Story
Adult Gray female Persian catHilda is a shy adult cat who will need a quiet home to decompress and time to adjust to her new home. She just needs some patience and understanding that her world has changed. Once she gets to know you she will be much more comfortable and able to show you her amazing purrsonality!  Nonnegotiables: No small children. No dogs. Must have prior experience with Persians    She might be ok with another older/mellow cat if given time and space to get acquainted.  Persians have specific grooming needs and we highly recommend researching before considering adopting one. We would also recommend looking for a groomer who has feline experience, particularly Persians.  Her previous mommy said she had litter box issues due to stress, since she arrived to our rescue she’s been eating Purina sensitive cat food and we are pleased to say she’s had no issues! We ask all adopters have a plan in the event you can no longer care for this cat.   Hilda is being fostered in Colleyville, Texas.  We are not considering out of state adoptions.  August 30, 2026, 2:28 pm

Story
Hi there, my name is Dada. I’m a snow-white, male Persian cat with a princely personality and striking good looks to match. I am deaf and front-declawed. Though I cannot hear, I experience the world in vivid detail and live each day with vibrant spirit. Like the absurd, nonsensical art movement I was named after, I bring a touch of whimsy to everyday life. I am full of sweetness with a side of cheeky charm. I show my affection in roguish ways. I’ll hop on your lap during bathroom breaks and supervise your toothbrushing routine. I’ll rearrange your personal affects and like magic, make your socks disappear. I’ll lick your toes until I can’t resist and must get a little nibble. I’m a jester in fur, and my curiosity knows no bounds. Once the game begins, I’ll chase, pounce, and hunt with all my might. A flick of a wand toy unleashes my inner acrobat, and spiral toys send me into joyful twirls and leaps. When the zoomies hit, I run like the wind—sometimes so fast that I crash into walls, only to bounce back undeterred. I’m a high-jumper who lands with theatrical thuds, and vacuums? I fear them not. I’ll trot at your heels until the call of my own fanciful world lures me away. When that happens, you might find me at the window, contemplating the flora, fauna, and neighbor. Or perhaps, I’ll be at the mirror, marveling at my reflection. After all, if you were this beautiful, you’d call yourself a masterpiece too! I have an independent streak, and I’m just as stubborn as I am sweet. I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer—partly because I can’t hear you, but mostly because I’m that determined. Luckily, I’m so convincingly cute that you won’t mind giving in! Call me a musician, because I’ll happily play you like a fiddle! When the day winds down, you’ll find me lounging by your side, mesmerized by bird videos on YouTube. I’m a perfect mix of mischief and merriment, keeping every day lively and fun. ***I have litter box quirks and avoidance issues. I am on a prescription urinary diet to support my needs. With a calm and predictable routine, I’ve made great progress. I am looking for a patient and understanding adopter to help me be my best. With the right environment and plenty of loving care, I’ll continue to thrive—and keep life delightfully interesting!

Story
🐾 Meet Dawn, a Sweet Retired Momma Looking for Her Forever Home 🐾Dawn is a loving retired momma cat who is ready to be spoiled. I recently adopted her and her sister, and they are two of the sweetest, most affectionate cats I’ve ever met. Dawn is playful, cuddly, and loves attention. This is a difficult decision, but I’m a full-time nursing student and work full-time nights, and I’ve realized I don’t have the time and attention that I believe two cats deserve. I want Dawn to have a home where she can get plenty of love, playtime, and cuddles. She is spayed, and the rehoming fee is only to help recover part of that cost. Finding the right home matters most.If you want a sweet, playful kitty who will truly bond with you, Dawn may be perfect. ❤️🐱 Please message me if you’re seriously interested.

