Story
Say hello to Susie! This gorgeous senior girl is on her weight loss journey and is ready for a new forever home! In October 2022, Susie found herself at a veterinary office for euthanasia because her family couldn't handle her obesity and sanitary needs. The vet couldn't bear to put an overall healthy animal to sleep and reached out to Susie's foster family for help. Susie arrived at her foster home at a whopping 35 pounds! She is on a strict diet and has lost 11 pounds so far - down to 24! Her adopter will have to assist her with her weight loss journey by feeding her a specific diet food and encouraging exercise. She has so much more energy now and loves roaming the house. She is young at heart and loves teaser wands and string toys! She enjoys catnip, cat scratchers, and naps. Her favorite napping spot is anywhere in the warm sunshine - she especially loves going in the Florida room to soak up some rays. When she isn't napping, she is following her foster parents around the house - even to the bathroom! Susie is a GIANT cuddle bug! She enjoys snuggling up to her foster parents whether it be in bed or on the couch. She loves getting pets behind her ears and on her white chest. She will grab your hand softly so you don't stop petting her chest. She sometimes will boop your nose to get your attention and let you know she wants pets! Due to her weight, Susie is unable to properly groom herself which causes her to have sanitary issues. She needs to have her booty wiped or she can leave marks on her bed or blankets. Her foster parents find it helpful to shave her backside every so often. She is tolerant of it because she gets rewarded with a treat afterwards! Once Susie loses more weight, she will be able to groom herself better. Susie does not get along with other cats but she gets along great with her two foster dog sisters. She would do best with older children or children who respect her space. She can get sassy if you touch her belly or tail area! Are you looking for a chunk, a chunk of burning love? Look no further! Story
Alejandro (AJ) and Estevan (Stevie) are an adorable bonded brother pair who must be adopted TOGETHER! Due to an onslaught of kittens available for rescue, we have had the privilege of having Alejandro (AJ) in our home for longer than usual, as they wait patiently to be found and adopted, and as a foster mama, I wouldn’t be lying to say that these are some of the best kittens we’ve ever had! Both brothers! Living with these two is like winning the lottery. It makes me wish I knew their mama. Alejandro (AJ): AJ came to us very scared and it was immediately clear to me that out of the two trembling kittens, he was the protector when things got rough and they were on their own— he was just so brave, and when he thought Stevie was in trouble, despite obvious fear in his eyes, he came right at me, to get between us and protect his brother. Because of this, we fell for him HARD, right away. He was brave and sassy and I knew that these were things that he REQUIRED in order to survive, and survive he did! He has been with us now for months, and with a lot of work and patience, we have seen the most beautiful metamorphosis. I sort of had suspected that under all that fluff and hiss that he was probably one of the more soft and sensitive cats that I’d ever seen, and I was not wrong. He is an absolute love bug at this point. Instead of hissing, when you pick him up and love on him, he’ll push away playfully, but he can’t hide his little muffin paws, they just start kneading you, evidencing that he loves every minute of the snuggles. He now walks straight up to you, and does the most darling little dance when you are preparing his wet food in the mornings and at night, we call him happy feet. AJ is fluffy and curious and brave and loves his brother, Stevie (the other half of his bonded pair) and all of his foster family and guests with what appears to be all of his heart. Because of this, we’re hoping that his future family will be a safe place for him to continue his joyful reign. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet you and let you get to know him! Estevan (Stevie): This precious little kitty is pure sugar, no spice. He’s part of a bonded pair with his fluffy brother AJ (Alejandro) who he loves deeply, but he loves pretty much any human or any cat! We call him our drapery, because he is a watcher, and he loves to drape over the kitchen counter to watch you cook or do dishes, or in the bathroom under the mirror to watch you get ready for the day. Wherever the action is, he is there to supervise, but he seems to approve of pretty much whatever you are up to. He has a beautiful calm disposition and even when he was brand new and wasn’t TERRIBLY sure that he was safe, could not resist a soft fluffy pillow or the warm fireplace for a stretchy nap. We just love this little guy and know that any home that he will end up in will be 1- well supervised and 2- so much better for it. Stevie is an incredible cat and can’t wait to meet you! Story
Geneva and Geneseo are an adorable bonded pair who MUST be adopted TOGETHER! Their story is a familiar one in the rescue world - their owner’s unfixed kitten had kittens, and she reached out to us to get the help these two precious babies needed to thrive. ❤️GENEVA❤️ has crazy markings! Two white spots in the larger tabby spot on her back, a tabby spot that runs down her nose, a very light spot under her chin near her neck, and a spot on each rear leg that sometimes look like a heart when she lays just right. She’s very laid back - so well-behaved and like a little angel! She’s a shy girl, with the biggest purr! She walks around purring up a storm! She hides away at first, but once she gets comfortable with you she will come around. She’ll climb on her foster mom’s chest or shoulder purring and excited to be held. She loves to be held and snuggled! She is normally the first one to the wet food because Geneseo stops for more pets on the way. She loves the laser pointer toy and goes crazy chasing it. She really enjoys napping at the top of the cat tree or in a hammock! She loves her brother Geneseo and she cries when he is not in her sight. 💙GENESEO💙 has a beautiful fluffy coat! He’s white under and tabby on top, except he has one tabby spot on one of his front legs. He’s become the biggest love bug! He does not love it when you pick him up to just hold him, but he will do just about anything to get you to pet him! He will crawl in your lap and nudge your hand or kiss it until you start scratching his head. He will also lay down next to you & nudge you or lay his head on your lap until you pet him. He has great manners & will step aside when it is sister’s turn for pets and love. He has a very soft broken up purr. He loves to play and if you let him he will play until he starts panting, so you have to make sure to keep an eye on him and stop playing before he gets to that point! The fishing pole is his favorite toy.  They haven’t been around other cats, dogs, or kids, and they’re not used to chaos, so they’d do best in a quiet home. Story
Hi, I’m Bess! I am a very talkative 5-year-old long-haired baby who is ready to find my fur-ever home! I am a little shy at first, but after a brief warming-up period, I will be asking for all the attention! I am great around dogs with a calm temperament and also seem to get along well with other cats. I will play with various toys, but I prefer to lounge around and be petted by my human. I also really love scratch pads and using them (and not the furniture).   I am a very curious cat and always want to be around when something is going on. You will always hear me coming because I love to be vocal and make my presence known! ☺️ I enjoy both wet and dry food and am litter box trained.  I love all the pets and attention and will lay next to you, but I am hesitant to lay on humans' laps (yet). Maybe with some patience and extra love, I will be more of a lap baby! Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

Story
Hello! My name is Preston, and I would like to introduce myself to my furever purrents! I was rescued from a colony in Hampton and was supposed to be TNR, but I kept meowing after being neutered, so BTKR took a chance on me. My foster moms have been very patient with me, my new purrents will need to be patient as well, and I have discovered the joy of pets! My foster moms hang out with me, and I have learned to come to them. I have the softest fur and fluffy tail, and I love belly rubs, and chin scratches are the absolute best! I have been known to drool a bit because they feel so good! I do hide some, and I am not a fan of being picked up yet, but I know that the perfect patient person is out there who is willing to work with me and help me become comfortable in my new home! I am the most handsome domestic grey tabby cat with gorgeous green eyes! I love food, both wet and dry! I love to play with balls, mice, wand toys, and lasers. 😊 I have been neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. I am not sure how I am around dogs or kids, but I am sure I will be fine with patience, time, and the proper slow introduction. If you take the time, I am worth it and will reward you with purrs and biscuits! I am ready to find my purrfect parents and forever home! Are you ready to add to your clan?   Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com. ‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯
