Story
Meet Oracle, a loving little soul with a journey that showcases her resilience and spirit! When she first arrived, Oracle was a shy kitty battling an infection and adjusting to her new surroundings. With a little extra time and lots of love, she blossomed into a curious and playful companion. Despite her initial progress, Oracle faced challenges with anxiety that led her to bite and lick herself. To help her heal, she spent some time in a cone-though she was quite the escape artist at first! After some dedicated one-on-one time and patience, she's learned to accept the cone, and I often find her comfortably lounging in it, ready for playtime or cuddles. Oracle takes daily medication to help manage her anxiety. After some trial and error, we've found a foolproof method for her to take it-she happily eats it mixed with her favorite Sheba wet food, topped off with Feline Greenies dental treats. With a steady diet of wet and dry food, she's thriving and full of energy! This sweet girl adores my other two cats and became fast friends with them, showing her affectionate nature. Oracle's favorite napping spot is right on your lap, and she's always quick to join you the moment she hears the recliner go up. She loves to play, especially with toys she can carry around and that make noise, and you'll often find her favorite toys scattered throughout the house. Oracle is looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to thrive, surrounded by gentle hands and warm laps. If you're ready to open your heart to this delightful girl, Oracle is eager to share her love and playful spirit with you!

Story
Chipmunk’s journey has been full of ups and downs, but through it all, he’s proven just how resilient and loving he truly is. He first came to OCR as an unaltered male from a home enrolled in our Last Litter Program, where we spay or neuter mother cats at no cost in exchange for surrendering their kittens. This family had several intact cats, and we were glad to help get them all fixed. Shortly after Chipmunk and his companions were neutered, we received an urgent call from his family—Chipmunk had suffered a prolapsed rectum. Unable to afford the veterinary care he needed, they turned to us for help. Chipmunk was hospitalized for several days, placed on a special diet, and sent home with strict instructions for a wet food–only diet and no outdoor access. Sadly, a few months later, we learned his family had moved away, leaving Chipmunk outside to fend for himself. Without proper care, he suffered multiple severe prolapses. At that point, we made the decision to pursue corrective surgery—and we’re so happy to share that it was a success! Chipmunk has been healthy and issue-free for several months now and is finally ready to find his forever family. Chipmunk is a cheerful, affectionate boy who thrives on human connection. He loves curling up in your lap, snuggling at night, and being your constant companion. He’s playful and energetic, especially when chasing wand toys. While he’s fine with other cats, he hasn’t been exposed to dogs, so we’re not sure how he’d respond. Because he enjoys company so much, he would do best in a home where someone is around often. Medically, Chipmunk is in great shape! He’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, flea-treated, and dewormed. His only occasional need is a quick sanitary wipe after using the litter box.

🐾 Meet Finley — the Gentle Giant with the Sweetest Morning Routine Finley (Fin) is a 1.5-year-old soft-hearted boy with a shy nature, a tender spirit, and a quiet charm that wins you over slowly but completely. He’s the kind of cat who forms deep bonds once he feels safe, and every bit of trust he gives you feels like a gift. Fin has experience around cats, dogs, and kids. While he’s polite with everyone, he’s made it clear he would prefer a home without dogs—they’re just not his crowd. He doesn’t seek out other cats for attention, but he coexists peacefully with them. Fin is laid back by nature and not overly playful, though he’ll occasionally chase a feather toy when the mood strikes. His affection is on his terms, but when those moments come, they’re incredibly sweet. He loves curling up beside you on the couch or bed for short cuddle sessions. His cutest habit? His early morning love-fests. Fin adores following his person into the bathroom, hopping onto the counter, chatting softly, and asking for gentle pets while you get ready. It’s his special way of saying good morning. Fin will need time—real time—to settle into a new environment. He’s sensitive, thoughtful, and easily overwhelmed at first. But once he settles, he becomes a loyal, comforting presence in the home. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but he’s never rough; he just politely pushes away to get back to solid ground. Fin’s ideal home is a quiet, patient household that will let him unfold at his own pace. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle companion who will quietly steal your heart (and your bathroom counter each morning), Finley might be your perfect match. 🖤🐱

🐦 Meet Wren — the Biscuit Artisan of the Cat World! Wren is a 1.5-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul, a thoughtful nature, and the most determined biscuit-making skills you’ll ever see. He arrived a little shy, but once he feels safe, his confidence shines through—and so does his quirky, endearing personality. Wren has plenty of experience around other cats, kids, and respectful dogs. He’s pretty indifferent to pups, enjoys the calm presence of children, and while he can coexist with cats, he’s a bit socially awkward with them. His best feline companion is his buddy Fin, and the two get along beautifully. Most days, you’ll find Wren perched on a cat tree or gazing out a window, observing his kingdom from a cozy distance. He’s a laid-back boy who loves feathers on strings, ribbon toys, and the occasional snuggle session—when he chooses you, you’ll be rewarded with the best, most enthusiastic biscuits in town. He kneads like it’s his life’s mission. Wren does have a sensitive stomach, so keeping him on the same diet is important. He’s also particular about his litter box setup and currently prefers traditional boxes over automatic ones. He doesn’t mind being picked up, enjoys a calm environment, and would thrive in a quiet to moderately active home. Because he may struggle to adjust to established adult cats, his ideal home would be with Fin or as a solo cat. He can also do well in a home with a well-behaved dog. If you're looking for a gentle, quirky, biscuit-making king with tons of charm, Wren is your guy. 🐾
