Story
Deere is the other half of the infamous John and Deere duo. Deere is a sweet and affectionate spayed female approximately 7 years old. She is the least adventurous of the two and prefers to spend most of her days and nights cuddled up with her favourite people, or sister-cat. She likes to go outside but doesn’t seem to roam as far as John does. Both John and Deere were raised in a home with a dog who they trust and are very comfortable around her. However, they are more fearful around unknown dogs so it may take a bit of time to warm up to them. John and Deere are the sweetest little pair and everyone comments on what great cats they are. They are more dog-like than typical cats. They love following you around and are always nearby. John and Deere would need a loving home that could take both of them and enjoy these exceptional well-behaved adult cats.

Story
John is one half of the duo John and Deere. John, tho given a male name is indeed a spayed female. Due to allergies, we need to rehome our sweet John and Deere. We rescued them at approximately 1 year of age where they were spayed and given all their shots. We’ve maintained all their shots and health since then. John is the more adventurous of the duo and is an avid and successful hunter. She enjoys both roaming free outside hunting or basking in the sun and the comforts of a soft, cozy warm spot in the house. She is sweet and gentle and is easy to handle and has been nothing but the most perfect little cat. She is approximately 7 years old and is in great health. She is closely attached to her sister Deere and would they therefore would need to stay together. John and Deere would likely do best in a home with a bit of outdoor space where they are able to roam relatively safely, and would be welcome back to relax indoors.

Story
DOB: Sept 2, 2023 Wayne is a playful, food-motivated guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for toys. Ping-pong balls, springs, anything he can bat across the floor — Wayne is all in. He’s curious, active, and always ready to turn everyday objects into a game. Wayne is currently on an exclusive urinary diet due to a history of urinary crystals, and he’s doing well on it. His future home will need to be committed to keeping him strictly on this diet to support his long-term health — thankfully, Wayne makes this easy, because he loves his food. He prefers to be the only cat in the home, as he doesn’t enjoy sharing his space with other cats. In the right environment, where he can be the centre of attention, Wayne truly shines. If you’re looking for an entertaining, toy-loving companion who will keep you smiling and happily supervise mealtimes, Wayne might just be your perfect match.

Story
At eight years old, Taffy has perfected the art of being shaped like a very elegant ottoman. Plush, round, and delightfully substantial, she’s what one might politely call curvy…generously upholstered…magnificently plush. The truth is, Taffy carries a little more fluff than is comfortable, which means grooming herself can be tricky. She may need a patient human who can help her with the things she can’t quite reach. Life hasn’t been very steady for Taffy lately. She’s been moved around more than a cat ever should, and it’s left her feeling a bit unsure about the world. When hands come toward her too quickly, she sometimes responds with a small hiss or a grumbly complaint — her way of saying, “Please go slowly with me.” Underneath that cautious exterior is a cat who simply hasn’t had the chance to feel safe for a while. Taffy isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for patience. She’ll do best with someone who understands that trust takes time, especially for a sensitive soul who has had her routine turned upside down. She may not be the kind of cat who enjoys being scooped up and fussed over right away. But give her a calm home, gentle voices, and the space to settle in, and she’ll show you the quieter kinds of affection — sitting nearby, keeping you company, and slowly letting her guard down. Because of her size, Taffy may benefit from a gradual wellness plan — a little help with grooming, a thoughtful diet, and encouragement to move at her own pace. Nothing extreme. Just small, loving steps toward feeling better. What Taffy really needs is someone who sees past the hisses, past the extra fluff, and recognizes a cat who has been through a lot and still has so much heart left to give. If you have a warm home, a gentle approach, and a soft spot for a slightly grumbly, magnificently plush companion…Taffy might just be waiting for you. Story
Meet Honda – the smoothest ride you’ll ever take home!! (case #8729) At 5 years old, this handsome little hatchback of a cat is fully broken in, road-tested, and ready to run his motor straight over to his forever home. Turn the key (aka open a can of food) and you’ll hear that steady purr engine fire right up. Honda is the total “boy next door” model — friendly, dependable, and easy to love. No high-maintenance sports car drama here! He’s built for comfort, companionship, and long-lasting loyalty. Safe around the house, reliable with his manners, and smooth in every interaction, he’s the kind of cat you can count on for years of happy miles. When Honda first pulled into the shelter garage, he had a bit of a rough start thanks to a flea infestation, so he’s still sporting a few patchy spots. Think of it as cosmetic wear from a previous owner — his fur is already tuning itself up and will grow back in beautifully. Under the hood (and under the fluff), he’s in great shape and ready for the open road of home life. Honda is also FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, meaning Honda may need a little extra care to stay healthy. The good news is that many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, completely normal lives with proper care. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds between cats, so it’s not easily transmitted through casual contact like sharing bowls, grooming, or lounging together. Because of this, FIV-positive cats can often live peacefully with other friendly cats, and they thrive best as indoor companions where they can stay safe and healthy. If you’re looking for a safe, reliable, well-loved companion who will cruise by your side through every season, Honda is ready to pull into your driveway and stay parked in your heart forever. Story
Will the luck of the Irish be with you when you meet Cashel? This handsome 2-year-old gentleman might not make a grand entrance—but that’s part of his charm. Cashel is the kind of cat you might not notice right away. Quiet, polite, and perfectly well-mannered, he’s happy to simply share your space and keep you company. He’s not one to beg for attention or demand the spotlight. Instead, he’ll gently become part of your daily life—like a calm, comforting presence that makes a house feel like home. But don’t mistake his quiet nature for shyness. Cashel is a friendly fellow who enjoys people and appreciates a good chin scratch when the moment is right. His calm confidence and thoughtful personality give him an air of quiet strength—fitting for a cat whose name carries a bit of Irish heritage. In many ways, Cashel represents the timeless spirit of cat culture: independent yet affectionate, dignified yet warm. He’s the kind of companion who reminds you that sometimes the most meaningful friendships are the ones that grow slowly and naturally. If you’re hoping for a loyal companion with a gentle soul, maybe a little Irish luck will lead you straight to Cashel. Come meet Cashel—you might just find your perfect match waiting quietly for you. Cashel is at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek. **Please note: we only adopt within Ontario.
