Story
Manny is a stunning medium to long hair male cat rescued off the mean streets. He is safe now. Manny has the most fluffy ruff that surrounds his face. Could be some Maine coon in him. Part Persian. Not sure. Manny has never met a human or cat he does not like. He craves attention. Can be a bit needy at first. Boy, can he play. He needs a large space with a lot of activity. He was in a small apartment for a month and the family realized he has to be able to run around and explore. Extremely active. Manny needs stimulation so another active cat is paramount. He will do great with kids and probably a dog. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Story
Luke may only have three legs, but you’d never know it! This resilient boy doesn’t let anything slow him down. He loves racing around the house, chasing his favorite toys, and making the most of every day. Luke is incredibly affectionate and bonds with people right away. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, he’s your guy—you can count on him to curl up beside you at bedtime, purring the whole night through.  Luke appears to be hard of hearing, but once he feels your presence, he’s all about the love and attention. While he may take a little time to warm up to other cats, he becomes playful, cuddly, and a wonderful feline friend once he settles in. Whether you’re looking for a solo companion or a new addition to a home with other cats, Luke is ready to steal your heart. PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note, unless otherwise stated, these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2762847##

Story
Meemo is a white blue eyed flat face Persian. She enjoys just hanging out with her person. Her coat is thick and needs daily combing and face cleaning like all flat face Persians. She is sweet, calm and chill. She was rescued in late February with many other exotic cats. Sadly this breeder and her sister of exotic cats( Persians, munchkins and minuets) down in Florida both became extremely ill with fatal diseases. One sister died and the other became disabled. The many animals they had were breeding among horrific conditions. I was notified by a person and drove 2 hours to check out what the situation was. Over the course of several days traveling there to bathe and flea treat all dogs and cats, the final tally we took in was 23 cats and dogs. They all were in terrible condition with internal and external parasites. They have been fed the highest quality food since that time. All cats have received PureVax cat vaccines, a rabies vaccine, dewormings, have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and tested for FIV/Feluc and heartworm( all were negative). He was transported up from Florida (by diesel) at the end of April. She is continuing to be fostered in Thurmont, Md. with the owner of the rescue who is a vet tech. She lives with other dogs, cats and her daughter Mia who is also up for adoption. If interested in adoption, please text 845-671-0345 to request an adoption application. You can check out more on this rescued group on Facebook.

Story
Meet Ginger! Ginger is a handsome Oriental boy with a playful spirit and an affectionate heart. He and his brother, Spots, were adopted as kittens in Saudi Arabia, but when their owner was transferred, they were heartbreakingly left behind. Despite that difficult chapter, Ginger has remained a loving, happy cat who is ready to find a family that will cherish him forever. One of Ginger's favorite things is spending quiet mornings with his people. He'll happily sit beside you while you enjoy your coffee, soaking up your company just as much as he soaks up the warm sunshine streaming through the window. In fact, a sunny windowsill is one of his favorite places to nap. When it's time to play, Ginger's fun-loving personality takes over! He loves chasing laser pointers and gets so excited that he sometimes forgets to put on the brakes—don't be surprised if he runs right into a wall in his enthusiasm! His playful antics are guaranteed to keep you laughing. Ginger is also an excellent climber and would love a tall cat tree where he can stretch, climb, scratch, and survey his kingdom. It will keep him happy, active, and give him the perfect place to sharpen his nails. Affectionate, entertaining, and full of personality, Ginger would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love, playtime, and sunny spots for afternoon naps. He would be especially happy if he could stay with his brother, Spots, but most of all, he deserves a forever family that will never leave him behind again. If you're looking for a playful companion who will make you smile every day and keep you company through life's quiet moments, Ginger is ready to meet you. Adoption fee $200, includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Binx  Binx has completely stolen his foster mom's heart during the few months she has fostered him. She has considered "foster failing" more than once, but knows that his perfect forever family is out there waiting to meet him. Binx is the kind of cat people fall in love with immediately. He is incredibly affectionate and social, and he wants to be involved in everything you do. Whether he's perched on the bathroom sink watching you brush your teeth, greeting you at the window with a meow, or curling up beside you for a cuddle, Binx is happiest when he's with his people. His loyalty and devotion are unlike anything I've ever experienced in a cat. He does wonderfully with children, gets along great with dogs, and would likely thrive in a home with another playful cat companion. One of his favorite activities is playing with his foster mother's dog, and he loves toys almost as much as he loves attention. If you're looking for an "in-your-pocket" cat who wants to be your constant companion, Binx is your guy. Binx was originally surrendered to the shelter due to an autoimmune skin condition. The good news is that after a veterinary evaluation and a Depo injection, his skin has returned completely to normal. In the interest of full transparency, it is likely that he will need Depo shots on a monthly or every-other-month basis to keep his condition under control. Fortunately, these injections are generally affordable, and with a knowledgeable veterinarian, it should be easy to establish a routine that keeps him comfortable and thriving. Binx deserves a family who will see past a manageable medical condition and recognize the incredible cat he truly is. He has so much love to give, and whoever adopts him will gain a loyal best friend, a professional cuddle expert, and a constant source of entertainment. Could that family be yours? Adoption fee $200, includes: first 2 FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea preventatives, sterilized, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Fat Boy (2-year-old Longhair) and Bandit (4-year-old Longhair) are a stunning, bonded pair of "gentle giants" looking for a peaceful forever home. These two are the definition of low-maintenance: they are quiet, litter box trained, and perfectly content to spend their days napping together. Both boys have incredibly sweet temperaments and a calm, "old soul" energy. Whether you are looking for a work-from-home companion or a peaceful presence in the house, Fat Boy and Bandit offer double the love with half the fuss. They are ready to trade their rough start for a lifetime of soft beds and chin scratches.
