Story

Carrots is an owner give up to our rescue. Below is the information her owner gave us initially. I have had Carrots for almost two years now. She has been the most amazing friend I could have asked for. She rarely barks and only lets out an occasional whine if she needs to go out or is wanting some attention. She’s a well behaved for a dog that lives her life with me in a small dorm and can only go out to play fetch or go for a walk when I’m not at class or work. She needs better. In general, she has been amazing for the hand she’s been dealt. I actually couldn’t be more grateful for how well she’s treated me as she’s grown to be near a full two years old!! I am having to part with her because she is still a puppy, and I’m a Junior in college struggling to work and commute on weekends when I have to, and give her the attention she deserves. She’s trained well. She sits on command, she can stay if you ask, she’s house trained, and she’s comfortable with her kennel if needed. She uses a harness for walks and does great. She was trained to walk on the left of you and she’s usually pretty good about staying focused. She has started the process of being an ESA certified dog but has not rec'd her second certification. Her previous owner said that she was around a child once and growled so we do not recommend her with small children. She has never been around cats so we cannot say whether she will or will not be okay arounds feline friends. She would make a great family member for an active family. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This young boy was found as a stray and the finders could not keep him. He is a friendly boy who is with another dog and has done fine. He knows how to walk on a leash and we assume is housetrained. He is all fixed and ready to go.

Brutus is a wonderful dog! Sadly his owners moved and thought they could put a fenced-in yard where they moved and because of neighbors and previous info on the deed were not allowed to. It was in tears that they surrendered him. He is full blooded and had papers. He is definitely deserving of a great home. He was in a home with a couple of smaller dogs and a number of cats. He is warm and affectionate. He is an intelligent dog and would make a great companion for any German Shepherd loving person. During one freezing winter, Danpoong gave birth to five puppies at a shelter and was soon diagnosed with mange. Adogs urgently rescued the family. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Loves people and greets familiar ones with kisses! Allows people to lightly touch him, but more he only allows stronger physical affection when he’s feeling happy. Although unafraid, he is on guard with unfamiliar people and when people make quick movements, he may bark and reject treats. Is scared of guests, barking at them and hiding in another room. With a slow and gentle approach, he opens up quickly. * With Dogs: Is indifferent to dogs who don’t engage but approaches those who show interest in him. Gets along very well with even new canine friends. Has become more accustomed to walking and no longer reacts to passing birds or cats. * Car Sickness: Experiences motion sickness after about 15 minutes. It’s best to avoid feeding him right before car rides. * Biting: Bites defensively when strangers approach and try to touch him immediately. This doesn’t seem to be out of aggression but because he’s trying to protect himself. Sometimes, he bites when being forced to do something, so caution is needed. * Barking: Is a bit gluttonous and may growl when people touch his favorite treats. Sometimes barks in fear when he hears a sudden or unfamiliar noise, but calms down quickly. * Likes: Loves treats. Comes running, sits and waits in anticipation once he hears the opening of the fridge. Loves playing tug, too! * Dislikes: Expresses discomfort by baring teeth if picked up or touched against his will. * Tricks: Is a genius who has mastered 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'nose' and 'V,' and understands the difference between right and left paws!

Namu was in the risk of being put down while staying in such a crowded place. Adogs team rescued him in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and wary of strangers, and tends to fear being touched. Can be touched when trust is built, so it's important to wait and go at his own pace. * With Dogs: Gives a warning sign such as growling when new dogs smell him or get in his face. Wags his tail and greets familiar dogs, but seems to prefer being alone to playing or hanging out with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows some aggression towards cats, so careful monitoring is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet, since he is living with other dogs as a group at the center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty only since he is staying at the center. * Hygiene: Takes baths and brushing very well. This beautiful girl, Zuzu, is the mom to Sadie-J, Gus, Daisy, Teddy, Sky and Jazmin. They were all found abandoned at a landfill in Texas. Zuzu has taken her role as a parent seriously and has been a wonderfully patient and protective mother to not only her own puppies, but also to a few other motherless puppies that are staying at the same foster home. Our best guess is that she is around 3 years old. She stands about 18-20" at the shoulder in height. According to her foster, she shows several signs (like chattering her teeth when she gets excited) of having some Belgian Malinois in her mix. Not only is she a great mother, but she is also a very sweet and friendly dog. She loves attention and listens well. She has just been at her fosters for a short period of time but she already gets excited when she hears their car approach and she will come when called. She is friendly with other dogs, and doesn't bother the cats and chickens that are living around her. Help us find this great girl a new home, and apply to adopt her! Personality: friendly, affectionate, listens well Good with: people, dogs, and cats. Has not been around young children yet.
