Sable is a shorthaired, elegant lady with beautiful tortoiseshell markings. She is very sensitive and shy at first, she needs patience and support for her full personality to bloom which is very calm and gentle. Once it does, she will show you just how social and loving she really is, because she absolutely loves the company of her trusted human companions and coexists well with feline friends as well. Understanding and respecting her boundaries and autonomy will go a long way toward building your relationship with her. While she may hide when you first enter a room, soon she will come out of her shell and start seeking you out for pets and cuddles and won't be able to get enough. She also likes eating yummy treats and foods, and will show you gratitude in spades in exchange for some attention and affection or just to have a window to sit in and watch the world go by. She would do well in a home with other cats, older children, and we are unsure how she would take to living with a dog at this time.
