Story
Kate has quite a story.  In 2015, Kate was part of an at-risk feral colony.  She and five others were humanely trapped.  They were hissy, lunged and wanted nothing to do with humans.  In time, however, each found loving, forever homes.  Kate was the last to tame.  But 2018, she was adopted.  While her home was loving, it wasn't forever.  The woman who adopted her developed health issues. In 2022, Katie was back at the shelter.  It's been five years since Katie's shelter days.  She has gained some weight but still has her very expressive, big, round eyes.  Now she likes to be petted for short periods of time. She'll even gives head bumps!  She always liked other cats and still does.  Her favorite things are eating, playing laser light and looking out the window.  We can't guarantee that Katie will ever be a lap cat, but we can promise she'll be a great companion and appreciate every day in her forever home. In 2015, we promised that group of feral cats that we would find them loving, forever homes.   Please help us keep that promise to Katie!  Maybe you're the one who can make Katie's wish come true! When you get a phone call regarding cats being thrown out by a neighbor because they are females and in heat- we spring into action! Three female "kittens (7 months) were released out into a neighborhood in the West End of Washington... we named them the "West End Story kitties (a take off on West Side Story) Maria- the sweet kitty; Anita- the passionate kitty and Rosita- the saucy kitty!Anita is a very sweet kitty who is passionate about loving her hoo-man! She is content rubbing against your hand, giving head butts and sitting on your lap so you can pet her. She is good with other cats, not having any issue with dogs and is happy all the time! What the power of love and compassion can do... Baby Boy, his sister Baby Girl, and Mom were brought to Pet Search in August of 2018. They were being cared for by a family in Brownsville who were cited for caring for outside cats. Pet Search took all 3, who were semi-feral, and worked with them to overcome fear and people. Baby Boy and Baby Girl are both sweet and friendly and ready adoption; Mom is almost ready. Baby Boy is good with both dogs and cats and would do better in a home with at least one other cat.
