Story
Mack is a big handsome 4 year old Catahoula mix!  He is as sweet and loving possible but he is big, 105 lbs BIG! Mack is extremely loyal and becomes attached to the people he interacts with often. He strives when given a routine with expectations for him to follow. Mack has had training from 2 separate places and knows basic commands such as, sit, down, place, and come all with an implied stay. He is completely house broken and crate trained, once he knows the home he is able to be left out of the crate even when home alone. Mack gets along with other dogs and loves to go to daycare to play. He does great on a leash. Mack is very energetic and requires regular training, playtime, and exercise. He loves mental stimulating games and activities such as lick mats and snuffle mats. Mack can be a bit mischievous when given the opportunity. Though he is energetic, Mack will never pass up the opportunity to snuggle up with anyone and loves to take naps. Mack LOVES car rides and going anywhere with you, especially the drive thru! He was originally found running down the highway years ago when he first came to the rescue. He was adopted by a wonderful couple that loved him dearly but after the birth of their newborn have had to make the heart wrenching decision to bring him back. While he is good with older kids (5 and older) he did not do well with the newborn, even with extensive training. They also ran his DNA and we have all of his ancestry info! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, on heartworm prevention, and is microchipped! His adoption fee is $250.July 18, 2024, 10:23 pm

Story
Meet our Catahoula mix babies of between 7 and 8 months.  All girls, they make a fine litter of happy and energetic puppies.  They love to play with each other as well as other dogs, kids, and even their foster’s cat.  These girls all wear short coats, but of different colors.  Sofia is gray with white; Sema is tan with white; Shalene is white with black (and a bit of tan) and Sadie is brown with white.  Some bear Catahoula markings while others’ faces are enchantingly wrinkled in Sharpei fashion.  Between 20 and 25 puppy pounds, they will each mature to about 60. What a delight these baby girls are!  (posted 2/3/24, TN) (age updated 6/19/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption/Transport:  $250.00July 25, 2024, 4:16 pm

Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Carter is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Carter (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Carter is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Story
Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 23, 2024, 11:58 am

Story
Bandito craves attention and human interaction. Very friendly and loves to put his head on your legs if you are sitting down. Bandito is a Merle Leopard Catahoula mix and has the softest, silkiest coat. He loves all humans and absolutely loves his ears petted. He would make a great companion for older children and has a large sized amount of energy. He loves long walks on the leash and would do best in a fenced in yard. He is 100% potty trained (letting him out the back door) and he is still learning the doggy door at the foster home. Bandito gets along very well with other dogs, cat friendly and loves to catch tennis balls. Bandito would do best with a furry companion in an active home. Bandito loves to wrestle withhis fellow furry friends at his foster home. He is extremely food (treat) motivated and is a fast learner. Bandito will make a great companion and loves car rides. Bandito will make a great, loving dog to someone who will match his energy!
