Story
I’ve been with my person since I was 8 weeks old, and I’m now 6. Life has changed, and my person no longer has the time I deserve and may not be able to take me when they move. They’re trying hard to keep me out of a shelter and find me a loving, experienced home.I’m house-trained, food-motivated, and LOVE cuddles, attention, and affection. I can be anxious, so I need patience and time to build trust. I don’t like being alone for long, but I’ll tolerate a crate when needed. I’m energetic and would love someone who enjoys walks and adventures!I generally do well with male dogs, but females may not be a good fit. When scared, overwhelmed, threatened, or trapped, my anxiety can cause aggressive reactions. I’ve tolerated young children, but older kids or an adult-only home would be best.I just need someone who understands my boundaries and will love me patiently. ❤️

Story
Striking, Loyal, and Ready for Your Next Big Hike (7-8 Years Old) Bash was rescued from a severe abuse and hoarding situation in Bakersfield. Despite his rough past, his heart remains completely open to people—he is deeply loving, gentle, and eager to please his humans. He has spent the last year in a loving foster home learning what it means to be safe, and he is finally ready for his true forever home. Bash absolutely loves his walks. He is a phenomenal hiking companion, handles a leash beautifully, and has fantastic energy for outdoor adventures. Home: Because of his husky heritage, Bash requires a secure yard to stretch his legs. He is in perfect, vibrant health and ready for years of adventure Animal Socialization: Bash is not a match for homes with cats or small animals. While he can eventually accept other dogs, he has some trauma from his past and takes significant time to warm up to them. He would thrive best as your one-and-only dog, or with an experienced handler

Story
The Majestic & Sweet Senior Gentle Giant (10-11 Years Old) Look at that face! Phantom is a breathtaking Malamute / German Shepherd mix who looks exactly like a wild wolf but acts like a total sweetheart. Phantom and his sister were cruelly abandoned and left to die in a landfill, but against all odds, he survived. He conquered a tough case of heartworm, beat the odds, and is now ready to live out his golden years in comfort. Low-Key Companion & Guard Dog: Phantom’s favorite hobby is simply hanging out with you. He is perfectly content to snooze near your feet, watch a movie, or keep you company while you work. Beat the Heat: Because of his thick, beautiful northern-breed coat, Phantom urgently needs a home with great air conditioning where he can get out of the intense summer heat. Other Pets: Phantom prefers the quiet life. He takes time to warm up to other dogs, though with patience, he can learn to coexist. He will be happiest as an only pet where he can soak up all the love.

Story
If you are looking for a dog that completely lights up every room she walks into, Arya is your girl. She is a literal ball of light, radiating joy, resilience, and positive energy despite a rough past. Abandoned alongside her brother Phantom, Arya was severely mistreated and never received vet care. Zest for Life: Arya has incredible energy for a senior dog! She absolutely loves going on walks, exploring her surroundings, and bringing a smile to everyone she meets. She is fiercely looking for a human best friend to bond with. Home Dynamics: Arya can adapt to an indoor or outdoor lifestyle. However, because it has been a while since she lived a traditional home life, she may need a brief, patient refresher course on potty training when she first arrives. The Only-Pet Queen: Arya knows her worth and does NOT get along with other dogs or small animals. She demands to be the exclusive queen of her castle. Arya has put her past behind her and only looks forward with joy.
