Story
2 yr old Rocky is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He came from a home with many dogs and has never had any issue with them. In his current home, he has been kept separated from his foster brother who is reactive to other dogs, but he sees them through the gate and never once barks. Rocky is little timid in new situations. He loves car rides. He is excellent with children. He loves for the neighborhood kids to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. Rocky is potty-trained and crate trained, although he is rarely crated, since he is very perfect outside a crate. During the freeze, he was patient about going out, and never once demanded to be taken out. He is a really sweet and tolerant pup. Rocky likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Rocky is 80 lb, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Rocky is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: Rocky's owners always used to leave him outside and he would come up to the neighbor's home. Finally they moved and did not take Rocky with them. His neighbor took him in and is fostering him.

Story
COURTESY POSTING : Gilda is a delightful 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who is still waiting for her forever home. It breaks our hearts to see such an excellent girl overlooked just because of her age. She is affectionate, pleasant, and always has a smile on her face. While Gilda might not be the best guard dog (she loves humans too much!), she excels in every other aspect of her German Shepherd heritage. She enjoys walks and outdoor adventures, but be prepared—she will pull if she sees squirrels. If you're too frail to handle a strong, enthusiastic walker, Gilda might not be the best match. Gilda is incredibly social with other dogs, although she may take a few minutes to warm up to new canine friends. With humans, however, it’s love at first sight. She’s never met a stranger and is always ready to receive head pats and affection. Gilda is up-to-date on her shots, heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative and deworming schedule. She is spayed and microchipped. She is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state. Transport fee is included in her adoption fee. Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Please send us an email at fullmenagerie@icloud.com, or fill out our application. We’re happy to answer a couple of questions prior to receiving your application, but we do prioritize serious applicants who are genuinely interested in giving Gilda the loving home she deserves. Let's give Gilda the chance to bring joy and companionship into your life—she’s ready to be your new best friend!

Pawlene is one of the loveliest pups in our rescue, who is very calm and sweet. She is good with dogs, and cats, great with humans, and loves children. Pawlene is extremely affectionate and a big time cuddler. She walks good on leash and is very smart and obedient, except when she sees a squirrel and wants to chase. She is truly a great pup who will make someone a wonderful companion. Pawlene is 21 months old, and weighs about 58 lbs now. She lives with 2 foster doggies and 2 kittie fosters and does well with everyone. A home with a friendly second pup will be ideal for her. She is fully vetted, current on vaccination, and is spayed and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. Pawlene is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. This cool guy just caught our eye as we were at the shelter to meet some other dogs. As you can see he has a very striking appearance and is also a really friendly boy who gets along with other dogs. Stufur was picked up as a stray and just had the bad luck to end up at the shelter and no one ever came for him.   He is a young boy, about a year or so old, and is smart and trainable and eager to please. He is only about 45 pounds or so, but he has a slim frame and is about the size of a lab, just skinnier.    He has such a bright personality and loves loves to give you hugs. Stufur would love nothing more than a family to love him and    September 16, 2024, 11:55 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Delgado! I’m a well-behaved walker on a leash and have learned a lot about being part of a pack of German Shepherds since becoming a foster dog. I get along well with other GSDs, but I find smaller animals like squirrels too tempting to resist chasing!  I have a hearty appetite and appreciate timely meals. I love playtime and enjoy when you pet me—I’ll even lean in and hug you back! I like to stay close and know what’s happening around the house, so it's best if I can be near you. At night, I sleep well in my crate as long as it's in your room, so I don't miss out on anything. I love car and truck rides and can be either an only GSD or have a sister. I’m very high-energy and would thrive with daily walks or backyard playtime. I’ll bark to alert you if someone gets too close to the fence, as I take pride in watching over my yard and home. I want to be the best GSD I can be and just need a family that will include me in their daily activities. Could that be you? ##1884925##

Story
Candy and her pups were taken in by GHGSDR during Valentines’ Day and now she's ready for her forever home. She is on the smaller side but has lots of love to give you! Candy is a two year old German Shepherd. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, wait. We’re working on her chomping - asking her to grab treats “gently” from our hands so we can keep all our fingers. She does pull on the leash a little at the beginning of our walks but does relax as we go. She is crate trained, she goes in easily. She loves to just stick next to you. She likes to curl up underneath our desks while we work. She likes playing with toys, especially squeaky toys. We also sometimes get cats in and around our home and she is curious but doesn’t really react and gives them their space. Candy is a classic female German Shepherd as she is reserved and shy at first. She does take time to warm up to new people and other dogs but once she's comfortable, she is super friendly and will happily follow you around to see what you’re doing. Loud sounds do scare her a little so please speak kindly.  Candy is ready for her second chance; could it be with you? ##1972607##

Story
Lola Boo is a sweet and charming girl.  She's slow to warm up but once she does, she's a joy to be around.  Lola loves playing with her foster brother and recently enjoyed a weekend entertaining a visiting 4 month old puppy.  When she first came to her foster home, she was scared of everything and had no trust.  She's blossomed into a sweet and loving girl with a cute sense of humor and is tolerant of her foster mom's strange ways (like making her wear a boa for a photo shoot).  She loves attention and to be told how pretty she is.  She knows basic commands such as sit, down and come.  She's crate trained and house trained.  Loves to relax near her person or chase squirrels from the yard.   ##1256127##

Story
Meet Stormy, the gentle long-haired GSD with a heart of gold! This beautiful German Shepherd is the epitome of a loving family companion. Stormy's sweet nature shines through in everything she does, especially when it comes to young children. She's patient, protective, and always ready for a gentle play session or a cuddle. Despite her size, Stormy is a master of harmony in multi-pet households. Stormy has a strong, confident personality and enjoys taking the lead! She may need a little time to establish her role with other dogs. She's formed an adorable friendship with the resident cat, often seen napping side by side. Even more surprisingly, she's fascinated by her scaly sibling - a bearded dragon - watching it with gentle curiosity.  Walks with Stormy are a dream come true. This well-mannered girl heels perfectly, making leash time a pleasure rather than a workout. Whether strolling through the park or navigating busy sidewalks, Stormy remains calm and attentive. She is also great in social settings and a favorite at any restaurant patio outing.  With her loyal German Shepherd instincts and a disposition sweeter than honey, Stormy is ready to bring joy, protection, and unconditional love to her forever home. Are you ready to give this very, very sweet girl the family she deserves? ##2171414##

Story
5 months old sweet malinois boy Samson had a life full of neglect and abuse when his owner used to duct tape his mouth and keep him chained outside. Fortunately, the abuse was witnessed by his neighbors who called cops on him, and Samson was rescued and brought to safety. Samson is a very loving, boy, who is full of life and of course puppy energy. He loves other dogs and loves to be petted and loves to snuggle up to you. Despite being so abused, he does not show any fearfulness and is ready to play whenever someone is nice to him. He lives with dogs and cats, and is fine with both. He is a baby, so everything will be a matter of consistent training and socialization. Samson is currently 40 lb, working on getting housebroken, current on shots, neutered and microchipped. He is also kept on flea and heartworm preventative. Samson is looking for a home that is familiar with malinois breed, and is able to give him the stimulation he needs. He will thrive in a home with a second playful dog. Samson is currently being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
