Persian kittens & cats in Owatonna, Minnesota

Cats have a reputation, don’t we, of being royal “snobs.” As Rod McKuen said, `Cats have it all – admiration, an endless sleep, and company only when they want it.` I’m Duchess, a white and grey Persian mix, but I have not been feeling regal at all since my person passed away. My best friend Brody and I have been sad, but now we are at the shelter to find a new home together. I am a little shy, but I am very sweet, and I love being petted. I miss the companionship that I had with my person. I like to play, but I am not overly active. My lovely coat became matted from lack of care and needs grooming. I will look and feel better having someone caring for me. Brody and I are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. I’m a lovely lady who’s not looking for a palace. I simply long for a loving home where I will be cherished as your delightful Duchess.Adoption fee $150 (for the pair) + microchip fee $30 + tax

Meet Kitty — a sweet, gentle cat who loves getting pets and curling up in your lap.Kitty is a lovable feline with a heart full of warmth and a personality that grows on you. At first, she may seem shy, especially when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she opens up into a loving, affectionate companion. She’s happiest when she’s in your lap, snuggling close and purring contentedly, or when she’s curled up in a cozy spot to recharge. While she enjoys the companionship of humans and will follow them from room to room, Kitty is also a cat who values her independence. She’s happy to entertain herself with toys when the mood strikes, but she’s equally at home resting quietly in a sunny window or napping in a soft blanket. This balance of affection and self-reliance makes her a great fit for a calm, patient home.Kitty’s ideal environment is one where she can be both a lap cat and a free-spirited explorer. She would thrive in a home with a gentle, understanding person who can give her space when she needs it, and who is ready to share in her moments of play and cuddles. She’s adaptable, friendly, and ready to form a special bond with her new family. We do think she would do best in a home as an only pet and with no young children - she's not comfortable with other pets in her space. If you’re looking for a cat who will bring comfort, companionship, and a little extra purr-fect charm into your life, Kitty is the one for you. She is also a good traveler!Contact 507-451-4512 or steelecountyhumanesociety@gmail.com to set up a meet-n-greet. My adoption fee is $150.
