Big Rhonda has made incredible progress since arriving at the shelter! At first, she found the environment overwhelming and spent most of her time curled up in her bed, quietly observing the world around her. She eventually started to gain confidence began stepping out of her cozy hideaway to seek out gentle pets and attention. Now, she is absolutely thriving in her foster home! It has been so rewarding to see her sweet, loving personality start to shine through when she feels safe and comfortable. Her foster family reports that she is an absolute sweet and loving girl. Will take as many pets as you're willing to give and then meow for more. LOVES to be brushed and will even brush herself by rubbing her face against the brush if left out. Even though she is a little older, Rhonda still enjoys a good play session and will jump and run around like she's still young. Rhonda just needs a patient home that understands it takes her a little time to get used to new people and places. With a time, love, and a calm environment, we know this shy girl is sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion the way she has in her foster home. Has a suspected autoimmune disorder that may require occasional steroid injections. However, it tends to mostly be triggered by stress and she has not had any flare ups since going to foster care.
