Story
Meet your highness Saesar, as my namesake, I love to be pampered.
My pampering consists of sunbathing on my soft perch by the window. When I am being brushed, I have to chew on the brush to make sure its high enough quality - I like the heavy wire style.
When being brushed, I will roll over so all of me can get some care. I also like being wiped down with a warm wash cloth after being brushed!
When I play, I like to play with brightly colored paper balls, squeaky mouse and can't forget my catnip. I love making biscuits on soft blankets!
I love wet food (Iams, Sheba) and treats like Temptations, Greenings and Churus.
Loud unfamiliar sounds scare me - sliding chairs, shuffling feed, brooms and vacuums. I also don't love my hindlegs to be brushed, or my chin to be scratched.
I dislike being told "no" although, I do understand what that means.
I will be your lap cat and will chat with you when comfortable.
If you are looking for a fluffy guy that is friendly, lovable, adorable and loves meeting newcomers, give me a chance and I will steal your heart (and your chair too!)
Saesar lived with other cats in his previous home, and through multiple attempts, did not have successful introductions. Saesar would likely do best as the only animal in the home.
This feline participated in our Whiskers of Hope program.
Whiskers of Hope: Fostering Cats in Correctional Facilities, in partnership with Oak Park Heights Correctional Facility is designed to give cats a calm, consistent environment to decompress and receive one-on-one care and provide incarcerated individuals with emotional support, a sense of purpose, and the opportunity to give back by fostering animals in need.
Each participating individual lives in the mental health unit and has earned the opportunity to be part of this program through positive behavior, leadership, and responsibility. Cats live with their assigned caregiver in a private room, with access to shared enrichment spaces and regular oversight from both facility staff and our team.
Each cat receives daily enrichment, love, and individualized care. In turn, the program offers therapeutic benefits to the people involved and helps prepare each cat for a successful adoption.
Saesar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
