Story
Meet Mr. Big the Persian! Mr. Big is a 2 year old owner surrender who came to me very shut down. Depressed, not eating or drinking, and unsure of the world around him. With time, consistency, and kindness, he has slowly started to come out of his shell. These days, Mr. Big will leave his room to spend quiet time with the family and is showing us just how gentle he truly is. His absolute favorite thing is being brushed, It’s clearly his comfort zone and the best way to build trust and connection with him.Mr. Big is still hesitant with people and will need an adopter who understands that love comes on his timeline. He is unfazed by other cats, kittens, and dogs, uses the litter box perfectly, and did wonderfully at the groomer (even if he doesn’t look much different, just a little less fluffy ).Mr. Big is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to heal and learn that humans can be safe and kind. If you have a soft heart and the patience to let a shy soul bloom, Mr. Big just might be your guy. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Story
Hi there, my name is Dada. I’m a four-year-old, snow-white, male Persian cat with a princely personality and striking good looks to match. I am deaf and front-declawed. Though I can not hear, I experience the world in vivid detail and live each day with vibrant spirit. Like the absurd, nonsensical art movement I was named after, I bring a touch of whimsy to everyday life.     I am full of sweetness with a side of cheeky charm. I show my affection in roguish ways. I’ll hop on your lap during bathroom breaks and supervise your toothbrushing routine. I’ll rearrange your personal affects and like magic, make your socks disappear. I’ll lick your toes until I can’t resist and must get a little nibble.     I’m a jester in fur, and my curiosity knows no bounds. Once the game begins, I’ll chase, pounce, and hunt with all my might. A flick of a wand toy unleashes my inner acrobat, and spiral toys send me into joyful twirls and leaps. When the zoomies hit, I run like the wind—sometimes so fast that I crash into walls, only to bounce back undeterred. I’m a high-jumper who lands with theatrical thuds, and vacuums? I fear them not.   I’ll trot at your heels until the call of my own fanciful world lures me away. When that happens, you might find me at the window, contemplating the flora, fauna, and neighbor. Or perhaps, I’ll be at the mirror, marveling at my reflection. After all, if you were this beautiful, you’d call yourself a masterpiece too!     I have an independent streak, and I’m just as stubborn as I am sweet. I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer—partly because I can’t hear you, but mostly because I’m that determined. Luckily, I’m so convincingly cute that you won’t mind giving in! Call me a musician, because I’ll happily play you like a fiddle!   When the day winds down, you’ll find me lounging by your side, mesmerized by bird videos on YouTube. I’m a perfect mix of mischief and merriment, keeping every day lively and fun.     *I have litter box quirks and avoidance issues. I am on a prescription urinary diet to support my needs. With a calm and predictable routine, I’ve made great progress. I am looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help me be my best. With the right environment and plenty of loving care, I’ll continue to thrive—and keep life delightfully interesting!November 4, 2025, 2:36 pm

Story
Meet Christmas - Christmas is a truly special, 5 yr old, declawed Persian beauty. She had some matting in her coat, so she had a very cute lion. Her fur has since grown back beautifully and is now incredibly soft, thanks to daily brushing and gentle care. Christmas is exceptionally sweet and affectionate. She loves being close to her people and happily sleeps in bed with us at night. She enjoys calm companionship, gentle affection, and a predictable routine. Her eyes are cleaned daily, and she takes all of this loving care in stride—she truly thrives on attention and bonding time. Christmas does not get along with other animals and feels safest as the only pet in the home. In a quiet, pet-free environment, she blossoms into a loving, devoted companion. She does have a slight heart murmur, which can be common in Persians, but it does not take away from how wonderful and loving she is. Christmas is strictly an indoor cat and deserves a safe, calm home with someone who understands her needs and will cherish her for the rest of her life. Christmas has so much love to give and is looking for a gentle, attentive owner who will make her feel secure and adored. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with warmth every day of the year, Christmas is ready to be your forever girl. For inquiries on adopting, please email DallasCatLadyInfo@gmail.com. You must be over 25 to adopt with proof of ID. Adoption Fee is $300 and helps cover care and vetting done. We only adopt in the Dallas Metroplex, if you're not in this area, please check your local shelters and pet stores for the local rescues they work with. ##2644941##

