Story
Meet Magical Department of Complaints — but you can call her Magic. This tiny‑but‑mighty 6‑year‑old black cat came to us after deciding she was not a fan of the toddler in her previous home. Magic is a cat who knows exactly what she wants, and she’s not afraid to communicate it.She loves giving head‑butts and soaking up affection, but she can get overwhelmed if the attention goes on too long. The great thing is she’s very clear and polite about her boundaries. First, she’ll offer a gentle hiss to say, “That’s enough for now.” If you ignore her warning, she may follow up with a light smack to make her point. She’s not mean — she’s just honest and expressive.Magic hasn’t shown any negative reactions to other cats here, and she’s still pending her official dog test. Because she prefers a calmer environment and communicates with a bit of sass, she would do best in a home with kids 12 and up who can respect her signals. If you’re looking for a confident, quirky, and charming companion with a big personality packed into a tiny frame, Magic might be the perfect match for you.Magic's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. Story
Meet Chun‑Li! This adorable 2‑year‑old girl has one signature move: the rollover. If you’re wondering why she never seems to look at the camera in her photos, it’s because she’s too busy flopping over for pets and showing off her best moves. She’s a total sweetheart who loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it.Chun‑Li is ready to find her forever family and roll right into someone’s heart. She would do best as the only cat in the home, as she didn’t get along with the resident cat in her previous household. However, she has lived happily with small and large dogs, as well as kids, and did great with them.If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s always ready for snuggles and silliness, Chun‑Li might just be your girl. She’s ready to tumble her way into a new life filled with love.Chun-Li's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
Meet Big Jet Big Jet may only be three months old, but he’s already navigating a world that feels much bigger and louder than he ever expected. We won’t sugarcoat it—Big Jet is a very shy kitten. And honestly, can you blame him? Imagine being so tiny, suddenly finding yourself in a busy shelter where the only familiar face is your brother. It’s a lot for any baby to handle.Every day, we spend quiet, gentle time with Big Jet, helping him learn that people can be safe and kind. He’s making slow but meaningful progress. He’ll eat treats while you’re nearby, though he’s not quite brave enough to take them from your hand yet. These baby steps matter, and he’s taking them at his own pace.Because of how scared he still is, Big Jet will need a home that understands patience and the beauty of small victories. He must go home with another confident cat, a calm dog, or older kids who are looking for a summer project that truly changes an animal’s life. With the right family, Big Jet has every chance to blossom into the loving, trusting companion we know he can be.If you believe in gentle encouragement, quiet moments, and the magic of watching a shy kitten come out of his shell, Big Jet is waiting for you.Big Jet's adoption fee is $75, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.
