Story
*** I'm currently in a foster home. A meeting can be arranged with an approved application."Do you have a comfy cat perch I can sleep on? If so, I'm good to go! Maddy is my name and I was found abandoned, along with my 6 kittens. Talk about a handful!! I was taken in by a nice couple who also provided a safe foster home for all of us. I'm a 1 year old Tortie who is playful but a bit on the shy side. I use my scratching post and have never lived with dogs or children. I'm hoping to find a home that will enjoy the company of a lovely lady like myself.

Story
No one really knows my back story, and I'm not able to share the details, but staff who have met me agree that I am a sweet, mellow guy who is glad to be indoors and getting the food, care, and attention that I need. I turned up in a neighborhood and it seemed that I had been trying to make it on my own for awhile. Frostbite resulted in a slight alteration in the appearance of my ears--but once you meet me, my personality will win you over quickly!

Story
My mom, siblings and I found ourselves sort of living on the streets. Our mom brought us to a kind neighbor who had been putting out food, and we all went into a foster home. Although we are all still a bit skittish and nervous around people, we are learning to trust and coming to realize that people are okay. We're going to need plenty of socialization still, and we should either be adopted with a sibling or another kitten or cat to help develop good skills with people. BTW, I'm O'Malley, the only little colleen in my litter. I'm long-haired, tabby and white..

Story
Hi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm a sweet young guy who was living in a neighborhood on my own. I must have been someone's pet at some point, because I am affectionate and friendly. Long story short, I wound up at Animal Ark to get medical care, food, and lots of attention from staff and volunteers. I've settled right in, and honestly the indoor life is really great! My fur is black and white and a bit longer than most cats, so I guess that makes me a domestic long hair. I'll keep you entertained for hours if you think I would be a good addition to your family.

Story
I've been living in a business for the past several years, so being at Animal Ark is a brand new experience for me! I'm a sweet and friendly, 6 year old brown tabby female named Fluffy, probably because I have lovely, long hair. The person who surrendered me is selling his business and moving out of state so the folks at the Shelter found a spot for me. He said I'm a quiet and easygoing feline who is afraid of dogs and children. A calm environment, without other animals or kids, would probably be my best fit. I would be a good candidate for foster or foster to adopt.

Story
Hello--I'm Trixie, a 1 1/2 year-old long-haired tabby and white female who found myself homeless when my family moved and didn't take me along. A kindly neighbor realized my predicament and contacted the shelter. During the short time they knew me, I made myself right at home and was described as cuddly, playful and affectionate, especially with their daughter. Much of my background is unknown, so staff are not sure about my attitude toward other cats and dogs. Please come meet me if you think I might be the "purr-fect" addition to your family.

