Story
Bonnie is the kind of dog who will “talk” to you when she wants affection—her way of letting you know she’s ready for love. She’s best described as young at heart, but with an old soul. She enjoys playtime with people and other dogs, yet she’s just as happy being lazy, napping nearby, and enjoying the quiet moments of life. At first, Bonnie may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and calm personality shines through. She’s crate and potty trained, sits, lay downs, and handshake. She’s also very polite in the home and doesn’t get onto couches or beds unless welcomed - preferring her own spot to relax. Bonnie loves the outdoors, whether that’s lying in the grass or chasing a ball (though she usually decides three throws is plenty!). She doesn’t need a huge yard, just enough room to lounge and sniff around. She has a laid-back, low-energy temperament but still gets the occasional zoomies after mealtime or a fun play session. Bonnie walks……

Story
Buddy was previously cared for by our father who has recently passed away. Unfortunately, no one in the family nor any friends are able to take care of him. As we proceed to sell our fathers home, we need to find a new home for Buddy. He will need someone who is willing to train him as he likes to jump up on people and is not comfortable on a leash. Our father enjoyed Buddy's company and we hope Buddy is able to be someone else's buddy down the road.

Story
I found Domino in my apartments , she was abandoned as a puppy. She was Approximately 10 weeks old at the time. I did try to find a home for her at that time since I already had two other dogs and one was severely ill but no luck and I then just decided to keep her. She is now almost 2 years old and I have had to move a lot due to my living /life situations. I will be moving again next year and know I will not be able to take her with me. She is a high energetic dog and I feels she deserves a home with other dogs her size and someone that could give her more attention.

Story
10 months old Cypress is an incredibly loving pup, who was saved from a high kill shelter in Houston. Cypress is shy at first, but a little petting and she is ready to melt and be velcro with you She will really do good in a home with a second dog, as she loves playing with her doggie foster siblings. She runs circles around her 4 year old foster doggie siblings. Cypress will make a great addition to any family. She is sweet and loving, and very obedient. She is also extremely well behaved. She has no resource guarding tendency. Cypress lives with 2 other dogs and a kitty, and her foster mom's grandkids in her foster home and gets along with everyone. Cypress is about 10 months old, and currently weighs around 50 lb. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. She is currently being fostered in Houston but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Cypress' adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Transport Fee to several states in the United States. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
WINNING PERSONALITY  DOB 5/29/21, weight 38 lbs. Meet Mary Beth! This gorgeous girl is on the smaller size for a Husky, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for with her winning personality.  She is very sociable and seeks human attention. She is good with children, very gentle, and very affectionate (and gives face kisses).  She rarely barks or howls, and she is not a good guard dog for alerting to people at the door.  Mary Beth would do great living in a cold climate!   She is typically high energy and athletic, being both fast and agile.  She will play tag/wrestle-mania with her sibling brother Charles who is twice her size, which often becomes very animated.  She gets really excited when she sees her leash that signals physical trips outside, either a walk in the neighborhood or a trip to the dog park.  She does well at dog parks and is very socialized with other dogs. Just like her sibling brother Charles, she needs physical activity every day or she’ll become bored.  She is very smart and inquisitive. She loves to "help you" in the kitchen if it means a tasty treat for her.  She is an escape artist and needs tall and secure fencing. Mary Beth would be a great addition to a pet parent that is familiar with the Husky breed and is looking for a new family member. She has spent her whole life with her sibling brother Charles, but they do not have to be adopted together as long as she has another medium / large size dog in her life. HOPE ID D25-0517-0027 Mary Beth’s $200 adoption fee includes the spay, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, negative fecal test, and monthly prevention for heartworms and fleas.  To apply online, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php.  Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Mary Beth will be at this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. GENTLE GIANT  DOB 5/29/21, weight 74 lbs. Meet Charles! This stunning boy is large for this breed but otherwise could be the Siberian Husky poster dog. He has a “woolie” coat and, like all Huskies, a double coat.  Charles would do great living in a cold climate!   Charles is very sociable and can be affectionate and seek human attention too. He is good with children, very gentle. He rarely barks or howls except when he hears sirens when outside.  He is basically low-energy and very calm for the breed.  He will play tag/wrestle-mania with his sibling sister, Mary Beth, which often becomes very animated.  Trips to the dog park, walks in the neighborhood and treats really excite Charles.  He needs some physical activity every day. If given the chance he will escape and needs tall and secure fencing. Charles would be a great addition to a pet parent that is familiar with the Husky breed and is looking for a new family member. He has spent his whole life with his sibling sister Mary Beth but they do not have to be adopted together as long as he has another large dog in his life.
