Meet Peppercorn! This hound gal has a voice and isn't afraid to use it - whether she's announcing its walk time or sharing her thoughts about her day. Walks are her favorite thing, the second the leash comes out she's ready to hit the road with tail-wagging enthusiasm! Peppercorn has been keeping her kennel mostly accident-free (after a short adjusting period) and seems to enjoy staying tidy. She also has a hilarious love for high places - if there's a platform, ledge or even a suspiciously climbable food container nearby, she's plotting her ascent. She believes life is better with a view! We have noticed some reactivity with Peppercorn and other dogs. So, it may be best that she is in a home as an only pet or we request that a meet and greet is done before she was to leave the shelter. She also has not been tested with our house cats just yet. If you are looking for a vocal walking buddy with bold spirit, a curious mind and just the right amount of sass, Peppercorn might be the perfect seasoning for your life! Adopted Lucy as a puppy and have had her almost a year now. She is very sweet and playful. We live in an apartment and she just needs more space and someone with more time to give her.

Lucy came to us after her owner`s health issues prevented her for caring for Lucy any longer. She is just a sweetheart of a dog who has has positive interactions with everyone she`s met. She gives greyhound vibes in her demeanor and build and we think she is just lovely. As a young adult herself, she is energetic and has played well with younger dogs in playgroup here. Come and meet Lucy. This is the second time she has found herself at a shelter and she really needs someone to give her that forever home she deserves!

We know Elton's loving family is out there!  He has been patiently waiting at the DASH Prison Training Program.  He has been with us for over a year and deserves his furever home! He you are looking for an active, fun-loving pup, he is the one. Elton is a young, energetic guy who lives for playtime! Toss him a ball and you’ll instantly become best friends. He’s a graduate of the DASH Prison Training Program, where he learned basic commands and continues to work on his manners. He’s housebroken, social, and gets along well with other dogs and people. However, because he can get rough, small dogs are not recommended. While Elton doesn’t like to share his food or toys, he’s full of affection and thrives when given structure and activity. He hasn’t been tested with kids or cats yet, so proper introductions are important. Elton has a ton of energy to burn and can get jumpy when excited , but with regular exercise and continued training, he’ll be an amazing companion for an active household. Because Elton is a vocal pup, apartment or condo life wouldn’t be ideal. He also enjoys “talking” to passing cars, so a secure, tall fence is a must, this adventurous boy is a climber! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun companion who’s always up for a good time, Elton could be your perfect match. Meet Wolfie! A handsome Catahoula Leopard dog with a heart as big as his personality! This sweet boy loves his people and isn't shy about showing it- expect tail wags and the occasional "hug" from this affectionate goofball! Wolfie came to us from a humane case where he had spent most of his time in a crate, so he's still polishing up on his potty-training skills. With patience, consistency and lots of encouragement we are sure he will be able to learn quickly in his new home. He's also improving on a leash each day and learning walks can be exciting adventures! In the yard, Wolfie thrives when he's with his favorite people, soaking up attention and enjoying the fresh air. At the shelter he hasn't shown much reactivity to other dogs, making him a promising candidate for a home with a canine companion. If you are looking for a loyal shadow who will happily trade hugs for love and guidance, Wolfie may be the perfect match for you!
