Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.GEM hails from Dryden and is mum to the Gemette’s Litter (Tiger Eye, Zircon and Amethyst)   who came south to find their loving families. She’s spayed, vaccinated including her rabies shot, microchipped, had Revolution plus she’s been deemed a healthy girl by the vet. She was just a baby having babies but she was a very caring mumma to her kittens so after doing her duty, it’s now her time to find that perfect family to settle in with. She’s very much a Torti and is loving, loyal and will knead on your leg while purring contentedly. Her favourite place to sit is on the window ledge and she can watch the wildlife outside. She loves to run around and chase the little kitty balls around plus pounce on the little kitty stuffies. GEM is litter box trained and has been since first coming into foster care. She’s very meticulous and is constantly grooming herself. She kept her babies very clean too and was always giving them a good wash down and making sure they were sparkling clean. She’ll lay in the hammock that’s in a the catio and have her naps in it. She enjoys both kibble and wet food but her favourite thing for snacking on is Temptations treats and she always has a couple at bedtime too.   GEM’s fostered with puppies and it did take her sometime to warm up to them as she was very defensive of her kittens. She’s yet to be caught snuggling next to a puppy though and the odd time she’ll still hiss at them. The funny thing is that when they’re sleeping she’ll stealthily walk by them while staring at them as if to check them out. Seeing as she used to being around puppies she should do well with a dog in the home but they should be cat savvy and we recommend a slow, monitored introduction while the dog is kept leashed. She’s socialized with cats as she has 2 in her foster home and they do live in harmony but not quite at the snuggling up together stage yet. Saying that, she’s still with her kitten Amethyst who’s her “twin” and they’re always snuggling up together in a dog bed and the pair of them will play, chase and groom each other. She can be the only cat in the home as long as she isn’t left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6yrs plus be loving, caring and considerate to animals. If GEM sounds like the perfect fit for you and your family then please submit an adoption application to meet her. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 15, 2025, 11:54 am

Story
Three year old Kevin is a special dude who's looking for an equally special home - If you love cats that are full of personality, mischief, and have a sweet n' sassy attitude, Kevin wants to get to know you! Kevin originally became a member of the Furry Friends Family after he was surrendered at our door. Although he was just a baby at the time, he was extremely frightened of everything around him and just had no idea how to exist without that paralyzing fear. We quickly discovered that hands, feet, and raised voices in particular terrified him, and in order to protect himself from these perceived threats, Kevin would bite and scratch to keep humans away. This reaction was of no fault of Kevin's own, something that clearly scared him right to his very core before we met him. It has taken almost three years to heal from his trauma, but Kevin has made absolutely incredible progress with the help of our volunteers and vets - Nowadays Kevin is a true kitty King in every sense of the word, and he continues to grow and learn every day! With an incredibly intelligent personality, Kevin likes to live life with a 'my way or the highway' mindset - He loves to push his boundaries and see just how much mischief he can get away with, which means that he needs an experienced adopter who can handle his antics! With gentle but firm guidance, Kevin knows how to be a perfectly good boy, even if he pretends not to sometimes. Playful, energetic, and an unapologetic couch potato once he works all of that energy off, Kevin loves to leap from cat tree to window ledge and back again. He has learned just recently that being brushed is GREAT, and he appreciates a well placed scratch on the head and shoulders. You will often find him melting in the sun, and he has even discovered that sleeping in a lap is amazing. Kevin can still become startled and momentarily revert back to the frightened kitten he used to be, and sometimes he will bite or scratch when he feels unsafe. He just needs a calm and steady human who is going to love him through his fears, and still be there on the other side for him. Kevin is looking for a home with no cats, no dogs, and no children. He would greatly benefit from an experienced adopter who is ready to go toe to toe with King Kevin's bodacious personality, and all of the wonderful quirks that come with a cat like him. He is also on a daily medication in order to help manage is anxiety, which he eats in his food like a champ. Kevin has come a long way on his healing journey, and with your help, he's only going to get better and better!

Story
🌙 Meet Nicks - The White Witch of Whiskers 🌙 Say hello to Nicks, a stunning tortoiseshell cat with a whole lot of attitude and an energy that's pure Stevie Nicks - confident, mysterious, and undeniably captivating. With her piercing gaze, bold personality, and an air of enchantment, Nicks isn't just a cat-she's a vibe. Much like her namesake, Nicks moves through life with grace and independence. She's got that rare mix of sass and sweetness: she'll happily curl up in your lap one moment, then strut away like the rockstar she is the next. Her presence fills a room, not with noise, but with quiet power and a touch of magic. Nicks is the kind of cat who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to demand it-whether it's chin scratches, a patch of sun, or the best spot on the couch. She doesn't need to be the center of attention to rule the room, but let's be real-she usually is. She'll bond with someone who respects her independence, admires her strength, and doesn't mind living with a little feline witchcraft. If you've been waiting for a cat with soul, style, and just the right amount of drama, Nicks may be your familiar in disguise. Come meet her and see if she casts a spell on you.Nicks is staying at 91 Patterson Rd in Barrie.
