Story
Meet Starfish — a beautiful 3-year-old grey tabby and white lady with a gentle spirit and a thoughtful, observant nature. Starfish is on the shy side and prefers to take her time getting comfortable in new spaces, often choosing a cozy hiding spot where she can quietly watch the world go by. Once she feels safe, Starfish will start to show her sweet side. She’s happy to come out for calm company and enjoys gentle, respectful pets from people she trusts. Those quiet moments of connection are where she truly shines — soft, subtle, and sincere. Starfish is not yet comfortable with being handled extensively, and she can find medical procedures stressful. She’ll need a patient home that understands this and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust at her own pace, without pressure or expectation. With kindness, consistency, and respect for her boundaries, Starfish has every chance to blossom into a deeply rewarding companion. She’s looking for a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe enough to slowly come out of her shell and be loved exactly as she is. Story
Meet Flounder — a 2–3-year-old former street survivor with the face of a prizefighter and the heart of a shy little poet. This handsome guy looks like he’s spent the last several months doing twelve rounds in back alleys and surviving on grit alone. Think Rocky Balboa in cat form: rough around the edges, a little weathered, and carrying the unmistakable look of someone who’s seen some things. Life on the streets clearly wasn’t easy for Flounder, and he wears that history in his scruffy, tough-guy appearance. But unlike Rocky, Flounder isn’t charging confidently into the spotlight. Underneath that rugged exterior is a nervous, gentle soul who likely survived by staying hidden — skulking in corners, keeping to the shadows, and only venturing out when the world felt safe enough. He’s cautious with people and still learning that he no longer has to fend for himself. And then there’s his meow. For such a rough-and-tumble-looking fellow, Flounder has the tiniest, meekest little mew imaginable — like he’s politely apologizing for taking up space. It’s impossible not to root for him. Flounder doesn’t need much: just a calm home, a patient person, and the chance to finally trade survival mode for soft blankets and regular meals. He may take time to trust, but with kindness and understanding, we think this former street cat is more than ready to discover the joys of being a pampered housecat. Every tough guy deserves a happy ending. Flounder’s just hoping his starts with you. Story
At just 2 years old, Indigo has already lived enough adventure for at least nine lifetimes. When he arrived as a stray, he was sporting a serious facial wound, a few battle scars on his legs, and an expression that said, "Yeah, it's been a week." After surgery and a drain that gave him a distinctly Frankenstein-esque look, Indigo looked less like a cat and more like the final boss in a post-apocalyptic feline video game. We may never know exactly what happened out there. Perhaps he crossed the wrong alley. Perhaps he owed treats to the wrong crowd. Perhaps he was an unwilling participant in an underground feline fight club where the prize was half a sandwich and bragging rights. What we do know is this: Indigo never stopped being an absolute gentleman. Beneath the rough-and-tumble exterior is a cat so sweet, quiet, and gentle that it's honestly a little shocking. While other cats may dream of world domination, Indigo's ambitions are refreshingly modest. He wants a warm bed. He wants regular meals that don't require scavenging through back alleys or defeating a rival tomcat in hand-to-paw combat. He wants a sunny window, a peaceful nap, and maybe a human who tells him he's handsome (because he is). Indigo is well-mannered, easygoing, and grateful for every comfort that comes his way. It's as though he's spent his life surviving and has finally decided that thriving sounds much more appealing. Think of him as the classic ugly duckling story. Except the duckling is a slightly battered cat with a healing face and a heart of gold. The scars will fade, his fur will grow back, and what will remain is exactly what was there all along: a truly lovely soul. If you're looking for a cat who's overcome the odds without losing his kindness, Indigo is ready to retire from street life and begin his next chapter as someone's cherished companion. No more alleyway drama. No more fight clubs. Just naps, snacks, and the happy ending he's earned.