Story
Champagne hasn’t had the easiest start in life. When she arrived in our care from a neglectful situation in August 2025, she was severely matted, dangerously underweight, and so weak we weren’t sure she would survive. At only 4.1 pounds, she was truly skin and bones. Thanks to months of intensive veterinary care, including frequent bloodwork, multiple rounds of B12 injections, and endless TLC in her foster home, Champagne has made an incredible comeback. Now weighing a petite but steady 5.3 pounds, she’s a completely different cat. The frail, lethargic kitty we first met has blossomed into a playful, energetic, and delightfully opinionated little lady. Personality & Daily Life Champagne is what we like to call a “proximity cat.” She wants to be near her people and will happily curl up near you on the couch (bonus points if there’s a soft blanket), but she’s not a traditional lap cat or “cuddle bug”. She has strong preferences and isn’t shy about expressing them. Affection, Her Way: Champagne enjoys attention on her own terms. Belly rubs are a firm no, and if boundaries are crossed, she will make her feelings known. Trust Takes Time: Because of her history, she is wary of being handled. Wiping her eyes, brushing her coat, or cleaning her ears requires a patient, confident hand. Once she trusts you, she "tolerates" these things, but you have to earn that privilege. Playtime Queen: Laser pointers and spring toys are her absolute favorites. You’ll often find her perched at the highest level of the cat tower, where she can keep an eye on the world. Her Ideal Home Champagne currently lives with an adult, and two kitty foster brothers (ages 3 and 6). She needs a home with at least one other feline friend. She loves to play tag, chasing her brothers and being chased back is the highlight of her day. We’re searching for a very specific match to ensure Champagne continues to thrive: Adults-only home: She does best in a calm, predictable environment without young children. Experienced adopters: Prior Persian experience is strongly preferred. Her grooming needs and nuanced personality require someone who understands and appreciates the breed. A Note on Adoption Champagne has fought hard for her second chance. We have invested months of love and medical care into saving her life, and we are fiercely protective of her future. Applications will be thoughtfully and carefully reviewed. We aren’t looking for just any home—we’re looking for the right one: a home that honors her boundaries, understands her needs, and cherishes her resilient, spicy spirit. ##2459953##

Story
We adopted Lollie in 2018 from HSNT and we were told she was about 1 year old. She was extremely shy and scared of people but eventually learned to trust us. She greets us at the door after work, begs for a treat at dinner time, and is extremely food motivated. She likes to be pet (within reason!) and will occasionally sit by us on the couch or beside us on our chair but doesn't like to be picked up or held. We got a puppy in June 2025 and soon learned Lollie is too laid back for dogs. Our puppy constantly chases and barks at her and she can no longer hang out in the main room with us. They are always flighting if she is in the same room. She deserves a home where she can relax and seek attention when she needs it without being chased away. She is declawed and doesn’t require much attention, so she is perfect for an older couple/ person who wants companionship but doesn’t want a cat always in their lap. We feed her Science Hill I/D food mainly because of hairballs.

Story
“Mama Lee-Lee,” was named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She carries the torch for her namesake, USA foil fencing Olympic champion, Lee Kiefer. Kiefer, a University of Kentucky med student, is lightning quick in her sport where she won gold with determined, pointed accuracy. Mama Lee-Lee had her kittens outside where she had to revert to her instincts to keep them safe and alive. She was trapped and brought inside where her med student saviors began to socialize the fluffy felines. Mama was never aggressive, but she was lightning quick to remind the humans that she set boundaries with her claws, which, unlike her namesake’s fencing foil, were very sharp. As her babies weaned and learned to love and trust humans, mama did, too. She loves to play with the jingle toy on a stick and to have her silky fur petted. She will make biscuits when spoken to sweetly and has made ‘winky eyes’ to her caregivers from her first days with them. She really LOVES her offspring and they love her. She is bonded to last remaining kitten Suni Extraordinaire and they must be adopted together. Lee-Lee has a distrust of dogs from her time outside. Born 3/1/2024 estimated by vet Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for her three kittens in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had just graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for. If you are interested in meeting us, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Meet Bear 🐾 Bear is a gentle, quiet soul who has been steadily blossoming into a loving house cat. Around 2 years old, he has spent the past few months adjusting to the comforts of indoor life — and he’s truly coming into his own. While Bear is still shy and prefers the calm presence of his foster mom, he’s made amazing progress. Each day, he grows a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more trusting. He’s learning that people can be kind, safe, and even the source of delicious treats. Playtime is one of Bear’s favorite parts of the day — wand toys and chase games bring out his silly, kittenish side. He’s also a total snack enthusiast, and mealtime is his love language. With a little patience (and a few treats), you’ll find yourself winning him over bit by bit. One of the most special things about Bear? He loves other cats. He thrives in the company of feline friends, whether they’re affectionate or more reserved — he’s the kind of cat who just wants to belong. Bear would do best in a home that: Has at least one other cat (friendly or aloof — Bear doesn’t mind) Is quiet and adult-only or has calm older teens Understands that trust takes time, and love is earned slowly but deeply If you’re someone who finds joy in watching a shy cat find his confidence, and you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with a heart full of potential, Bear may be the perfect addition to your home.
