Story
🎂 Birthday Wish: A Forever Home! 🎂 Geneseo & Geneva are turning ONE in mid-July and all they want for their birthday is a loving forever home — together! These two are a sweet, low-maintenance bonded pair who are looking for a calm, quiet home to call their own. Their start in life was a familiar one: born to an unfixed kitten, their owner reached out for help, and now these two precious siblings are ready to move on from their rescue chapter to their forever family. 🐾 Meet Geneseo: A gentle, lovable boy who adores attention. He’ll race you to the bed, flop over for belly rubs, and happily soak up all the love (and yes, he drools a little when he’s really happy — it’s adorable!). He’s a big, sweet guy who loves lounging on the windowsill and keeping an eye on the outside world. All toys are fair game, but the fishing pole is his favorite! 🐾 Meet Geneva: The queen of cuddles. She loves to spoon in bed, stretch out on the top of the cat tree, and will let you cradle her like a baby. Her purr may have quieted, but her love hasn’t — and she’s still obsessed with the laser pointer! They’re incredibly easy-going — truly the most low-maintenance cats you’ll meet. After a long day or even a hectic night, they won’t hold it against you if the litter box isn’t scooped right away. They’ll just be happy you're home and would rather spend time snuggling. They are shy with loud or unfamiliar noises and may need time to adjust, but once they feel safe, they’ll come right back out for love. Please note: They must be adopted together — they’re bonded and rely on each other. They’ve never lived with other cats, dogs, or children, and would do best in a quiet home. For adoption info and fees, email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️ Help control the pet population — please spay and neuter your pets! 💯

Story
Nala was found back in February and has been in a foster home with her rescuer. She has since been spayed and vetted and is now ready for her forever home!  Her foster says she's quite shy but incredibly sweet. She has never hissed or tried to scratch or bite and if you sit or lay next to her, she'll slowly scoot closer to you and purr. If you move too quickly she will get spooked as she's still learning to trust humans.  Nala would likely thrive in a calm/quiet home with no young children.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2025, 1:48 pm

Story
Meet Baby. Baby is an older cat with a sweet disposition. Baby is looking for a retirement home where she can relax and enjoy warm sunny spots and big fluffy cat beds. Baby is a beautiful long haired cat who likes to be brushed. Baby is known to enjoy a nice warm lap on her terms. She is friendly and social with children 10+ years old and adults. Baby may enjoy the companionship of another older cat, but prefers a dog free home. While in our care Baby had a dental procedure to get her mouth nice and clean again, so there is an added cost to her adoption fee. Baby also has a heart murmur which will require her future pet parent to follow up yearly with a veterinarian for routine bloodwork and radiographs. Our staff can tell you more about that when you come to the shelter to say hello to Baby.
