Story
Kodak was given to our care because his owner was homeless. She was unable to take him back and we are unable to keep him because we have a very full house with 3 kids, 3 cats, and another dog. Kodak is ok with other dogs, but he seems much more content when it is just him and a person. We paid for him to receive training to address his barking and guarding behavior. He has responded well to the training, likes to let you know when anything (a leaf, a person, a squirrel) is around and he sees it through the window, and knows how to sit and wait. He is part Husky, so he does like to talk, and has a lot of energy. He likes to play tug with his rope toys. He also will check on each person in the household each night before he curls up in what he has claimed as "his" chair.

Story
Niko is a 4 yo german shepherd. His birthday is 2/2/18 so he's almost 5. I got him right before Covid so he was not socialized as much as he should've been and has some social anxiety when other humans come to his home or are around his humans. He is extremely protective of what's his and will give ample warning to those who are a threat by barking and pushing them back with his nose. He has to be medicated when he goes to the vet to calm him. With the right training and time this can be corrected. He's extremely intelligent and willing to learn new things. He's a working dog by nature. He loves walks, playing catch with his tennis ball, squeaky toys and lots of attention. He won't leave your side or run away. He's house trained and food driven. I lost my husband to suicide a year ago and due to financial reasons I cannot keep him. I am heartbroken and desperate to find him a loving home asap.
