Open to other dogs especially those who are calm and thoughtful but she CAN be picky about other dogs.*Foster report- Excellent in the home. House broken. Great on the leash and super in meeting everyone. Better suited with older kids. *Second Foster home- great with the resident cat!Tall, lean and most leggy. Beautiful too!! Introducing our prettiest of pretty girls FLO!! Flo will have you at `Hello.` Our super friendly, appealing and most welcoming girl is eager to meet you. Found as a stray, we`re shaking our heads wondering how/why no one has come for our very dark brown beauty but perhaps the plan all along was for her to add to your life. Flo loves being near her person so be forewarned that when you take a seat, at a minimum her paws are in your lap. Might her whole body fit in your lap? Well, that`s for you 2 to work out! LOL. Flo is social, loving and will make an excellent companion pet. Is our 50lbs model ready doggy the right one for you? Please come and see for yourself.Social Outing Aug 11: Flo is such a sweet girl who loves saying hi to new people and especially loves belly rubs!! She did fantastic on the hike we went on and she just collapsed into our laps for cuddles on the drive home. She did very good on the leash and loves to splash in the water. She is also amazing on a leash. She loves other people as well, and is the sweetest girl to anyone we have introduced her to. We are absolutely loving fostering her!!! Meet Boone Boone is an absolutely stunning young dog. We rescued him from a high kill shelter. We think Boone is a Plott hound mix, possibly Tennesee Treeing Hound based on his overall looks and ears. He came in to us as an older puppy and sadly, he is still with us after over five years. Boone is almost 6 years old and is 57 lbs of muscle and heart. Since arriving Boone has been a gentleman dog. He’s really friendly. He’s energetic, but it’s not frenetic activity. Boone is polite and rather calm, especially considering how long he has been confined to a shelter. He walks great on a leash, and loves being out of his kennel to enjoy the companionship of his person. Boone will make for a great hiker. This breed is known for its stamina, endurance and agility. They can be all business and focused when working or engaged in training, but when at home they are mellow and enjoy the downtime. Boone is definitely a staff favorite and our hearts are broken that he has been with us so long. Boone is smart and alert. He will do best in an active home where he is physically and mentally occupied. He seems to like other dogs and but is not a fan of cats. Boone hopes to get his chance to go home, and he is going to make for a wonderful companion and will be loyal to his people. If you are looking for a fun, sweet and active boy, not to mention incredibly handsome, Boone may be the one for you. Meet Tessa! This big baby girl came in as a stray and was nervous, shy and timid. She was also unfamiliar with the leash but has since learned how to walk on a leash. The environment makes her very nervous and so she is looking for a calm and understanding home environment where she can adjust and begin to feel comfortable again. We think she is far away from home, because she wants to socialize and be with people. She enjoys being pet and will brush her body up against you with tail wagging. When she gets relaxed enough she will lay down for belly rubs. She is very soft and fluffy, and staff absolutely love her big fluffy tail! More than anything, staff can`t get over her `smile`! When you give Tessa attention and baby talk, she will lift up her lips and give a smile, which can be surprising before you realize that she is trying to mimic the hoomans and speak our language! Tessa is also tolerant around other dogs! She is also young and has a lot of life and adventures to look forward to! If you are looking for a very unique and loving dog, Tessa is your girl!
