Stringbean is one gorgeous German Shepherd with an even more beautiful personality! This sweet girl is gentle, affectionate, and has so much love to give. She`s the kind of dog who will happily settle in beside you, lean her whole body into you, and soak up every bit of affection you`re willing to offer. She`ll stay right there for as long as the pets keep coming! Stringbean is a great walking buddy too! She’s great on leash, easily handled, and we think she may already be potty trained! She`s mostly calm and easygoing, but she does have a little pep in her step! With her medium energy level, Stringbean has a nice balance of enthusiasm and relaxation. She enjoys being around people, but she`s also perfectly content amusing herself and exploring her surroundings. Toys and treats don`t seem to interest her much. She`s much more motivated by affection! She`s also dog friendly and would do best with a calm, neutral canine companion who matches her easygoing personality.Stringbean has already known what it`s like to lose a home (she was surrendered to us after having been found as a stray), and now she`s ready to find one that will last forever. If you`re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will happily be your shadow without demanding your attention every second of the day, Stringbean could be your girl! Meet Hope! This gorgeous German Shepherd is hoping her next chapter includes a family who will love her for who she is - and not overlook her just because she doesn’t see the world quite as clearly as she once may have. Hope and Havoc A054724 were found together, and Hope had a microchip, but unfortunately, no one ever came back to reclaim her. Now she’s looking for a new home where she can settle in and be someone’s loyal companion.When she came in, her right eye was enlarged, and it’s clear she can’t see out of it. She has been evaluated by our veterinary team and is thankfully not showing signs of pain or discomfort with that eye. Medications were tried, but were discontinued after she showed no noticeable improvement. That eye may not work very well, but it doesn’t hold her back! She still knows how to enjoy the important things - attention, toys, treats, and love!Hope is a calm, gentle girl who is incredibly easy to handle. She walks nicely on leash without pulling, appears to be potty trained, and takes treats very gently from your hand. She knows how to sit and lay down on command, too! One of Hope’s biggest loves is playing with toys. She gets excited to play with them, and enjoys tracking them down. She’s unable to see out of her right eye, so she treats it as a fun challenge. Most of the time, Hope is a low energy girl, with a little extra pep when toys are involved.If you`re looking for a dog who will happily hang out beside you, Hope is your girl. She absolutely loves being pet and will calmly stay by your side for as long as you`re willing to give her attention. Hope has also done well meeting other dogs in shelter playgroups.If you’re looking for a sweet, calm German Shepherd who would rather spend her days beside you than bouncing off the walls, come meet Hope.
