We are currently fostering this cat for a friend that got her from the Humane Society in Nov. 2026, then could not keep her. She is approx. 1 year and 3 mo. old, has all vaccines, and is spayed. Our dog (chihuahua) will not stop trying to attack her, so we need to find a good home for her. She does not attack him. All medical records provided. We will include the fully enclosed litterbox, litter, food, scratching post, backpack cat carrier, food and water bowls. She is friendly and wants to be with people. She does like to wrestle (maybe grew up with a dog?). We have had her for 4 weeks and she is continuing to show affection more and more. She does bite when she is wrestling or if she does not want to be petted then. She does not bite to hurt, but it is part of her play. We are working on the word NO and she is learning. She prefers women, and we would recommend no small children. She is very sweet and will vocalize when she sees you and is very inquisitive.

Upon arrival, I needed some medical attention, but thanks to our dedicated team, I am now healthy, active, and ready for my forever home. What I need: A home without children under 5 years old. A kitten companion or a friendly, active resident cat to help him learn good feline manners. I`m Oreo, a longhaired male tuxedo kitten. I was found all alone in a rural area—no mom, no siblings—until a kind young woman rescued me and brought me to Animal Ark. There, I was safe indoors and received care from the medical staff. At just four weeks old, I needed extra TLC, so I went to a foster home to grow strong and healthy. Now that I’m big enough to find a forever family, I’m back at the shelter! Staff and volunteers say I’m a little Energizer Bunny—full of pep, playful, and always ready for fun. Because of my age and energy, I can’t go to a home with children under five. I’ll also need a kitten buddy or a friendly resident cat to keep me company. If you’re ready for a tiny bundle of purrs, mischief, and endless kitten hijinks, come meet me at the shelter—I’d love to introduce myself!

*** Currently in a foster home. Meet & Greet will be arranged with an approved adoption application. ***I was about one week old when I was found orphaned, alone and in need of help. Thankfully, a compassionate young woman contacted Animal Ark, and they quickly stepped in to bring me to safety. From there, I was whisked away to a loving foster home where I was bottle-fed and cared for until I was old enough to start eating on my own. They named me Smooch, and I`m a longhaired brown tabby female kitten. Because I’m still growing and learning, Animal Ark has a few requirements to make sure I thrive in my forever home: I can’t be placed in a home with children under five years old. I must be adopted with a kitten buddy or go to a home that already has a friendly, playful resident cat. Having a feline friend helps me develop good social skills and makes growing up way more fun! If you think we’d make a great match, please submit an adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. I can’t wait to charm you in person!
