Story
DOB: Sept 2, 2023 Wayne is a playful, food-motivated guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for toys. Ping-pong balls, springs, anything he can bat across the floor — Wayne is all in. He’s curious, active, and always ready to turn everyday objects into a game. Wayne is currently on an exclusive urinary diet due to a history of urinary crystals, and he’s doing well on it. His future home will need to be committed to keeping him strictly on this diet to support his long-term health — thankfully, Wayne makes this easy, because he loves his food. He prefers to be the only cat in the home, as he doesn’t enjoy sharing his space with other cats. In the right environment, where he can be the centre of attention, Wayne truly shines. If you’re looking for an entertaining, toy-loving companion who will keep you smiling and happily supervise mealtimes, Wayne might just be your perfect match.

Story
Bella found her way into the garage of one of our volunteers at around 5 weeks old. She is a vocal gal who loves to yell for attention and snuggles. She's playful, enjoys chasing and wrestling with her foster kitty friends. She loves kisses and cuddles and sleeping in your arms and is always purring. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Ginny is a very smart girl. She was the last of siblings to be born, but the first at everything else. She was the first to eat solid food, use the litter pan, climb out of their enclosure, plus many other things. She loves to run and play with her siblings, but is often content to cuddle on her foster grandma's lap and just watch. She has never met a child or dog, but would be fine with proper introductions. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. Wasabi is one of many kittens who began his life outdoors, without human touch. He's now a sweet little guy who has changed his spicy ways! He loves cuddles with his foster momma, belly rubs and chin scratches. Chasing crinkle balls and wand toys are favorites! He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and has been neutered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Story
Mittens is an eight-year-old friendly gal who’s easy to handle and easy to adore. She’s a bigger girl with a plush figure, and while she’s perfectly content just the way she is, she could benefit from a gentle weight-loss journey to help her feel her best. Because Mittens is currently a little extra fluffy, she sometimes struggles to reach certain, shall we say… hard-to-access areas during grooming. Her arms are simply not long enough for the job she’s trying to do back there. As a result, she may need a helping hand from her humans now and then to keep everything tidy and comfortable — she promises to be very appreciative (and probably a little embarrassed). Mittens is a quiet, calm kitty who doesn’t ask for much. Her favorite place is right beside you, warming the couch, the chair, or the bed while keeping you company with her peaceful presence. She’s not demanding or high-energy — just a gentle soul who enjoys closeness and a relaxed home. If you’re looking for a mellow companion who will happily share your space, accept your affection, and maybe even let you help her with a little self-care along the way, Mittens might just be your perfect match. Meet Mittens at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek.

Story
Tuxi is a young adult beauty with classic black-and-white markings and the daintiest little paws you’ve ever seen—her name is a soft twist on “tuxedo,” and it fits her perfectly. In new or scary situations, she may pause to take it all in, but give her just a moment and she blossoms. Seconds later, she’s bouncing on her itty-bitty feet like she’s dancing, dressed to the nines and ready to charm you. Curious, sweet, and affectionate, Tuxi loves rubbing up for attention and soaking in companionship. She has a gentle heart and a playful spark that makes everyday moments feel special. Once she feels safe, she’s a loyal little shadow and an absolute joy to be around—a perfect companion for someone who appreciates a tender soul with a touch of flair. Tuxi is ready to dance her way into your heart. Meet her at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek. *Please note: we only adopt within Ontario

Story
This is Mr. Rogers, a 3-year-old gentleman who was well known in the neighborhood — and not because he borrowed sugar politely. Our guy has clearly been hosting the after-dark block parties of the feline world and has the résumé (and battle scars) to prove it. When Mr. Rogers arrived, he was looking a little… post-apocalyptic chic. He had a few street-earned souvenirs—scrapes and cuts here and there—and thanks to some necessary vet care, he’s now sporting a velvety, choppy, avant-garde haircut that says “I didn’t choose this style, this style chose me.” His wounds are healing nicely, but his look currently falls somewhere between tough guy and modern art exhibit. And yes — let’s address the neighborhood gossip. Mr. Rogers previously carried the unmistakable Eau de Tomcat, an aroma that boldly announced, “I have seen things.” Good news: he’s now neutered, the issue has been solved, and while there may be a faint lingering memory in the air, it’s nothing time, love, and a cozy couch won’t fix. (Think: “ghost of masculinity past.”) Despite his rough-and-tumble backstory, Mr. Rogers is shockingly friendly, affectionate, and ready to trade street life for soft blankets and a regular feeding schedule. He’s eager to settle into indoor life, though there may be a few adjustments as he learns that hands are for petting, not boxing, and that neighbors no longer require intimidation. Under the clipped fur, healing scabs, and slightly questionable scent history is a total sweetheart who’s ready to become the Fred Rogers of your living room—minus the cardigan, plus whiskers. If you’re looking for a cat with character, comedy, and a redemption arc worthy of public television, Mr. Rogers would love to be your neighbor. Please complete an adoption application: https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. This allows our Adoption Staff to spend quality time with each potential home to ensure the most successful matches are made between the animals and their new families. **Please note: we only adopt within Ontario.
