Story
Meet our beautiful 6-year-old Persian girl. She lived her whole life with a family that decided to rehome her due to young children in their home. So due to no fault of her own, this poor girl was rehomed. She is incredibly affectionate, highly intelligent, and forms deep bonds with her person. She enjoys companionship but is also perfectly content relaxing on her own when you're away. She is looking for a quiet, predictable home where she can be cherished for the rest of her life. **Please read these requirements carefully before applying.** She **must be the only pet** in the home. She **cannot live with children** and will **not** be placed in a home where children are present or where children are planned in the future. She will **not** be adopted to: * Homes with other cats or dogs * Families with young children * Busy households * Anyone whose work requires frequent travel or long absences * Anyone whose lifestyle is likely to change significantly in the near future An ideal home would be with someone who is retired, works from home, or simply has a stable, quiet lifestyle and is looking for a devoted companion. She has already experienced one failed home, and I refuse to let her go through that again. Because of that, I will be extremely selective. This is not about finding *an* adopter—it's about finding **the right** adopter. **Please do not apply if you do not meet these criteria.** It saves everyone's time and, most importantly, protects her from another unnecessary transition. Adoption fees: $550 If you truly believe you can offer her the calm, stable, lifelong home she deserves, I'd love to hear from you. Story
Princess has a name that suits her purrfectly. She is pretty and knows it. She is very friendly and sweet. She loves affection and loves her food! She plays a little but is really very much a pillow princess who prefers to lounge and be pampered. She is a purebred Persian who was surrendered by her owner. She adjusted quickly to her foster home. She has not wanted to be around other kitties. She would be most happy in a quiet home as the one and only true princess. She might do OK with older children who can respect her need for calm, but younger children would be too much for her. Persians require daily grooming and due to their "smushed" face, are not able to groom themselves as easy as other cats. She needs a home with someone committed to her grooming needs. Her previous owner shaved her. Her hair has grown back and she is beautiful. She is OK with being brushed, but gently. She has an eye ulcer. The vet says this can happen with Persians as their eyes can dry out more. Eye drops are recommended to keep her eyes from drying. She is easy about these drops and pretty chill all around. Adoption fee is $330 as she is a purebred.

Story
Pepper She is a sweet and spicy girl. A former breeding cat that was surrounded. She is now spayed and ready for a cushy and comfortable life with an experienced Persian cat owner. She would prefer a quiet home without kids and other pets, as she can be a bit protective of her food. She likes ribbon toys and will let you pick her up. She does not like excessive petting and prefers to snuggle near you or be carried around. She is extremely long-haired (persian/ Himalayan mix) and does require regular trips to the groomer for trims so that her hair does not become matted. She loves to talk to you and follow you around. She will be shy at first and require a few weeks to adjust to her new setting.

Story
Meet Augustus, a fluffy black gentleman with the smallest, fluffiest little face and a heart that is somehow even bigger than his magnificent coat. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat * Adoption fee (1.5+ years) is $315 * Augustus is on a prescription diet. * Our rescue is located in Houston, TX, and we transport our babies to wonderful adopters in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and stops along the way. Transport cost is included in the adoption fee. --- Augustus is a fluffy black gentleman with the smallest, fluffiest little face and a heart that is somehow even bigger than his magnificent coat. Augustus knows what it’s like to struggle. Life outdoors was, without a doubt, the cruelest chapter of his story. But perhaps that’s also why he understands just how wonderful life can be now. These days, Augustus is always hovering a few steps above contentment, ready to stretch out his paws toward any human willing to give him even the tiniest bit of attention. And let us be clear: Augustus absolutely LOVES people. Give him a human companion and he is a happy boy. He would happily spend his days soaking up affection, lounging nearby, and enjoying the simple luxury of being safe, warm, and loved. He dreams of spending his golden years cuddling with his human—or, perhaps even better, sitting contentedly nearby while they go about their day. He doesn’t need constant excitement or adventure. He just wants to be part of someone’s life, where he can finally know that he is safe, cherished, and home. After everything Augustus has been through, he deserves nothing less than a soft place to land, a loving human to call his own, and a lifetime of belly rubs. If you’re looking for a fluffy little shadow with a huge heart, Augustus may be your guy. --- Augustus has been in a foster home with multiple other young and older kitties. He would do well going into a home with or without other pets. With the right family who will give him the love he needs. Augustus has never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a patient, cat-savvy dog we think he could learn to love a new pup sibling. Augustus is approximately 2.5 years old, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy.. all he needs now is a forever home! The adoption application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat

Augustus is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

 --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, youre doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
Mini Churro is a calm, sweet kitten with the cutest curious eyes and a gentle personality. He does great with other cats and enjoys being around people (although he can be a little unsure around children) especially once he’s had a little time to get comfortable. He loves playtime and builds a strong bond through interactive toys and gentle attention. After he warms up, Mini Churro turns into the sweetest little cuddle bug. He loves curling up next to you on the sofa and will happily snuggle in your lap while you relax in your sofa. He’s also a big fan of wet food (which makes him extra easy to win over). He also likes Churu treats and any treat for that matter! If you’re looking for a kitten who is affectionate, calm, and full of love Mini Churro will be the perfect addition to your home.
