Story
Hello, my name is Bree Anna. But my foster mom calls me “Breezy” I’m 10 weeks old weighing 13 lbs. I’m a Siberian Husky mix, though we think I may be a purebred? I have the most beautiful blue eyes that will win anyone's heart. My family prior didn't realize how much it takes to raise a baby, so they surrendered me to AFC. I am in foster care learning and loving life. I am already fully potty-trained to a doggie door. I will need someone willing to be patient with me and continue my training when I go to my forever home. I love to play with other dogs, so a dog friend would be needed. I am small now but will probably weigh between 35-55 lbs, so a bigger dog would be better, I am considered a medium size dog when grown. I know how to sit and stay. I also retrieve the ball then bring it back. I love all people and kids and am leash trained now. I am up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and will be spayed when I am old enough. The home I will need is a work from home person, and an active household that will include me in most or all activities. My breed does not like to be left alone. I use a crate at night time for sleeping in my foster moms bedroom. If the door is left open during the day and I get tired I will go in and take a nap. I am a sweet, playful and loving girl and will be a wonderful companion. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. 💥 ADOPT A SERVICE DOG!! 💥 Tons of disabilities can be mitigated and qualify for service dog assistance. Both of these dogs have the right temperament and are ready for service dog work! If you have a mental or physical disability or major health issue, contact us, and we can help coach you through the service dog training process. _________ TAKODA is an AGOUTI (wolf-colored) husky that was found laying in the middle of the street next to his dead friend who got hit by a car. He was raised on the streets and started off pretty wild/feral but has come a LONG way since coming to the rescue. He has learned household manners (such as not jumping on counters) and is very enthusiastic with his affection. He is desperate to come inside and be part of a family. This dog is energetic and somewhat assertive but not at all aggressive and listens well to boundaries set by other dogs... He would love another similar-sized dog to play with who is confident enough to become friends and a Person or family who is willing to train him. >> Experience with huskies preferred. Huskies are very smart and very vocal, although TAKODA only howls or yelps when he is being left in a kennel but really wants to be with his family. ***He has also been known to be an ESCAPE ARTIST and will need an escape-proof yard or kennel at first, but once he is bonded with his family, he has no desire to go anywhere. Hit us up if you are interested in TAKODA or have any questions for us! VALLEY CANINE Specialists Admin@ValleyCanine.org 209.280.0892 FB.com/ValleyCanineSpecialists

He is a gorgeous dog with a rock solid temperament. He was even being prepped to be a service dog, so if you have any special needs we can accommodate. He is very playful and energetic and so will need somebody who is active enough to keep him occupied. Story
Meet Fern! Fern is a 2 year old husky that is full of energy and love. She loves to cuddle, play with toys, and give lots of kisses. She is very shy at first and gets scared easily, so she will need someone who is willing to take things super slow with her and show her plenty of love along the way. She does amazing with kids, absolutely no aggression. She has not been tested around cats. As with husky breeds, she will need plenty of exercise. Fern is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs I've ever met. Fostered in: Sacramento, CA Adoption donation is SPONSORED. Includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
