You’ll often find her curled up at the foot of the bed with the other cats, or quietly watching playtime unfold before joining in for a gentle game of chase. She’s not a lap cat, but she’ll rest nearby during peaceful moments, content in quiet company. She may never be a snuggler, but with patience and love, she could blossom in her own time. Chanterelle does wonderfully with the resident dogs and coexists peacefully with calm kids—she simply prefers to keep her distance and observe from a safe spot. She enjoys company and connection, just without a lot of chaos. Because she has a low tolerance for boundary-pushing, she likely wouldn’t be a good fit for young children—but she’d be wonderful for an adult or older teen who understands and respects feline cues.
