Story
DOB: Sept 2, 2023 Wayne is a playful, food-motivated guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for toys. Ping-pong balls, springs, anything he can bat across the floor — Wayne is all in. He’s curious, active, and always ready to turn everyday objects into a game. Wayne is currently on an exclusive urinary diet due to a history of urinary crystals, and he’s doing well on it. His future home will need to be committed to keeping him strictly on this diet to support his long-term health — thankfully, Wayne makes this easy, because he loves his food. He prefers to be the only cat in the home, as he doesn’t enjoy sharing his space with other cats. In the right environment, where he can be the centre of attention, Wayne truly shines. If you’re looking for an entertaining, toy-loving companion who will keep you smiling and happily supervise mealtimes, Wayne might just be your perfect match.

Story
5 Years old Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Toby is a very cute cat who loves to lounge in the sun. He takes time to open up to new households and new people but once he does he is very affectionate. He loves to knock around and play with fast moving targets, especially a paper ball. He doesn't like being handled or picked up too much, he much prefers to be handled on his own terms. Most of his day is spent sleeping, grooming and chasing around paper balls. He also inexplicably loves to rub himself on the hallway rug. As to his behaviour with others, not sure if he is good with children and other cats or dogs since he has only always lived in a one person, no pets household his entire life. He warms up to others after some initial trepidation, but once he does, he is a gem. He has lived in apartments but loves to walk out in the hallway and explore. He is litter trained and is used to apartment living. Has a bit of separation anxiety in that he becomes very clingy once you are back from a trip. Tends to eventually follow you into whichever room in the house you are currently situated in and curl up there. Toby is up-to-date on vaccines. Toby is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Muhammad Daniyal Ali, via email at daniyal.ali96@hotmail.com or WhatsApp: 647-705-9986 - Thank you!

Story
DOB: April 24, 2025 H.R. is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. H.R. is an active, gentle, and playful kitten with a curious nature. He enjoys playing with his brother Nash, other cats, and people, and is also content entertaining himself. While sudden or unfamiliar noises can startle him briefly, he recovers quickly and carries on with confidence. His favorite toys include plastic springs, feather wands, and even a sewing measuring tape. H.R. is a very friendly boy. Although he did not show strong lap cat behavior while in foster care, he is easy to pick up and has a wonderfully easy going temperament. H.R. has excellent litter box habits and accepts nail trims without any trouble. He would be thrilled to be adopted with his brother Nash, or into a home with another friendly cat.

