Story
Saffron is an young German Shepherd mix bursting with joy, energy, and puppy enthusiasm. She walks pretty well on a leash, but once she’s loose in the play yard, it’s zoomies galore! Saffron loves to run at top speed, fishtailing her back legs as she makes sharp turns, clearly having the time of her life. She’s very energetic and playful and tends to jump up a lot in excitement - she’s just so eager to play and be involved that she can’t quite contain herself yet! She does know how to sit on command, and she’s motivated by both treats and toys. Squeaky toys are a favorite, and she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself with them.Despite her go-go-go speed, Saffron has a sweet off switch: when you’re petting her, she melts. She’ll happily settle in for as long as you’ll give her attention, rolling right over for belly rubs (which she absolutely adores). She’s a playful pup at heart and still very much enjoying the world with puppy curiosity. Saffron would thrive with an active home ready to help her channel her energy, continue her training, and give her plenty of playtime and cuddles. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, high-energy companion, Saffron might be your perfect match.

Story
Herbert is an energetic, happy go lucky guy who brings excitement wherever he goes! From the moment you walk up to his kennel, he’s thrilled to see. His enthusiasm is contagious, and life is never boring with Herbert around! Playtime is where he truly shines. Herbert absolutely loves toys. Toss one and he’s off! His favorite? When you chase him for it - he’ll zoom around with pure joy. He also loves a good game of tug-of-war. He’ll happily entertain himself with toys for a bit, though he much prefers when you join in. He’s both toy and treat motivated. Herbert is a super smart boy who already knows how to sit and give paw on command. He takes treats gently and is eager to engage, but he’s not one to stay still for long - there’s just too much fun to be had! He enjoys attention and will seek it out, especially if he thinks you’ve been ignoring him for too long.Because of his excitement and energy, Herbert is still working on his leash manners. He never wants to leave the play yard once he’s in it! He’d love to have a yard of his own to run around in whenever he wants. He’s done great with other dogs in shelter playgroups and is very playful with them. His dream home could also include other dogs to romp with! Playing with others helps him burn off some excess energy. With his boundless energy, playful spirit, and sharp mind, Herbert is looking for an active adopter who can keep up with him and continue his training. In return, you’ll get a fun loving, toy obsessed companion who will keep you laughing, moving, and smiling every single day.

Story
Jared is a happy, vocal guy who isn’t shy about sharing his excitement - especially when he knows it’s time to get out of his kennel! He’ll greet you with some eager whining, but don’t let that fool you - he’s actually very easy to handle and leashes up without any trouble. He walks nicely with little pulling and is more than ready to soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. This handsome boy is definitely treat motivated and already knows how to sit on command. He also has an impressive talent for catching treats midair! If you try and make him wait for treats, don’t be surprised if he does an adorable little hover with his front feet lifted – he just can’t contain his enthusiasm for snacks! Jared isn’t too interested in toys, but he more than makes up for it with his love of people. He thrives on attention, and will happily lean into you for pets. He’s also likely to hand out a few kisses or two! He’s got a nice medium energy level – he’s content to explore and enjoy himself, but just as happy to stick by your side and soak up affection. With his affectionate nature, Jared is sure to bring lots of love into his future home.

Story
Pretzel is a sweet baby with lots of love to give. She is not overly-energetic in need of constant play, but she is absolutely happy and ready if you are!! She LOVES kids and is very excited around other dogs. She barks to alert and knows recall words. She is great on walks, will not run up to people or dogs. We have had a great time with her, and unfortunately are having issues with allergies from my infant. Pretzel is allergic to chicken, but it is a VERY mild allergy, only leads to extra scratching for about 24 hours and then it goes away. Please ask for more information. She is crate trained, potty trained, and knows lots of action words!

Story
Yara is a stunning German Shepherd with brains, beauty, and just the right amount of sass. This smart girl already knows how to sit on command, and seems like she’d pick up new tricks quickly. She’s not too interested in treats, but she’s very motivated by playful interactions. Speaking of play – Yara loves to chase after toys when you throw them, then she’ll happily carry them around for a bit. She has no issues when you take the toy from her mouth, but she has been known to pretend to enjoy you petting her while she’s really working on sneaking the toy back from you! Yara has a medium energy level – she can be playful and active, but she’s also able to keep herself entertained. She’s done well meeting other dogs in shelter and seems to have a confident, more dominate personality type with them.
