Story
Meet Gerty, a bold and charming adult cat with a heart as big as her personality. Gerty arrived weighing 23 pounds and is currently on a dedicated weight-loss journey, complete with a special diet and fun exercise routines like chasing her kibble and enjoying supervised hallway strolls. She’s making progress and taking it one step at a time. While Gerty may be a big girl, her personality is even bigger. She likes to take introductions at her own pace—offer her your hand so she can sniff and get to know you first. Once she trusts you, Gerty transforms into a total lovebug, happily shadowing her favorite people. When she’s comfortable, she eagerly greets staff at the gate and enjoys being close to those she loves. Gerty is accustomed to being the only pet and would thrive as a single cat or possibly with another calm, easygoing feline companion. Due to her current size, she needs a little extra help with grooming and receives routine “butt baths” to keep her comfortable while she continues her weight-loss journey. To best support Gerty and her adopters, she will go home in a foster-to-adopt placement, allowing us to continue assisting with her weight management before finalizing the adoption. We are seeking a committed forever home where Gerty can continue to slim down, blossom, and enjoy life with the family who will love her for years to come.

Beneath all that spirited fun is the most loving little lady, always ready to curl up close, press her warm nose against you, and purr as if she’s telling you that you’re her favorite person in the whole world. She’ll gently nuzzle your hand, blink up at you with complete trust, and remind you that earning her love was worth every patient moment. Once you’re in Eve’s heart, you’re there forever. She is patiently waiting to find a loving, permanent home where she can share her gentle spirit and playful heart for a lifetime.

Marty is the sweetest little kitty you’ll ever meet, and his absolute favorite thing in the whole world is love. This affectionate boy is always ready to curl up in your lap, nuzzle into your chest, and soak up every bit of attention you have to give. The second you start petting him, his eyes get soft, his purr motor starts rumbling, and he leans in like he never wants the moment to end. When he’s especially happy, he makes the cutest little air biscuits with his tiny paws, kneading the air like he’s baking up a batch of love just for you. It's impossibly adorable and guaranteed to melt your heart. Marty also has such a fun, playful side. He’ll chase after toys with pure joy, do the silliest little hops and zoomies, and then trot right back over for more cuddles like your arms are his favorite place in the world. He has the perfect balance of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. All he’s looking for now is his forever home, a family who will shower him with affection, With Marty around, every day will be filled with purrs, cuddles, and the cutest little air biscuits you’ve ever seen.
