where you are or what position you’re in. As a longhaired kitty, Spotty needs some grooming – not to worry! She loves to be brushed. In fact, she would be happy to groom you while you brush her. :-) Her favorite toys are crinkly toys and fishing pole toys as well as anything with catnip. This cuddler loves people of all ages (including kids as young as 5) and is comfortable around other cats. She also has experience with a dog – she is very tolerant but would prefer a home with no dogs or with a dog who tends to ignore kitties. Though she is currently an indoor/outdoor cat, Spotty loves to be inside; her family believes that she would be happy as an indoor-only cat. Spotty’s only “issue” is what appears to be chronic rhinitis. She often has a runny nose and sneezes. She appears to be comfortable, though occasional secondary bacterial infections may need to be treated. As a testament to her sweetness, Spotty's vet recently noted, during an exam, that they had difficulty evaluating her lungs due to her purring. :-) Spotty is 8 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. The chronic rhinitis is her only known health issue. She has perfect litter box habits. This sweetie is looking for a new home because her family is unable to take her with them when they move across country. We (FFOCAS) are helping Spotty’s family safely rehome her. Interested?