Story
Sky's approximate date of birth is August 29, 2023. She is spayed and vaccinated. She tested negative for FIV/Felv and she has a registered microchip. Her adoption fee is $350.00 + tax. Sky: Welcome to The Purrfect Match! Where we bring cats and humans together, forever! I am your host and today we will be meeting the Beautiful Sky. 1. What are you most looking for in an adopter? I am looking for someone who is patient, kind and understanding. Someone who will love me unconditionally for who I am. I was born outdoors and though I have come very far, I am still learning how to trust and live the indoor life. 2. What do you think is important for a healthy human cat relationship? I think trust is very important both ways. I need to trust that a human will forever provide safety, love, toys, comfort, and a trip to the doctor if I ever don't feel good. My human can trust me to be kind and comforting when they need it too. It just might take me a little longer than a 'normal' kitty. 3. What is the best gift you've ever received? I would say my foster mama bringing me indoors from the scary outdoors. Also my kitty cave bed, I love napping in it because it makes me feel safe. 4. Are you more of an introvert or extrovert? At the moment I am 75% extroverted. I am working really hard on being confident! Sometimes I still just need my alone time. When I am out and about I enjoy pets and scratches, laying on a lap, and being picked up and snuggled. When I am in my cave bed I am recharging my social battery and want to be left alone. Ember is inspiring me though and I am getting better! 5. Do you have any pet peeves? When I am in my cave bed and my foster mama tries to pet or pick me up. I get upset and hiss. Only because I want left alone and am a little scared. I have never hurt anyone. 6. How do you prefer to relax in your free time? I enjoy taking naps with Ember, laying on a window shelf, basking in the sunshine and grooming myself. Also recharging in my cave bed. 7. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Both. I can be awake and alert with my human in the morning in no time, but sometimes I also enjoy playing with Ember or chasing a ball at midnight. I don't do it for long though because I know everyone is sleeping. 8. Is there anything you are scared of? The outdoors and unpredictable things like loud noises and movements. A human coming at me quickly also scares me because I don't know what they are doing to do. Humans weren't nice to me when I was little and lived outdoors but my foster mama says I am doing so good at overcoming that experience! 9. If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you? Unlimited canned food for sure, a girl has to eat! My sister Ember and my cave bed. 10. Would you relocate for the perfect adopter? Absolutely! My foster mama lives in the middle of nowhere and she said she is willing to give me a ride anywhere for the perfect human. 11. What is your most favorite food? Any canned food really, but I especially like chicken and tuna. Treats too of course! 12. How much alone time do you typically need? I would say about 25% of my time right now is alone time, but I am getting better at being confident and wanting to be around humans! I have always been on the independent side and don't ask for much or make a fuss. My foster mama calls me a 'typical tuxedo'. 13. Have you ever lived with another cat or a dog? Yes. I was born outside and lived with a handful of other big cats and also my family. I like living with other cats, especially my sister Ember. My foster mama introduced me to a dog and he was big but nice, and I think I could live with a dog as long as they are nice. 14. Who is your best friend and why are they your best friend? My best friend is my sister Ember. She is my best friend because she plays with me, comforts me and snuggles with me. She inspires me to come out of my shell and be confident. We have always been there for each other and I would be lost without her. 15. What is a non-negotiable that you need in an adopter? I need my human to be my forever human. I never want to live outside ever again and I have heard how scary shelters are, I never want to go there. I also need my human to understand that I may be a little scared when I move in at first, but I promise as soon as we establish trust I will be myself and will work hard on being their friend and confidant. 16. Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself? I am a good girl. I always use the bathroom box, keep my fur clean and pretty, and don't scratch furniture and only use my scratchers. I won't ask for much and even though I may be scared at first, I will try my best to become the real me. I love love the indoor life and it's where I belong. I am hoping to find a couple to adopt me and Ember together. I think I will be able to have more confidence and comfort with her in my life forever. Perhaps a couple where one human wants a needy snuggly kitty and the other wants an independent aloof one? I know my perfect adopters are out there and I can't wait to meet them! *If you would be interested in meeting a Saving Tails Animal Rescue pet or being considered for an adoption, please complete an adoption application at savingtails.org. Story
Tabitha is an interesting looking lady who's age is a total guess to us. She looks like she's older, but she doesn't act like a senior. So we don't really know what to think! Tabitha can be more on the independent side. But she still loves her humans and is an excellent alarm clock to remind you when dinner is. She LOVES wet food. If you open a cat of food, you can bet Tabitha will be running to the bowl as soon as she hears the lid crack! She loves getting her fur brushed, climbing her cat tree, chasing jingle balls across the floor, and investigating all areas of the house to see if anything new is happening. She has lived with dogs, cats, and kids in the past and did great with everyone! While in rescue, Tabitha received a dental check to make sure that her teeth are healthy, The vets also noted that she had a lump on her throat next to her trachea. Bloodwork was run and we had a cytology done on the lump which showed inflammation. So nothing crazy! But her future family should continue to monitor the lump to ensure it doesn't grow or change. Tabitha is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on vaccinations for their age.
