Say hello to Stevie Nicks.Seven years old. Black as wet ink. Already named Stevie Nicks when she arrived here. Wow. A fantastic cat with absolutely no interest in pretending to be less interesting than she is.Stevie is wildly people-oriented.She wants proximity.A lap to stretch across.A nearby human to supervise with a not-always-soft conversation carried from room to room as she follows along behind you like a very committed program manager. She is affectionate, social, and wonderfully engaged with her humans. But will also occasionally issue corrective feedback with a quick “that is enough now” paw pop reminder delivered directly to an overenthusiastic hand. And if you are the broom and right beside her … well, all bets are off. She is not a fan. Honestly, we respect the clarity in her communication. She is not mean. She is not unpredictable. She is simply a cat with boundaries and the confidence to file respectful formal complaints when they are crossed. Stevie Nicks is looking for an adult-only home with no other cats ... a calm place where she can fully settle into her preferred role as a beloved lap companion, household shadow, and sometimes opinionated best friend. There is something deeply endearing about a cat who loves hard enough to express herself. And Stevie Nicks absolutely does.A Haiku for Stevie Nicks:Black cat on your lapThe weight of her love is strongNew best friend now homeNOTE: WE REQUIRE INDOOR ONLY CARE FOR OUR ADOPTIONS.
