Story
Wade, Weston and Warren are 15-week-old mixes of Plott Hound and Lab! They were found in the woods and a Good Samaritan rescued them and took them to safety. They weigh 9-14 puppy pounds now and should mature to around 45 pounds. These boys are so cuddly and so loving! They love being around people and other dogs, and even do well with cats! Wade wears a short red/brown and white coat while Weston and Warren wear short brown and white coats with a brindle pattern! These pups have great temperaments and are ready to be in their family’s arms! Won’t you adopt one of these precious babies? (ME, 2/16/24)     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  February 21, 2024, 10:49 pm

Story
John Boy is a 1 year old brindle boy with the cutest ears and white spotted chest and feet. He weighs 35 lbs right now and we think they may have Plott Hound/ Mountain Curr/ Lab/ and Cattle dog in them but it is hard to say other than that they are cute! John Boy showed up on a farm with his brother and sister and they fostered them until room opened up at the rescue. They are good around farm animals and have learned house and leash manners since being at the rescue. He is good with cats, kids and dogs. John Boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative, and dewormed! His adoption fee is $250.February 18, 2024, 11:45 pm

Story
Sure, you've heard it before. 'He's just the biggest baby.' But this is Neptune, and he is THE *biggest* baby! He is a slow-intros kindof a boy, because he needs a lot of babying and reassurance before he lets his true self shine. Then he becomes the king of goofy grins and silly sweetness. With his nice manners and housetraining, Neptune is all set to be your handsomest housemate (which is great, because being left outside alone gives this big baby the blues).  A quiet fellow, he lets his smile and his charm do his speaking for him. Once you are best buds, he'll even let you dress him like a baby doll (cuz he's such a  doll baby!).  He likes other dogs but is terrified of those untrustworthy cats.   ~  DOB:7/15/2020  ~  Intake weight: 53#  ~  Adoption details/application:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.html  February 19, 2024, 12:40 pm

Story
Draco may be the best Eeyore impersonator we've met! Those eyes tell of an old soul. His past life may not have given him much joy, but he now has a new chance at a better life! A low-energy and humble fellow, Draco is easy on a leash and loves to lean against his favorite people. No need to worry about silly puppy antics - he is a cool and calm customer. Draco likes the lady dogs, but wants to be the handsomest (only) boy in the home. So far, he hasn't shown an interest in toys or play. Like to watch the world go by? Watching is better with Draco by your side.   ~  All dogs will be spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter~  Est DOB:  Aug 2019 ~  Intake weight: 75# ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlFebruary 19, 2024, 12:40 pm