She's playful, enjoys chasing and wrestling with her foster kitty friends. She loves kisses and cuddles and sleeping in your arms and is always purring. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. Story
Meet Lexi! 3 yrs Spayed/Female Lexi is a cat's cat, and her future hangs in the balance of being able to connect with a compassionate and caring pet owner who can love a cat for the sake of that cat, not for what they get in return from that cat. Lexi was born and raised among a colony of community cats, she was incredibly difficult to catch with efforts spanning more than 10 months as she diligently worked to evade even the most skilled of trappers before she was finally secured, pregnant, and ready to begin adding her own little ones to the overpopulation crisis. Thankfully, Lexi was secured before she could give birth, and her babies never had to experience the harsh reality of being born on the street. Lexi was spayed, and she has been in foster care for well over a year, but Lexi is still a cat's cat, and she has very little use for humans beyond being grateful that they can ensure her comfort and a full tummy. Will Lexi meet you at the door after a long day at work? No. Will Lexi sit up on your lap? Nope. Does Lexi like cuddles? No thanks! Does Lexi love to be petted and show her appreciation with purrs? Also no! Will Lexi sleep up in the bed with you? Not a chance. Will Lexi leap around playing with toys with you? Not going to happen. Will Lexi sit up on the couch with you? Probably not. What WILL Lexi do or offer?? Honestly? Not a lot in terms of what she will give back, or show, but she will faithfully use a litter box, she will happily eat canned and dry food and she may even meow/chatter at you at meal times, and allow a head pet or couple of quick strokes (only at meal times, thank you kindly), she will use a scratching post, and she wont try to dart out your front door every time you come and go. And she is a really great hunter should you happen to have a mouse! And that's about it. Lexi is a good friend to other cats. She settles in really well with another mellow and relaxed cat, she seems to really like the boys to pal and chum around with, and she can make a comforting presence for another cat who would like a buddy who wont try to steal the limelight or try to hog any of the love and affection, but who will just hang around, being there, to watch, cuddle up beside, and hang out with. There is a great chance that Lexi will never become any more open or affectionate. She will probably never be a lap cat, will probably never want to be picked up or held, she will never be able to give what many people are looking for when they adopt a cat - but Lexi still needs to be loved, she still needs a Forever Home, where she can be free to be herself, do her thing and thrive, despite not offering the love, cuddles and sweetness that most people are looking for in a furry family member. Lexi needs someone special to take notice of her, to see her worth despite her aloof and independent nature, and who will offer her a truly unconditional love, that means sharing a home, a life and a love that does not meet the traditional expectations of pet ownership. Lexi can consider a safe barn or shop cat post, where she will be kept safe, well fed and cared for, or would be happy to be a house cat who is simply left to do her thing as she chooses with no expectation of her changing to suit the needs of her humans while they change their focus to accept and love her for who she is. Lexi is fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, she is microchipped has been treated for routine parasites and is is great health, she has fantastic litter box habits and is a neat and tidy little room-mate who likes to keep herself to herself and is in no rush to change that. ADOPTION FEES WILL BE WAIVED FOR A SUITABLE ADOPTER. Please submit an adoption application for Lexi today at http://priderescue.ca/

Story
Meet Walter! 1 1/2 yrs Neutered/Male A handsome soul who found himself abandoned and trying to survive on the street, Walter was very scared when he entered the rescue, and has come a long way, blossoming into a warm and affectionate young cat who is great with other cat companions. Looking for a mature, adult home, without dogs, Walter will need a little time to adjust and adapt at his own pace. A cat who will by timid and skittish at first, Walter will need a little time and gentleness as he gets the lay of the land, adjusting to the new place and new people, but given the patience and support he needs to become familiar with new things, he quickly warms into a really very lovely cat. Walter thrives in a quiet setting, and once comfortable is a chatty cat who answers when spoken to, and he openly asks for love and affection from his people. Not one of being picked up or held, in time, Walter enjoys close cuddles and lap time, but will need to develop a trusting bond with his new before before he fully comes out of his shell. Playful and curious, and a lover of high perches to laze around and nap, this beautiful boy is a sweetheart, with so much potential. Ready and waiting to love and be loved, Walter is looking forward to meeting his purrfect Forever Family! Story
Meet Marsha! 2 yrs Spayed/Female A sweet and demure lady-cat with a soft, gentle nature, Marsha is looking for a loving family who will pamper and spoil her after having lived most of her life as a street cat. So grateful for love and kindness, Marsha is a little shy to start, but given some extra love and patience, she quickly blossoms into quite a little lap cat who is so eager to love and be loved. Quiet and sweet, good with another mild mannered and calm cat, or on her own, Marsha wants so much to be loved. Estimated at around 2 years old, Marsha is still just a young lady, and she is a big fan of cat nip toys and bouncy foam balls which she loves to romp around with. A lover of cubby-like cat beds, soft fleece blankets and warm sunbeams, she is a gentle soul who shines with gratitude. Ideal for a more mature family or adult home, Marsha loves the quiet times, couch cuddles, bed naps and tasty treats and she can't wait to devote all her love and cuddles to the family who welcomes her Home! Marsha has been fully vetted and vaccinated, parasite treated and has been spayed and she is ready to find her purrfect Forever Family! An adoption fee of $250 applies.
