Story
Karly is a wonderful dog! She's sweet, snuggly, playful and friendly with people and other animals (except, perhaps, for squirrels :-) She's 5 years old and about 50 lbs. She obeys sit, down, and shake. She's a little iffy on come, stay and not pulling on the leash, but she clearly knows what they mean. She does jump up when meeting people so that would need to be worked on. We've had to use a dog sedative pill for car rides but that may be because she's not used to them. She whines but doesn't bark. Her previous owner(our son's friend) developed a disability including some limitation with mobility, became unable to work and had to move to a place that doesn't allow pets. We took Karly in because the move was happening suddenly, but, unfortunately (we already love her!) we can't keep her because we travel a lot. In fact, when we agreed to take Karly we already had our next trip set up for Jan 23rd - Feb. 1st. Karly (named after Karlach) would be so happy to be YOUR dog.

Story
Meet Sadie — Your Hilarious, High-Energy Adventure Buddy! Sadie is a healthy, 50-lb pitbull mix with a heart as big as her goofy grin. Estimated to be around 5–6 years old, she came to us as a rescue and has been making us laugh ever since. She adores people, loves other dogs, and would probably be fine with cats (though she hasn’t officially tested her feline diplomacy yet). Sadie is all about fun, enthusiasm, and movement — truly a bull-in-a-china-shop personality in the most endearing way. She LOVES going for walks and could make an amazing running buddy with some consistent training. She’s food-motivated, knows her basic commands, and responds beautifully to a choke collar during walks. That said, Sadie is not a couch-potato dog — she’s a lifestyle. When she gets excited, she may jump or play-nip. She sheds, she drools, she thinks furniture is fair game, and she will help herself to anything left on the counter (or in the trash… or your retainers). She’s also an enthusiastic “ba

Story
Older couple looking to rehome a high energy dog to a loving gentle household without other animals due to food and resource aggression. Loves walks, fetch, tug-o-war, cuddling under blankets, watching birds, laying in the sun on the deck. He has been around toddlers and older children with no aggressive incidents. Very affectionate but not aggressive towards people.

Story
MEET LABUBU!Looking for an adorable shepherd puppy? Meet Labubu! She’s incredibly cute, with a soft coat and a smart, lively personality. Bursting with energy, she’s always eager to play, learn, and explore, making her a wonderful match for an adopter familiar with puppy antics and committed to patient training, daily exercise, and mental stimulation. She’s currently working on clicker training for house manners, “sit,” and “down,” and does great in her crate overnight as long as you’re in the room with her, though she’s still learning to be calm when left alone. She’d thrive in a home with a tolerant, large dog who can match her playful spirit, but she’s not suited for families with small children, as her enthusiastic zoomies might knock over anything lighter than she is. She’s endlessly curious, and with a loving, engaged adopter, she’ll blossom into a loyal and intelligent companion. My friends describe me as: Energetic, Affectionate, AdventurousLabubu is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Labubu or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
