Story
I adopted Maya from a shelter after she had been surrendered by her previous owners. She is a 7 year old Pit/Husky mix according to her paperwork. She is so sweet and loving when she is calm, but when she is riled up or anxious she has no control of herself and she can be accidentally destructive because of that. She would do best in a house with no other pets where she can be free to roam around and gnaw on her bone. She's not especially interested in toys but she loves food and loves to lay on your lap while you're relaxing in bed or wrapping herself around you for snuggles. We love her so so much and are truly heartbroken to have to rehome her, she deserves so much love and affection that I unfortunately can't give to her at this point.

Story
Oliver is a smart and friendly 4 year old Pitsky. He was raised with a cat, good with most other dogs and he’s great with children/babies! I’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old and after separating from his “dad” I can no longer take care of him on my own for multiple reasons. Ultimately, there are owners out there who are better equipped. He is very crate trained and often relies on it for a sense of safety - and of course naps! Oliver is very well mannered, quietly observant and pays close attention to his person. Not a lap dog but Oliver shows his love many other ways. He doesn’t cuddle too long unless he’s tired, although hugs/kisses/pets are acceptable. He enjoys tug of war and fetch. Oli tends to get restless when he needs exercise or stimulation. To ensure Oliver gets the best life possible, someone with a large yard, or a regularly active adoptee is encouraged to apply. He will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated on February 28th. Fee negotiable!

Story
My daughter fell in love with khaleesi while visiting the SPCA in Old New Castle in 2020. She has been nothing but a loving mush ever since. (6 months later we found out she has a tumor in her bladder-has not grown). She never barks. The only times we have ever heard her bark was when she was protecting somebody in the family and even then it was only one singular bark. She absolutely loves people and has a natural curiosity for other animals. Her worst character trait is that she thinks she is a lapdog. She thrives on attention and cuddles. Now that she is 12 years old, she does require additional attention and pee breaks. Over the last 6 years, our family has changed drastically between deployments & new additions & we simply just don’t have the time to offer her that she needs. Being that she is an older dog, we would love for her to be w/ somebody that needs a companion by their side and can provide her with the best love and care for her remaining years. Someone with a large yard.