Story
Meet Arash! Arash is a handsome Persian born in February 2025! He is a very sweet boy who loves to be pet and scratched. His foster family is greeted with purrs every time they come near him and have affectionately nicknamed him “Muffin” because he’s a love muffin.Arash has been slowly introduced to the foster family’s cats and dogs and is very timid around them. He would do best as an only but may do ok with other calm animals. Arash is fully vetted, a great eater, and has ever better litter box manners. He is FIV+ but that just means he has a more compromised immune system and he’ll need to be kept indoors. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption. Story
Meet Momo! A captivating seven-year-old Domestic Long Hair currently in Dallas, TX, whose big personality, expressive spirit, and luxurious tuxedo coat make this 12-pound girl impossible to overlook. Momo is a wonderfully complex cat who forms deep, meaningful connections once she feels safe. With someone she trusts, she can be incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and loving. She enjoys being near the action on her own terms, lounging comfortably, gazing out the window, and chasing spring toys when playtime calls. Her independent streak is part of her charm, and she has strong opinions about when she wants company, space, or affection. Momo needs an experienced, patient cat parent who understands feline boundaries and is comfortable allowing trust to develop gradually. She can be territorial and unpredictable with unfamiliar people and has a history of biting, scratching, and lunging, sometimes without an identifiable trigger. Because of these behaviors, Momo needs a calm, child-free home with one adult or a couple who can thoughtfully manage interactions and appreciate her exactly as she is. Introductions should be approached slowly, much like helping an undersocialized cat become comfortable in a new environment. Although Momo appreciates having space, confinement tends to increase her stress. She would do well with access to a quiet, stable home where she can explore, observe, and decide when she is ready to participate. Momo currently lives with a dog and tolerates him, but she does not seek out a close or playful relationship. A thoughtful, gradual introduction would be important if her new family includes a dog, along with space for Momo to maintain her boundaries. She has also been around cats in the past, but it has been quite some time, so her current compatibility with cats is unknown and introductions should be approached slowly and carefully. Momo previously experienced renal failure after exposure to lily pollen and recovered. She currently has no reported ongoing health conditions, is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. As with any cat, keeping lilies completely out of her environment is important! Momo is not a beginner cat, but for an experienced caregiver who respects her signals, gives her room to decompress, and values the affection she offers once trust is earned, she could become a fascinating and deeply cherished companion. Her new chapter needs patience, stability, realistic expectations, and plenty of good window-watching spots. Could you be the calm, cat-savvy person ready to let Momo set the pace and discover the loving connection waiting beneath that magnificent tuxedo coat? Story
Meet Kiki! An affectionate four to six-year-old Domestic Long Hair currently in Rockwall, TX, whose sweet spirit shines through his tan tabby coat, white accents, and an adorable heart-shaped marking on his nose. At about 13 pounds, this medium-sized boy is a wonderfully social companion who has plenty of personality, affection, and conversation to share with his new family! Kiki is the kind of cat who makes his presence known in the most charming ways. He is very vocal and loves chatting with his people, so anyone who has ever wished their cat would answer back may have met their match! He is also impressively smart and comes when called, making his enthusiastic appearances part of his charm. Playtime is another favorite part of Kiki’s day! Stringy toys are especially exciting, but he is happy to play with all kinds of cat toys. Once the fun winds down, his affectionate side takes center stage. Kiki enjoys being picked up, is friendly with family and strangers, and has experience around young children. He is also good with other cats, although he may be timid when first meeting a feline friend before becoming comfortable and playful. His compatibility with dogs has not been assessed. One of Kiki’s cutest quirks appears when he is completely relaxed: sometimes he sleeps with his little tongue sticking out! Between that unforgettable expression, his heart-shaped nose, and his talkative personality, he has a talent for making ordinary moments memorable. Kiki is neutered and has no known health issues. Because he is accustomed to spending time both indoors and outdoors, he needs a patient family who can help him adjust to becoming a fully indoor cat. A relaxed, caring environment, plenty of time to settle in, enrichment, play, and gentle encouragement will help him embrace this new routine. Kiki is ready for a next chapter filled with cozy naps, lively conversations, playful swats at string toys, and plenty of affection. Could this lovable, chatty boy with the heart-shaped nose be the companion you have been waiting to welcome home? To learn more about adopting Kiki, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com!
